    ahh now i get it! i do have a groupon. waiting on some better deals before i use it. i believe they expire in october. i also have a coupon for 25% off. i wonder if i can also use that 50% from retailmenot. maybe i can get all my items for free haha.

    thanks for your input. i don't really want to pay that extra cost without sounding bitchy or anything to our guests. we will be paying $60 per person for reception so to pay for $190 for non resort guests is just ridiculous!

    Haha i'm the same. I'm kinda hoping there won't be too many guests so it will be a lot cheaper. Especially we are planning on doing an island tour for our guests as a thank you. What are your thoughts about guests staying outside the resort? Are we supposed to pay for their day pass? Sandals told me we have to pay $190 for a full day pass for non resort guests attending our wedding. That's ridiculous!

    I have never been to Sandals. We usually stay at couples resorts so we decided to try something new. We have been to Jamaica several times. I love it there! Have you been to Jamaica? we wanted to get married at Turks and Caicos but Beaches is not an adults only resort so we picked emerald bay. it's def not an "easy" island to get married on. Our TA said that there are only 2 airlines that fly direct to Exuma haha. My guests are already whining how expensive, too far blah blah blah our wedding is. I really don't care. If you can't make it that's fine just stfu LOL. Do you have your wedding gown yet?

    it is definitely annoying when people wait on the last minute. i've heard other say " i don't know yet. it depends on our savings/budget". i mean, not to be a bitch but if you REALLY have the intention of going shouldn't you start saving for it? that's precisely why we're telling you a year in advance!

    congratulations!!! let me know how your phone meeting goes. trying to come up with important questions to ask our WC. we are doing the seaside serenade package and it includes the basic sandals photography. i honestly care more about the TTD session so we are hiring an offsite photographer to do it and go to some nice locations on the island. what butler room did you get btw and how much was it for your whole stay?

    How is everybody with their planning? i am getting married November 8 at Sandals Emerald Bay. So far i have only set up our wedding website at http://www.appycouple.com/ I am skipping the standard STDs and invitations. We will be doing them all through the website. We are inviting about 60-70 people but only think 20-20 will actually come Our initial phone call with the pre travel planner will be on October 28.

    my TA is Virgilia from Wright Travel Agency. she has been amazing so far. always prompt to reply to my emails even if my wedding is a year away.

    planning to give OOT bags a few weeks in advance so i don't have to worry about bringing the stuff to the resort. it will include a welcome letter with travel info and things to do

    this thread made me rethink about having an AHR. we are setting up a budget of 17k for the wedding at sandals. expecting about 30guests. if we have extra budget left then we'll do it but i don't think i'm going to factor it in feom the whole wedding budget.
