Has anyone been in contact with the spa at ERC? I've been trying to make hair and makeup appointments for myself and my bridal party but the communication has been hard. I feel like I write carefully worded emails with specific questions, but they never answer them. They respond back with questions to the same things I already sent them (ie: how long is your hair? when is your wedding day?). Ummm, I already told you all of that, but okay here it is again and then I resend my original questions and get....no answers back. I also told them I wanted all of us to be done by a specific time and then they sent me a tentative booking and some of the girls won't be finished until just before the ceremony. Ummm no, I'm trying to avoid stress. I haven't been anxious about very much for this wedding but I really want to have at least an hour before the ceremony to chill out with my girls, my Mom and FMIL, relax and get into my dress when the photographers arrive. I've had so many girlfriends tell me to make sure to schedule extra time to get ready, because stuff happens. Maybe I should just go through Gloria.

I was wondering the same thing about OOT bags. Not only is it easier to transport together but it sounds like they search through your bags and you have to produce receipts. I imagine this would move along quicker if you had all of your sunscreens together, advil packages, etc. The only thing I thought is that the first night I'm there maybe I will stay up late, put all the bags together and be done with it? I don't think I'll go crazy with the little tags with sayings on everything, which admittedly are cute but it would be time consuming putting it all on. We're not doing a sand ceremony because we just wouldn't keep the sand thingy. I'm sure they're pretty but we don't have lots of decorative stuff in our house. Your FI may think vows are cheesy but the day is about love and no one is going to rib him for his vows. We'll definitely be doing our own vows, especially since we can't personalize the legal ceremony. You're getting so close! It sounds like you have it all pretty organized. Soon you'll be having fun and relaxing down there!

That is so true, everyone is so helpful on this forum. And if you ever have a question about how to use it, no one ever makes you feel silly for asking.

Are the totes available in the summer section of anyone's Dollar Tree yet? I check every few weeks but I haven't seen them at the one near me.

Awesome! I don't remember if I've talked to you before but we're getting married at ERC on Nov 21st. We're staying there for a second week for our honeymoon because I don't think we could top that resort, it looks phenomenal!

I'm going to start on our playlists soon too. We should share our lists of fun dance songs once we're done!

Hi Dina, I like to be over prepared so don't put too much stock in what I've done plus I'd rather have less to do during the summer so we can have fun at the beach! We have our trip booked through our TA. We have the photographers booked and the deposit down with them. I have my dress ordered and my Aunt will do the alterations in late summer/early fall. I've started buying some gifts for the bridesmaids and some things for the OOT bags as I see stuff on sale or at good prices. Also as I do this, I keep them in a suitcase to remind myself HOW MUCH I'm planning to bring down so I don't go overboard. I'm currently sewing napkins for the reception because I like the look of mismatched prints and they'll be light to bring down but add some needed colour. I also figured, why not I have the time and we can keep them afterwards. I'd like to order our wedding bands soon (just have to get the FI's ring sized as we're ordering his online) and find a grey suit for him. We also have to find affordable grey pants and shirts for the groomsmen and work on our playlists (slowly) as we're not having a DJ. To be honest when you think of the things we HAVE to do, there aren't that many. But I want to do a lot of little extras because it feels like I have the time as compared to my friends who had traditional weddings and were run off their feet going to appointment after appointment with vendors. Lucky us! Anyone else?

I just ordered my aloe from them as well. I also ordered the SUN spf lip balm. I hope it's good stuff because the prices were awesome!

You can search on Etsy for 'embroidered wedding hankerchief' and then along the side click on the box 'ships to Canada' and there are a TON of options there. My sister in law ordered hers from there and had it shipped to Calgary. Unfortunately she can't remember which store she used but they were lovely.

I just ordered my aloe from Avon for less than $2 for a 150ml bottle which is a really great deal. I'm going to give one bottle per couple. I also ordered the spf lip balm from them as well for $.79 a piece.

I tried on that first dress and it's gorgeous! They are both beautiful. Post pics after you try them on!

Yes, I have started the pestering because I really want to know now! If anyone has been married in the civil ceremony, can you let me know what was said? We're getting married at the Excellence Riviera Cancun so I thought it might be similar to the EPM.

Does anyone know the actual wording of the legal/civil ceremony? My wedding planner says she can't give me the wording because it's legal. I'm having a hard time understanding why something that will be said at our wedding and which we will be committing ourselves to is a secret.
