I also made a Google Drive document that I can access anywhere it has been a LIFE SAVER!!! I have tabs for EVERYTHING, pictures, schedules, notes, budget, To Do, Guest List, etc., etc., etc.
Also ladies, just a heads up, I did email Cecilia about table runners and she said that the tables were 1.8 meters in diameter which seems odd & to my knowledge is not a standard table size. So I am still trying to figure out what length our table runners should be if anyone has any advice it is much appreciated!! :-)
Oh Lorcas! I'm sorry!! If I were you would go with two options. A) talk to Cecilia and ask why she didn't schedule it when you originally talked about it and see if there are any options from her side. What was your second option, I feel like I remember thinking the Barracuda lawn or even the World Cafe Terrace might be nice. I saw a wedding that I believe was on the wedding cafe terrace and it looked AWESOME!! On another note, I might ask if the Gazebo is booked what time that wedding is. Hang in there!! I promise I seem to be experiencing the closer your wedding gets the more responsive she is now, but I know the frustration when you want to get it all signed and set. Another side note, I seem to get better and faster responses when I only address one thing at a time. Your day will be fabulous no matter what happens!! :-)
Cheers indeed!! I have a very large family so currently I have 33 confirmed guests, but I'm not anticipating too many more. I found cups on sale a few months ago and bough 50 of those, looks like people who can't make it may be getting a cup too I like your idea about just making what we think and then if need be my brothers and sisters can absolutely give theirs to other guests. I think I'll start looking for stuff for 50 guests and I think there is no way I'll ever have that and then I can add to bags or like I said give to those that won't be able to make it (one of my best friends found out she is pregnant and she is due a month after the wedding so no travel for her ).
Congrats!! It's such a fun feeling to know that you have them!!! I have been trying to break mine in as much as I can around the house before the big day!
Did any previous brides make table runners? If so can you tell me how long they were or can you tell me how large the tables are? From the pictures that I can see it looks like they sat 8 people which I'm guessing is 60 inches around, but I was hoping someone might be able to confirm. Thank you!!
Thanks Jennifer8913 and agm04! That is what I was thinking one bag per room. I'm just going to do gift bags too, not beach bags. Unfortunately, beach bags just aren't in the budget. My younger siblings are going to deliver the bags, so I have been trying to figure out a way to make the bags ahead of time and have them distributed the the correct people. Maybe names on the tags on the bags, I'm not sure. Definitely do not want it to take up too much time. :-)
I'm hoping to be there soon! I have been working on getting invitations out and CANNOT wait to mail them and be finished!!! Today I'm going to mail a test set up to see how it fairs through the mail and what it's going to cost! Wish me luck!
Hi Ladies, I just thought I'd add my thoughts about DJ stuff. I priced out DJ's and was amazed at how expensive they are! We are going to bring a Jambox type device that you can attach a microphone to (my stepfather and brother both DJ so they have all sorts of random equipment). Then I will just have ready playlists on my ipod. We are going to have the speakers and microphone through the resort for the ceremony, but we will just go with our own for the reception. When I mentioned it to Cecilia she seemed very understanding and said that she would have a table at eh reception for our set up.
Did everyone do one bag for a couple or one bag for each person? I am debating, I think it might be easier just to do one per couple, but then do you have singles and couples bags? How does that work? Just thinking through it. :-) Thanks!
I've been growing my hair out since before we got engaged. I will wear my hair down for my bridal portraits and then I will cut some of the length before the wedding and then wear it up at our wedding.
