The gazebo is really nice but it is right off the lobby and the walk way to the buffet is right there too so people are constantly walking by. People just stop and gather around and start taking pictures. But there are locations on the beach that are even less private. Right smack in the middle of everything.Maybe pick a time that is less busy at the buffet so there isn't much traffic. -
I'm pretty sure it is through the airline/travel agent. we had every 16th person free with west jet and we were 1 person short in the end to get 2 free people so the airline gave us a deal and we only had to pay taxes on the one flight.

I had the violin, but I can't remember at all any music playing. My guests said it was beautiful and they all cried. My wedding planner asked me when I got down there what music I wanted to be playing but I was so hungover that I said whatever. So she said the traditional songs would play... later my guests told me that after the ceremony they played "like a virgin" by Madonna! hahahaha I was pretty embarrassed! So my advice would be to pick songs!

Hey ladies! I am leaving Wednesday for Mexico! My wedding is on May 4th and I am using the resort photographer, DJ and spa for my hair. I will let you future brides know how it goes since I know there is a lot of negative feedback about them all. Hopefully I have some positive stuff to bring back! xo

Does anyone know what the last part of the planning process (setp 8: rooms/day pass) is for? Is it just for outside vendors/guests or is for everyone on your guest list?

We start booking in July and I think prices stayed reasonable until about October. A bunch of people were waiting for deals in February, but by February the prices were almost double!

For all you brides getting married in May next year warn your guests not to wait too late to book the hotel! The Palace is all full for this May (1st-8th) and I still have guest that have booked flights but no hotel, now they have to stay at one of the other Barcelo's. Plus prices sky rocketed after we booked and never went back down... for all those people that think they can wait for last minute deals! Doesn't happen for this hotel!

Hi ladies, I have decided to opt out of the cocktail hour but was hoping I could send my guests to one of the bars while they wait for the reception to start. Did someone say that they served appetizers at the lobby bar? Any bar that you would recommend to send them too? Thanks!!!!

It's totally normal, but I would send her a quick email just to see if she got your last. I went 3 months without hearing from mine so I sent her an email and she said she sent me one awhile back. No harm checking in!

Hey ladies! I am just deciding if we should do extra hours at the reception, has anyone done this and thought it was too much time or not enough? Or anyone booking extra hours? We are doing the mint package so we have a 3 hours reception. We might add on at least an hour... any thoughts? Also, we want to do a DJ....does anyone know if we have to use a certain one or if we have to find one on our own? Any recommendations?

Thanks for all your feedback! I really hope I don't have to wait until a couple weeks or month before to plan it! But if I do, does anyone know how many people to a table in the banquet halls? Also for DJ's, should I find and book my own or does the resort have one that they like you to use? Does anyone know what the menu options are? Thanks ladies!

Hi Ladies! I am getting married May4th, 2013 and haven't planned a thing! I know some of you are saying that your WC takes forever to reply, but I haven't heard from mine in 2 months!!!! I have Xhail and the last I heard was when she sent me the excel sheet to start planning and I haven't heard anything back from her. I emailed her again about 2 weeks ago to see if she got my last email, but heard nothing back. Should I be freaking out?
