How long does it take for them to process you deposit so I can say its really official. It's driving me crazy knowing I had the date but that they haven't ran through my credit card to tell me it's locked in. Did you girls call or email to find out or just let them contact you?

chelseacat802- do you know what type of decorations you are bringing with you. we are getting married 11/12/13 at the beach resort but want to start thinking about what I want to bring with us. I am so anxious to try and get some stuff out of the way so I don't have to worry about it. as of now I don't even know the location of where to get married the beach or the terrace because I wanted to wear wedges seeing my fiancé is 6 2' and im 5 1' lol....what are you wearing for shoes? hope your planning is coming along...9 months today for us!!

No problem... We are getting married 11/12/13 I can't wait! I hope everything turns out to be amazing. Now let the real planning begin... Is anyone just doing a regular dinner? I don't want anything to expensive because we are coming home and having a celebration with our friends and family who couldn't make it to Jamaica.. We just want to have a laid back ceremony and a vacation with our family.

I just called and spoke to the wedding department. They said its one wedding per day at each resort. So there could be two weddings in a day but not at the same iberostar

Really I thought so too? How do you know they are doing more then one a day?

Sheryllj520, Sounds like you have even doing some research like me. I'm driving myself crazy trying to book a resort. I love the pics I have saw from the hilton but I am getting frustrated not being able to connect with the wc I have called so many times and just get a voicemail it's not putting a good first impression. I am hoping to book this week I have two other resorts I'm looking at the iberostar rose hall beach an riu Montego Bay. But I would love to see if the hilton has our date which is 11/12/13? I just want to talk to someone ugh frustrating. I have even done the online request a long time ago and haven't heard anything. How did you reserve your date? I am getting a voicemail of Charlene I believe but she never answers the phone. Sorry I'm venting but I just want to book the date. I'm sure your guests can book either way but are u getting a group discount from the ta? I am having my guests book through the ta cause its much easier.

Melb2012 I am thinking of gran Bahia principe Jamaica for 11/12/13 not sure if they will have that date but hopefully we will book soon so confused on resorts. How did you reserve your date and are you doing a civil ceremony? How long is the ride from Montego Bay to the resort do you know... Good luck planning everything

Hi ladies, I am looking to book out wedding for November of this year and was wondering how you girls got your dates reserved? Does anyone know how many weddings a day they have just curious? I am really hoping to book our date soon with a resort and this resort looks beautiful. Also does anyone know how long of a drive from the Montego airport it is to the resort? Would love to be able to hear what you ladies have been through.

I would love to do the civil ceremony there but nervous about the paperwork involved an the marriage certificate in Spanish... Did anyone get clarification on how long it takes to get mailed or how to get it translated in English.. A lot of people do synodic ceremonies and get married in the us first but I don't want to do that but also want to make sure it's legal in the us... Can someone give me any advice because I am panicking now... Thanks

Thanks missroxy. Yes I am still debating civil or symbolic but wish I could talk to someone who had a civil ceremony or going to have a a civil just so I could see how it was... Yea the only thing about the symbolic ceremony is that I didn't want the date I got really married at here to be our actual wedding date... I don't mind waiting for the marriage certificate but care more about if everything is legal here if I do everything there.. So confused

Thanks ladies for your input... I am doing research for a civil ceremony in Dominican Republic but want to make sure it's legal in the states? I am nervous about doing it down there but it's really what I want to do... Do you guys have any advise?missroxy how did you decide to do a symbolic ceremony instead of a civil ceremony just curious if you don't mind...omg that is crazy news when is your wedding again... What are the odds that she would be due the same time.. Aww sorry to hear that but you will still have an amazing time and then you will get to come home and spend all the time in the world with the new bundle of joy... Good luck
