  1. There is the beach palapas for the Tulum, which is the beach behind the tulum gazebo. I didn't really like it myself.
  2. I've heard that there are chances that you could have that arranged if no other brides are getting married at the location you choose, but it's not always guaranteed. Generally, the WC for your section will contact you and give you the ceremony locations of your section only. I'm getting married in Nov at the Tulum gazebo... when Jazmin offered me the choices... she only provided those of the Tulum section. You may have to bring it up to them, and see what they say.
  3. LOL I would be so upset if there's a random fat man in speedo in my wedding photos. It would just bug me for a really long time... especially if the photo would be perfect EXCEPT for him. Trisha, any other suggestions on locations on the resort to take wedding day photos with either the wedding party or just the bride/groom? I know the Hacienda and the hammocks in Coba (I believe). Any where else you could think of? I want to make a list of places, so I can decide whether or not I should and can rent a buggy to go around the resort.
  4. I haven't been to the resort, but I've been looking at pictures of the resort on TripAdvisor for photos with the wedding party and the FI, and I absolutely LOVE the Hacienda. From photos, there's little shops there and the yellow building as a backdrop looks amazing too! Check it out. My friend who got married in Playa del Carmen also told me about 5th Avenue with little boardwalk shops kind of feel, which I thought would be nice too for what you're looking for.
  5. Trisha, we know you always try your best to get us answers when you go photograph other brides' weddings, so we can't blame you. Your priority ARE the pictures, and if they rock, then we're all cool! Hopefully, another past bride can help.
  6. You'll be great! Mothers know best.. and you're already one! All the BDW brides here know that you'll look AMAZING no matter what... no worries!
  7. Hmm... I'm still free. How many of us were there? Can we try this weekend?
  8. Oh gosh, I don't even know how you can contain your excitement... the baby and the wedding! This is going to be an interesting period for you!! I was hoping to get some insight on the symbollic ceremony order as well. I was on the other GBP thread, and it mentioned a sermon. I just wanted to know if this sermon was really religious and preachy, which I want to avoid. Thanks!
  9. Congrats on finding your dress! Super exciting! I was thinking of just finding pictures and sending to Jazmin. I only used the resort catalogue as a reference for the kind of flowers they offered. I just wanted to make sure that I find pictures of bouquets online that do not have flowers that would cost me extra.
  10. Really? I thought they would be smart and get out of the way, but I guess for them, they don't care how your pictures look anymore since you didn't hire them. I will have to remember to tell them that I do not require their services when I get there.
  11. Alyssajean22, I might see you at the resort that week. I'm getting married on Nov 12, 2013.
  12. I was wondering if anyone knows how much flower arrangements like those hanging up on the gazebo front pillars would cost? I saw this picture and fell in love with the overall look.
  13. It's good to take a look thru the flowers catelogue from the WC before arriving at the resort. That way, you have an idea of what they actually offer, and if the flowers you want are not in the catelogue, you can do the research and arrangements with outside vendors. However, seeing that you mentioned wanting a stress free wedding, I'm sure you can find something in the catelogue and make it work to avoid the hassle of finding an outside vendor.
  14. You should check the testimonials from some of the past brides on the below thread. Go to the Spa posts, and you'll find them there. There's actually a lot of other useful info on that thread as well to help with other aspects of your wedding. Check it out! OFFICIAL Gran Bahia Principe Riviera Maya
  15. I know day passes per person is $90USD, and Trio will generally have someone for hair and someone for make-up, so assuming you have to pay... then it will $180USD which is not included in the prices from Trio. However, many brides on BDW have mentioned that the resort will allow you not pay the day passes if the make-up/hair stylist do not leave the room to use any of the services (ie. food and bar).
  16. I booked Styling Trio for my wedding in Nov 2013. Adrian has been amazing so far with communcation, and I love that they do airbrush for the make-up, which I feel is perfect for the weather in Mexico.
