From what I see for prices for resort spas, its quite pricey. Plus you will be so busy when you get there is my guess. I personally am going to do it before we leave. We fly on a monday so I will do a day with them on the saturday before we leave

oh I wish my Fi would do that for me. lol He didnt think ww was needed if only I ate good blah blah blah. WW definatly worked for me and so thankful I stuck with it. Im still maintainin my goal weight but I was about 5 lbs less then my goal weight which id like to get back to plus a little bit more BEFORE the wedding. Thankfully I have a bit of time to do this! OH I DID! lol in a nice way. She told me to be patient as she is talking to her supervisor to see if we can have that date and time. If they dont the better be upgrading me to some sort of presidential suite! lol. And the fact that we are thinking of booking our honey moon at the riu in negril....this might change if this doesnt work out... lol. THANKFULLY I have some time but geez -smh-

Im not paying for my bridesmaids dresses. However I am looking for less expensive options for them, and what will fit in their budget. We are trying to keep it under 200. However, I am buying them gifts as well as Ill be treating them to a pedicure before we leave. Ill be paying for pedicures for My mother, my 3 bridesmaids, myself, my mother inlaw and my FI grandma. I was going to pay for them to get a manicure or gels as well, but I just cannot afford it.

i know riight? why on earth will i Pay 1200 for the exact same dress thats going to be made in china. Its not being made by the actual designer her self... Thats exciting! Cant wait to hear how yours turns out!

and Ps When I found out that the bridal store gets their dress made in China, I decided to give the ebay thing a shot!

I purchased a dress off Ebay last week. I ordered it early as my wedding is IN Jan 2014. Currently I have a deposit on a maggie at a bridal shop. With taxes the dress is going to cost me around 1200 plus alterations. HOWEVER when I was browsing ebay I had noticed a dress that I liked which is the one I orderd for 130 shipped. I later realized its the exact same as the Maggie I love but just doenst have the label (which I am fine with) I originally was planning to use this as my TTD but if it comes in and looks good and can be used for both the ceremony and the TTD the next day then I saved my self over 1000 dollars! So I ordered it early incase it doesnt look how i expect, that way I have enough time to still order the Maggie at the Bridal shop in order for it to get here before my wedding Im really hoping the one from ebay looks relatively the same! *crossing fingers*

I had originally made my reservatons for date and time with Fernanda and recvd 2 confirmations from her on the date and time, and now they are telling me that its a completely different time. Im waiting to hear back what happens. thankfully I have some time, But its just a pain as now I have to wait to confirm other arrangments!

So I got a email back from the person who schedules the weddings ( which is in mexico, how that makes sense I dont know) anyways apparently Fernanda who is no longer there screwed up and my time isnt available on that date. I wrote a nice long reply back, and fwd the emails to the new girl Ana explaning that this is not my fault as I confirmed TWICE! with Fernanda and both times she responded back with " this is to CONFIRM Jan 16 2014 at 3pm ( this is the only time available) And she typed the second email like that after i asked her if she was 100% Certain that it was available. How is this my fault?!?!?! I emailed them twice to confirm. Now invitations are sent out with that date and time. As well as Vendors/photographers are booked. Someone is going to fix this or I will not be a happy person!!!

i did.. and she was like " email the person who gave you the confirmation" oh I have EVERY email from all of them. Because I knew something like this would happen. Im worried ill show up and have no ceremony. Heads will roll then! lol Id be lke at this point I dont care where the ceremony is but its happening at this time and you are going to make it happen! it just sucks because now I have to wait to book my photographer

And so my wedding ceremony date/time drama continues. So the other day I recvd a email from the Photographer at the Riu about our wedding photos and them wanting to photograph it, However the date indicated JAN 17 2014. So I emailed Keisha because this is the 2nd email I recvd that indicated this date, and I had said that our wedding ceremony is to be for Jan 16 2014 at 3 pm. She responded and said she has it for Jan 16 2014 at 1pm! I have 2 emails from the person who does the scheudling of the weddings telling me that my wedding is Jan 16 2014 at 3 pm. Now i have to go back and forth with these ppl to find out what is going on. IM scared ill show up there and not have a ceremony date at all! ;/

Oh really? Well then lol I'm going to Vegas in June so I might get them three times! Now I have to wait for the next groupon. Ill post them when I do

I always see on groupon "mink" eyelashes. I heard they are good. Anyone know!? I'm gonna get a groupin for eyelash extensions for my friends wedding in August. That will b my trial for my wedding in January

I too also love kim K eyes. I dont wear mascara on bottom lashes. I think i would for myself, get the top ones. but not the bottom ones. My friend is getting married in August. So im thinking of using her wedding as a trial for the extensions. and then if it looks good ILl get them for my wedding. im doing a TTD session so dont really wanna wear make up or mascara since it will run. ;/

IVe heard a lot of ppl lately getting eyelash extensions. I am thinking of getting them done for my wedding as well. I dont want the fake glue on ones falling off in the ceremony!! The extensions stay on for a bout 3 weeks so it sounds pretty perfect!

oh! thats good to know! so I could potentially go off the resort buy a boquet for cheap and bring it on and they cant do anything !? ehheh I saw a pic of the free one and its nice. Im still debating on what i want to do about the flowers or what im going to have my BM carry. I might just do one calla lilly or something for them. I still got time:)

Anyone know if they would charge a vendor fee if you brought fake flowers? I dont think they really can do that if they did. I understand real flowers. But Just curious:)

The pricing I posted above is the most recent email I got from Keisha last week. I would email them again and confirm but thats the pricing list she gave me for the Extras.. Maybe the 10.50 one is just for a reception and NOT dinner.

Hey . im not sure on the price for the pool deck Reception. But for the Disco(club) you can rent it 2 hours prior to it opening at 11. That is what Im doing so that way we can have our first dance. speeches if any.. etc. I dont think they can really stop speeches at dinner Its basically like them saying you are not allowed to talk. I just dont think you can use a mic in there , thats all. The prices for the disco I find are the best as it includes the DJ, open bar and the space privately for 2 hours. The price is as follows: PRIVATE DINNER ON THE BEACH, POOL DECK.. Set up cost $600.00 plus $67/per person includes open bar Plantation Resturant(private dinner reception) $1000.00 US for 4 hrs PLUS $10.50 per additional person booked on the package PRIVATE RENTAL OF THE DISCO (anywhere from 10 am-1030 pm) 1-20 guests only US $500.00 20-50 guests only US $650.00 50-100 guests only US $1000.00 **INCLUDES OPEN BAR, BARTENDER AND A DJ.** At 11pm disco is open to the hotel public except on tuesdays Hope this helps!

Thats exactly the same with us. I want to have a baby and start our family and if we hadn't got engaged this past december then we would of been having a baby instead. So now we are engaged so wedding first and then Baby after. Otherwise IF we had got engaged i dont know 4 years earlier( been together for 7 now) then we would have had a longer engagement but time is of the essance lol I havent even started with the OOT bags. I think ill wait until I have more of idea of whos coming or not. How many ppl do you have confirmed so far?

Im actually considering Marcia now too. Her prices are pretty good and i feel i might get more then I would from Brian. Although I am absolutly in love with Brians work. With marcia I see that you get the 2 photog like Kdoyle says and shes there basically all day. Its something I will discuss with my FI for sure. And Maybe we can negotiate something with Brian. I like that Marcia pays the vendor fee instead of reimbursing it or taking it off the price. Thats a Plus. Defin. Brian and Marcia are my top 2. If you need some pics from the photog from the resort let me know and I can email them to you so you can see the quality he has.

Hey. I think its a little bit more but the QUALITY is the difference. My TA sent me pics of a wedding that was recently just there, and the quality of the pics just didnt do it for me. Brian also takes off the vendor fee up to 350 which is what the RIU charges for a vendor fee. So Basically you arnt paying the vendor fee as its off your package. I have the pricelist somewhere for the resort photographer but it was something stupid like 20$ per pic and with Brian the smallest package is like 250 pics and then some all on a cd Where the resort one is you have to pick which ones you like the best and possibly have to leave some behind or spend even more money. Pictures are a big thing for us so we are going to spend a little more and also do a TTD the next day so thats another 150 pics also. His quality is amazing and its something we are willing to spend a little bit more on In the end I cant spend money on pics that I am going to hate Hope that helps a little
