  1. To all the NJ brides who do not have a dress yet Loehmann's in Paramus is having a big sale on saturday.  They are having a "Grab the Gown" event on designer dresses and the dresses are $300 to $1,000.00.  I plan on being there bright and early on saturday morning with my sisters/bridesmaids to hopefully find my dress and save some money.  Just wanted to share the info.  http://www.loehmanns.com/BRIDAL/

I got a lot of ideas from this site, so I wanted to share in case someone else wants to do something similar. Feel free to ask any questions or let me know if you want to to post any specific pictures of what was included cheesy.gif

I purchased beach pocket folders (from www.booksox.com), and inside I included:

    -Welcome/Thank You letter

    -Pre-Travel Brochure (created on VistaPrint)

-Excursion Detail Flyer (something we will be doing, our guests can join us if they would like)

-Map of the Resort (Iberostar Rose Hall Beach in Jamaica)

-Packing Checklist (from www.travelsmith.com in their Travel Center area, 1 per person)

-Jamaica Tourism Book (our travel agent got these for us)

-Jamaica Desk Calendar (something we received with the Tourism Book, so I decided to include it)

    -Luggage Tags (2 per person)

    -Key Card/Tip Holder

These came out great!! Looks like a travel packet you get from a travel agent.  Its a nice personal touch.  Thanks for all the ideas.

Yes, I actually reserved a package yesterday it was for the app and 3 cameras so I can use the app now until the wedding and use the 3 cameras the whole weeked we are in Cancun.  I like that I can add every wedding event like the bridal shower, bach parties, rehearsal dinner, wedding and the honeymoon if you want.  It all depends on what package you want and it only starts at $99.00. Here is a blog of one of the brides from this forum that used it you can get more info on the there about the video.

We have 3 weeks till the wedding....I figure, if they have not booked by NOW, then they are not coming at all.  I am going to do one final run down 1.5 weeks ahead and hopefully I get more real answers.  My problem is that I don't want to take more OOT bags than I have to..... *sigh*.....

Also, videography prices.....can't believe how much they charge at the resorts ...for cookie cutter type videos!!! and that damn vendor fee....I had to protest about that to my coordinator a couple times lol I bet she cannot wait to meet meeee!! :-

Check out weddingmix for your video its cool you can have different people video the whole week/weekend and its pretty cheap. Its not going to be your professional type wedding video but you will have something fun you can always look back on and the prices are reasonable. Plus instead of just having a video of the wedding day you can do the whole vacation. Check out their website http://www.storymixmedia.com/weddings/how-it-works-weddingmix-wedding-video.html.
  7. My fiance and I have talked about doing a small church ceremony.  It would be at the church that he was baptized in and that I frequented as a child.  Both his parents and my parents would be happy that we at least got married in the church since the rest of the wedding is non-traditional.  Not sure yet what we will do.  If we do it in the church only our parents and sibliings will be in attendance so that it doesn't take away from the ceremony in Cancun for our other guests.  Really need to start looking into this otherewise I guess we will do it at the courthouse.
