Congrats!! Which Bahia principe? I'm getting married at the one in Jamaica May 2014 We have family and friends travelling from england and the 2013 prices seemed failr reasonable, hoping the same for 2014!

Donalee emailed me today, they do not have 2014 prices yet and she is unable to give me an estimation of when they will be available (Chandlyn told me back in December she's have then by February..)

Hello! I'm a May 2014 bride at this resort (may 19th) they don't have their pricing for 2014 yet but I am doing a private reception at their outdoor location (piscis beach restaurant) and the 2013 prices are 1700$ for the venue for 4 hours and includes dinner and the dj. I believe beer, soft drinks and wine are included however there is an extra charge per person for open bar liquor. Hope that helps!

I'm just as lost on the invited so I'm unfortunately no help there lol but if your worried about rsvps can you just as your TA to send you a list of booked passengers? I'm hoping that's how ill keep track of guests lol

Going back through my emails Chandlyn did say my ceremony and restaurant are reserved, so I hope that holds true. I emailed her last night asking when the prices will be available, hopefully she gets back to me soon. 3pm should be a great time that time of year, I asked the photographer about my time (they emailed me today) and they said 4pm in may was great for pictures. Hopefully I'm not too rushed. I will keep you updated regarding the 2014 packages!

I would say book the restaurant now if you can. I am under the impression that may ceremony and reception is booked for may 2014 however like you I haven't been asked for any deposits (I did have to fill out a wedding form though). I'm going to email Chandlyn now to make sure they have me booked!

Hi Ladies! For those that have reserved 2014 dates, were you able to choose a package yet? I have my budget worked out but I'm nervous that the package prices might be higher for 2014. I'm a planner and It drives me crazy to not have all the info lol I've booked my date for may 19,2014 at 4pm, any previous may brides think that's a good time for a ceremony? I was hoping to have the dinner start at 7 at the piscis. Chandlyn has said it's all reserved so I hope it's all good. I'm so happy to have this forum, it's been so helpful!

In regards to getting married in Canada before hand, I mentioned this to the WC and if it was possible to "sign papers" and have the whole real ceremony, she told me that this would not be a problem

I think there are quite a few of us in the same position as yours. I plan to try and negotiate with the WC because that is one of the highest vendor fees around! I'll be sure to let everyone know if I make any progress

What I tell my clients is I'm responsible for the travel aspect of the wedding and handling any question your friends and family might have aswell as coordinating any special needs/ requests with the hotel or airline. When it comes to the wedding planning at the resort, that is best handled directly with the resort wedding coordinator. If you have a quote that your are happy with I'd say lock it in Hope I've helped!

Jenn83: I've reserved a 4pm ceremony time at the gazebo, I figure it won't be as hot for everyone that time. I havent decided on a wedding package yet since Chandlyn doesn't have the 2014 prices out yet. For our reception we are doing it outdoors at the piscis. I've just booked rashel edwards for hair/make up.She's been excellent to communicate with, responds right away. That's about all I've solidly decided on so far, what are your plans?? Also I am a travel agent and generally when it comes to lower price adjustments, it is up to the client to keep an eye on the price. I highly recommend finding a package with the price drop guarantee, that way you can give your guests piece if mind when booking that they are getting the best price. Shop around with different companies (air transat, sunquest, air Canada, etc...) each one has different perks to benefit the bride and groom. Happy planning!

Hello welcome to the site and congratulations! I am set to be married may 19 2014 at the BP. I would suggest asking your travel agent if there is an early booking bonus associated with the pricing and/or is there a best price guarantee. Some companies offer these incentives in order to get you to book early (the best price guarantee usually allows a one time price adjustment if the price drops) I'm not booked for January but 1800 seems to be definitely on the high end, however my opinion is based on package prices out of Toronto. Your pictures are amazing!! You look beautiful! I can't wait to see more of the piscis, my FI and I were so greatful for the ones you already posted as we've been searching for pictures to get an idea of the set up. I'm glad you had a wonderful wedding!

Hello Ladies, Has anyone had success getting the vedor fee lowered or dropped by the bahia? I find 800$ really high compared to other resorts that friends have gotten married at.

What a great choice I absolutely love that resort! How many people are you expecting? Perhaps you can block some rooms at the resort?

I feel so behind everyone! I have secured my wedding date and location, may 19,2014 at the grand bahia principe jamaica I'm at a loss for when I should send out my std's and invitations. Prices for our group won't be out until may :s any tips on a good time to send each out?

Thanks Congratulations to you aswell! I've been emailing back and forth with Chandlyn however I've now not heard back from here since the end of November. I wish she'd just give me a month that I can confirm my date. I am a travel agent so I'm doing most of the arrangement however I'm having a friend/coworker handle the actually money and booking of guests, figure I have enough to do with planning lol I see you are hoping to have your reception at the Piscis, hopefully you can give some advice in the future as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of pictures or info for a reception there
