Hello ladies!!! Two questions: 1) What is everyone walking down aisle to? I’m torn between something classic or a song that has meaning. 2) For the past BP brides (or anyone that’s stayed at BP), are their dinner menus online somewhere for the restaurants at BP? Just curious what they have. -

I am seriously stressing over my wedding which is 2 months away and mainly due to wait for it, big shocking news in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…guests are being late bookers. I have clocked NUMEROUS phone calls with Kalena and I have to say she is simply wonderful. She’s not even my WC or WP (not even sure who is!), but she has helped me from day 1 and is remaining closely involved because she knows my wedding so well, what I want, etc. Will definitely be asking management how I can compensate her for all her helpfulness.

Just put the most massive binder together with all of my contracts, resort brochure, collection overviews, menus, photo overviews, itineraries, planner, etc. I feel a little more sane having everything together in one place even though it probably weighs about 10 pounds!

For anyone that had a legal ceremony or will have one, does your state require you to file your marriage license? I called my local county today (in Virginia) and they don't require you to file your certificate. They said it just needs to be translated to English and once you have your certificate/ceremony you're considered legally married. So if you don't file your marriage cert, how do they know you're legally married? Especially when it comes time to file taxes. I'm confused...

Anyone have any reviews on spa services (massages, facials)? I'm thinking of booking a facial and massage for the morning of the wedding. Maybe not the facial in case they jack my face up, but definitely a nice 80 minute stress reliever massage.

Yea, I think its milk cake Nicole. I requested a 2 tier cake; one tier chocolate, the other vanilla. Figured I'd keep it simple. Apparently there are other desserts too?

Thanks girl! Margarita is also my WP but I never hear from her, its always Kalena. I did read that Margarita is or was on medical leave though. I just looked at your date, its right around the corner ! Looking forward to hearing how everything went! What are you doing for a signature drink and when, reception? What are the details for your wedding (time, menu items, package, etc)?

Okay ladies, I’m just shy of 3 months (Aug. 10)!!! Here is where I stand: - Mildly freaking out in general J - Gave our guests June 1 deadline for booking - Primarily corresponding with Kalena (Margarita did email me a few times but she’s very non responsive, Kalena on the other hand has been awesome) - Went with pure collection, JSAV for DJ+MC, photo upgrade to deluxe, Tania for hair/makeup and Zuiga for some additional lighting - Ceremony is on the beach at 6 PM, reception near the pool from 6:30 – 10:30 PM - Have my dress, need to get it altered. Shoes, may go barefoot for the ceremony (what do you guys think?) and heels for the reception - I may do OOT bags + wedding favors in one. What do you think and what to include??? - I heard a couple girls did signature cocktails. That’s a great idea if BP will do it for free. - What happens when you’re 3 months out? Who calls me next to finalize things? - Welcome dinner/rehearsal dinner, haven’t thought about this. Does your on-site person help to plan? - Oh yea, did I mention I’m freaking out and feel as if I’m forgetting things left/right?

Did anyone get vaccinated prior to their trip? If so, do you recall what vaccine?

I think some people are just concerned about Mexico in general. Did you walk to the bars/clubs and have any issues at all? This does help, thank you!

Hi Ladies, I’m getting married Aug. 10 at BP and I’m getting a few questions from our guests about the safety of the resort. Have any past BP brides (or anyone that’s stayed there) had any safety issues whatsoever? Also, a few guests have asked if the resort has good bars/clubs. I don’t think it has either right? How far is the Cancun party scene? Lastly, how far is the resort from the airport? Thanks ladies! Stacie

Yes, for the room block you must pay for your entire stay up front and you will receive unlimited private functions and nights on the concierge level when your guests book 75 room nights.

Hi Ladies, One more question; has anyone used a DJ (a DJ, not just the iPod hookup) from JSAV? We may change our music selection and are considering the DJ/dance floor package so our DJ friend can relax and not have to worry about working the mic. Did you opt for a dance floor and how was it? Our reception is at the pool area. Any feedback on JSAV DJ’s or the dance floor is appreciated. Thanks fellow BP brides!

It’s all starting to come together, ahh!!! I’m only 5 months out. We selected the BBQ buffet and asked to add a few items from other menu’s, hopefully they’ll agree to that. Any previous brides also use the BBQ buffet? I’m going with the Pure Collection so we get the 3 decorated tables, I know it’s very $$$, but it also saves me time. Collection also comes with the fireworks, musician for ceremony; stuff I would have wanted to add on anyways. We’re going to upgrade our photo package so I can get before/after pics. I’m booking Zuniga for lighting and JSAV for the iPod hookup. Wedding will cost us, but we will definitely save $$$ versus getting married locally. How are things progressing for everyone else?

I would be furious as well!!! My wedding is August 10th at 6 PM and we've booked the sky deck for ceremony and pool area for the reception as well. Guess I had better ensure they're confirmed too...

Hi Ladies, If anyone has the various menu options for the buffet can you please PM them to me? Also, anyone know if the water at the hotel is okay? Like for teeth brushing and the ice in drinks. Random question I know but just want to ensure we don't get sick! Thanks, Stacie
