Hey ladies. Thank you all for your kind words. That really reassures me that there is a dress out there for me. I found a few that I really like but something was always missing. I looked at a catalouge at the store and found one that has everything I liked from the other dresses all rolled into one dress. So I'm going to try that one on next week. I'm sure it will happen but it's definitely getting a little nerve wracking. lol How's things with everyone else?

Unfortunately I can't open it. I better get to posting more often. I'm sure that it is wonderful Jolene. I'm off tonight to try on more dresses. Yes I've left it a little last minute but I just can't find anything that I LOVE. Fingers crossed please ladies

Hello there. I was just browsing through all of the cuba forums and noticed this didn't have a response. I'm getting married at the ILA in Varadero Jan 25th 2014. The pictures are very important to me as well. What I did was put an ad on kijiji and the wedding bee website offering to pay for the photographers trip in exchange for their services on the day of the wedding (and I needed the day after the wedding as well). There were a ton of replies. I found a lovely girl that works out of Toronto and her work is amazing. I can't wait to see the pictures she takes at our wedding. My only other advice would be, be careful and choosy when picking a photographer. If the email isn't very well written take it as a sign and just delete. I hope this helps. Hey there. Sorry about that. I totally missed your question the first time. That's exactly how I made them. I picked up the letters from Walmart ($1.79 each) and then the twine (2.00) each and just wrapped them around. Just make sure you wrap them very tight. My fingers were almost raw from the pulling and handling of the twine. Love how they turned out though. We are using the picture frame for a picture of my fiances dad. He passed away a year ago so we are going to do a little poem or something and the picture. I'm not sure where I'm going to set this up though. The LOVE will go on the guest book table. My boss at work, her dad does wood working and he's going to make my puzzle for everyone to sign as a pseudo guest book.

Here are my flowers I've started for my bouquet. They don't have centres yet. I'm going to use antique looking brooches. I was just using pearls in the one flower to see what it would look like.

Hey girls. Had a busy weekend but I found some time to sneak in a little DIY work. lol I'm bringing a bunch of decorations down with me. My family is going to help with transporting the stuff and also because we have so many people booked we received a bunch of upgrades, one being extra weight in our luggage. It's worth it for me. I'm partly sad that I'm not having a wedding here (I love to plan weddings) so the decorations and DIY stuff will help me get over that . My vision is shabby chic, soft, romantic, antique, rustic all rolled into one! Bahaha! Also started to make the flowers for my DIY fabric flower bouquets but I don't have pictures of them. Will post when I get more done.

So handsome. You are knocking things off your list that haven't even made my list. LOL It's time to get down to business for me. Thanks for the kick in the butt hahaha!! I love that band. I love that it is different. I would want something a little thicker if I was wearing it on it's own. That's just me though. Love it with your engagement ring. They compliment each other very well.

Hello everyone. Just thought I would share. We officially have 42 people booked for our wedding and many more booking closer to the date. I'm so thrilled that part of it is over. Now bring on the fun stuff. Going to try on more dresses this week. Can't wait for that. Hope everyone's planning is going smoothly.

Hey guys......how are you all doing? Well I hope. I just received an email from my travel agent and there are 28 people confirmed and more bookings happening everyday. I'm sooo thrilled. There are people coming that I never thought would come so a nice surprise there. Tried on my first wedding dress while we were on vacation. We were in Myrtle Beach visiting my fiances grandmother and since she is from the US she can't travel with us to Cuba so I thought it would be nice for us to have that experience together. Didn't find anything I absolutely loved but it was nice to know what style of dress and which colour will look the best on me. We had an awesome time. Now that everyone is booked I guess it's time to start getting some other things done. I'm such a procrastinator lol I'll post anything I get done Hope everyone's planning is coming along

Don't worry Kay I need to step up my game as well. My girlfriend is getting married in Jamaica (actually she is probably on the plane now headed there) and she got her flowers done at the Pickering flea market. They are your colours and kind of what you were after. I thought of you when she showed me actually. She got them done at the Pickering flea market. They are gorgeous and she only paid $200 for everything. I'm not sure how many bouquets she got but they did her bout's & corsages as well. I know you do have some flowers already but if you want to save yourself the work I'm sure you can always sell that on ebay or one of these wedding websites. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you pictures when they get back. Who knows they might even bring theirs back in good shape and you could get them half price. No pressure just thought I'd share. Also you could put them together and then get those styrofoam blocks and stick the stems in there to hold them upright and then cover them in a plastic bag or garbage bag and store them in a dry spot in your house. Did I tell you we just bought a house!!! Eeeek so much going on at the same time. Our dog is getting fixed we are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach. Too busy for the wedding stuff. bahahaha! Hey Kay. How are you doing? Try Etsy. You can get regular puzzle pieces for a good price. The wood ones are very expensive. There are sites as well where you can take a picture of yourselves and turn it into a puzzle and have everyone sign or leave a msg on the backside that is blank. I also loved the idea of people signing or leaving a msg on a Jenga piece. I might do that instead. It's bad when I have too many options! lol Hope all is well Kay talk soon xo
