Any negotiating tips? My flowers are coming out close to $3,000 which is crazy! I would love to negotiate this down if I can so any advice is helpful!

The photographer/videographer pricing for all the vendors I looked into around punta cana is far exceeding my budgeted amount. I had originally booked HDC for my photographer and was going to use the in house Tropic One for videographer. The rates are really high and considering I have to pay $1k for using HDC, I think I may cancel with them and just use Tropic One. Because I am expecting 125 people, I am probably going to choose the biggest photo/video package and it will cost me around $4000. This is almost double what I budgeted but its also the most important thing to me so I'm just going to suck it up. I know I will be grateful every year I look back at pictures and videos

Hi Everyone, I'm getting married at PPC on January 18, 2015. We are having garden ceremony at 5pm, reception in the ballroom following. My mom and I are currently going back and forth with their decorating company for price quotes. I'm glad they request everything be in writing so you have proof of it, but I hate having to wait on answers. We also just booked Pastor York for our symbolic ceremony. I was a little hesitant to spend so much money on him considering my husband and I already had our court wedding here in LA last year, however, I have heard he was amazing and I did want it to be special even if we are already married. Anybody have anything to share about party favors? I can't decide what I want but I want it to be practical since everyone will need to fly back with it. Also, has anybody getting married in 2015 booked with the Entice Me rates? I had to book at the regular rates and Maria who booked me said once the rates for 2015 come out they can adjust my package to reflect the new rates and she believes they will continue as they do every year. I just hope they continue with the entice me rates because I am expecting 125 people which is a $3000 savings to me. My wedding is 6 months away and I feel like things are going as planned. My mom and I are doing DIY letterpress invitations to send out in September so I will post pics once they are done. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

I set my budget at $12,500 for 65 people Aqua package. That includes DJ, Photography and upgrades I plan on making for decorations, flowers, etc. Only thing not included is travel but I plan on using credit card mileage points for that. Hopefully it works out!

I love this site! I've been browsing different resorts on this site for months now and finally confirmed at PPC for January 18, 2015. Wanted to do it sooner but wanted to give my guests more than enough time to save $ and also wanted to avoid hurricane season. I am Dominican and visit Punta Cana regularly and love Jan & Feb weather the most. I wanted to book for Valentine's Day 2015 but they were already booked! So I settled for 1/18/15 which is a Sunday but the next day is MLK Day so many people will have the day off work already and won't have to ask for so many vacation days. Any other 2015 brides???
