  1. Where did you get your party dress? I absolutely love it but it's the wrong size
  2. Have you thought about real touch flowers? I'm not sure about succulents but that's what I did! I made them ahead of time and will bring them on my carry-on. Much more affordable and no one will be able to tell they're not real - they're a very high quality faux-flower. Check out afloral.com and their real touch section!
  3. I purchased ours from Mens Warehouse. They are a light khaki linen. I just did the white shirt, vest and matching pants. I may or may not end up getting my fi the matching jacket. And if you get David's Bridal Catalogues they usually have 50% off coupons in the back!
  4. Sometimes theknot.com has them for a couple of bucks each! Sign up for their emails, I receive them all the time!
  5. I think I'm just going to send my guests to one of the bars at the resort I won't mention it's not private!! Lol. I like the non-traditional approach too!
  6. My resort has wifi but you have to pay for it and it's really spotty. I have no problem with guests taking photos of themselves and posting photos, but please don't take and post pictures of me and my husband, that's what we're paying our photographer for, and I will definitely share all photos on Facebook once they're finished. My photographer does one wedding a week so she is pretty quick on turn around with photos.
  7. I've seen it to the extent in people making a business card or putting it in their programs. I don't think I would go that far - but just spread the word, I have about 50 guests and maybe just mention that we wish our photos remain private while in Jamaica the day before or something. However, I think we're at an advantage that a lot of people probably won't have global cell phone plans to share anyways!
  8. I've heard of people doing it because they want to control what pictures are being shared. Like you don't want a crappy photo of you and your husband to hit the net before the ceremony is even over. Maybe not wait until professional photos get back, but more so control what is shared on your day. It's more or less that you're paying all this money to have a professional photographer and you have your friends and family taking not so flattering untouched photos of you on your day. I'm still not really sure about it. Just a thought
  9. great article! I was thinking of asking my guests not to post anything on FB until our professional photos come back. What do you all think about that?
  10. I asked that everyone RSVP's on the cards - did not give the option of my website - I wanted it all in one place. That being said, I pre-stamped them all (used post cards - less postage!!) and my RSVP date is July 1st and still missing about half. So frustrating. I thought by supplying the stamps and making it simple they would RSVP sooner. We will see when it gets a bit closer to July 1st! Good luck!
  11. Corona or a good ole' margarita! YUMMM! This thread has made me thirsty!!
  12. Thank you! they definitely needed a pop of color and the green is very tropical, I love how they turned out
  13. These are my DIY bouquets! They look so real I cannot even believe they're not - my aunt thought they were real and tried to put them in water when I showed them to her! I ordered all of my supplies off of afloral.com and purchased my floral tape from Michael's. Originally I only had the white calla lilies but really wanted to add some color so I added the green cymbidium orchids and they look great, my bridesmaids dresses are coral. The supplies I used: 14" real touch calla lily in white (one dozen per bouquet) 12" real touch Cymbidium Orchids (one bunch in each bouquet)- http://www.afloral.com/Silk-Flowers-Artificial-Flowers-Fake-Flowers/Floramatique-Real-Touch-Silk-Flowers/12-Cymbidium-Orchid-Wedding-Bouquet-in-Fuchsia-Pink_2 11" bling strands (4 in each bouquet) http://www.afloral.com/Floral-Supplies/Crystals-and-Jewels/10mm-Faceted-Bouquet-Beads-in-Silver-12-Pieces **Make sure you Google coupons if you order off of afloral.com - I was able to find coupons each time I ordered I haven't wrapped my bouquets yet but I will post pictures once they are finished! I'm really pleased the way they turned out, they look so real!! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!!!
  14. I ordered three or four books off of Amazon on destination weddings! They we'rent very! I would recommend them for sure - good place to start I beleive they all had checklists in them - the books are a few years old, but most of the information is still relevant! You could also try finding these books at half.com, they're usually used but not very expensive! Hope this helps!
