  1. Hi! So this is what the email from my coordinator said "You can have the same meal for them that you are offering, or we also have an option of a vendor meal which is $9 for a club soda with fries and soda." So you can definitely add this info :-)
  2. Hi! So my coordinator said I could have a small table for vendors and also there is a vendor meal that is $9 and includes a sandwich and soda and like chips or something
  3. Welcome!!! This forum has been SO helpful!!!! Hope you get the date you want!!!
  4. I am bringing my own chistmas lights for sure- there are 6 poles for them at plaza zavez and that would be $300 just for lights and i think thats crazy!! My coordinator told me to get 25 ft long strands so I bought 6 of them from christmas lights etc. :-)
  5. Hi! I would try and put at least a few rooms aside to block, that way you will know for sure you have some. We made a wedding website with all the booking info as well and then I just kept telling people to go on it and book their trip soon. I felt like I was being a pest, but I just kept texting and emailing people that i knew were def trying to come ,letting them know rooms were filling up.
  6. I have Elizabeth Riff she is awesome and responds really quickly.... I started with a girl named Amanda and she wouldn't respond for like over 2 weeks so they gave me Liz and I've been so much happier- I recently heard that Amanda isn't with the company anymore and I was not siprprised
  7. Hi! So I have not had my wedding yet but thought I could help a a little anyways- We are having our reception at plaza zalvez and they told us it is completely private- no one is allowed in that area- the pools close at a certain time so Im not worried about people coming into our area- From what I have read about past weddings, mojito bar seems to be the place to go after!! I also read that the teen nightclub opens up to everyone around 11 so people go there as well- as far as the dj goes we are using dj doremixx, he came VERY highly recommended by alot of brides- we are paying the $800 vendor fee and he is charging us $800 for 5 hours of music so its still less expensive than their dj- I think his price may have gone up for 2013 but only by like $100-$150. And we are doing our cocktail hour right by our reception at plaza zalvez (by the pool with the gazebo) so he will do the music for the cocktail party and reception which is great!! We are flying in a friend for the photography but there is a forum on here just about photographers you should def look up. Hope this helps :-)
  8. You are so welcome!!! The little lights from Michaels come with batteries that need to be put in right before the wedding so we are just going to give them to the wedding coordinator and have them put them in when they set everything up- I spent so much time trying to figure out the throwies and they were stressing me out too!! haha I emailed my coordinator as well about the tables so we can keep each other updated :-)
  9. Hi! So I bought these little lights at michaels called celebration lights, they look like little bullets and come in a pack of 12 for $9.99. We are going to use 2 in each lantern and they have little holes in the top so you can just tie some fishing line and hang them from the metal part of the lantern- super easy and inexpensive!! The rest of the fishing line I will give to them to hang the lanterns with. I was going to do the LED throwies but this seemed easier lol. I believe we bought lanterns varying in size from 8, 12 , and 16. As for the tables they are 5 ft across and round so you will need to buy 120" tablecloths. As for runners we are trying to get ones that are either 90 or 108 inches long and about 12 inches wide. Not sure about the tables for the guestbook or cake thats actually a really good question!! I will ask my coordinator and if you find out let me know thanks!!
  10. From what I have heard from past brides about 25-30 are good in varying sizes- I bought about 30 from just artifacts.com they have great prices!
  11. Are you doing legal or symbolic ceremony? We are doing symbolic so we just put our own script together for them to read
  12. Hi! I am a little less than 3 months away from the date! I have been buying a bunch of decorations and figuring out all of our music. I also am finalizing my shoes and jewelry and figuring out how I want my hair. We are going to also get all the stuff for the welcome bags and favors. And I need to buy my bridesmaids gifts as well!! What have you been up to?
  13. Lol that is exactly what I was picturing!! Ok maybe no veil and hair up then thanks!!
  14. You look so beautiful!! Thanks for the review it definitely helps to hear good things from another bride that has had her wedding at Azul!! Can you tell me what the wind was like? I want to have my hair half up and half down but i am afraid it will blow all over - what do you think? did your veil blow all over as well?
  15. Ok sorry they are called fishing weights not stones sorry lol i dont know a thing about fishing !!
  16. Hi so we are using fishing stones... Like the metal things that are like little anchors... I bought these floating candles from just artifacts they are little flowers on lily pads and they have these flashing led lights in them. We basically tore them apart and took out the flashing lights and my fiancé put in those flickering fake candles and tied some fishing line to that and to the bottom and tied a fishing anchor thing to the bottom. This way the wind won't blow them all over!!
  17. When I visited the resort we saw plaza zalvez and it was close enough to the pool for pool candles. They said a lot of girls bring the candles and it looks really pretty. We are going to attach fishing line and stones to the bottoms so they will stay in place and not float away.
