Has anyone been married here yet? I am really trying to make a decision as to what resort I should get married at! I am looking at Melia Las Dunas, but I know this resort is beautiful as I know a few people who have been here, but I have no idea what the wedding ceremony locations look like or the reception sites. Does anyone have any of this info? Thanks!

Hey I think for February that is a good price... I'd check with Sunwing they seem to have a bit cheaper prices from my experience. If you go on facebook and in the search type Melia Las Dunas Brides there is a whole fb page dedicated to it with tons of photos and information... a lot of french canadians get married though so it helps if you speak french, but there is still a lot of english info as well. Also on the melia website you can find info on the prices and extras that you might want... I think to decorate the ceremony site it costs $100-200 and you can get little extras as well that are all listed. Hope that helps! I am still trying to decide btw this resort and Laguna Azul in Varadero.

Thanks!!! I am on it and have found tons of info! Its great! Now I have just been looking at the Melia Las Dunas which I have heard is amazing for weddings, but I am concerned its too out of the way... and my FI is not very helpful in picking a place.... he basically says he wants it in Cuba and thats about as much input he gives me. Anyway I am still leaning towards Varadero just because its more conveniently located and close to more action for people.

Hello Kay! I am not confirmed yet, but am fairly certain this is where I am going to get married in May 2014! I have been debating between ILA and the Playa Pesquero, Holguin (which I have been too) but am thinking Varadero is a better location as there is more to do for our guests! The resort looks so beautiful! Have you been there before?

Hello Everyone, I have been on this site for a few weeks, just seeing how everything works! I am planning my wedding for May 2014 in Cuba. We haven't settled on a specific resort yet. I am debating between Playa Pesquero and Iberostar Laguna Azul. I am leaning towards ILA because it is a newer resort and I have never been there before! If anyone has any advice about planning a destination wedding, I'd love to hear it!

Hello everyone! I am new to this wedding planning thing! And I am trying to decide between two resorts in Cuba. The Playa Pesquero in Holguin or the Iberostar Laguna Azul. Has anyone been to both of these resorts who could tell me which one they preferred? I have been to the Playa Pesquero and know its a lovely resort. The food was good, the beach was beautiful and the staff were great. I am torn though as the Laguna Azul looks so beautiful as well! Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, I am new to the wedding planning business and having a hard time deciding on a colour scheme. I love all of the bright colours, fushia, coral, turquoise and purple. So I am having a really hard time narrowing it down! I really want to use them all. So my thoughts are go with light turquoise bridesmaid dresses and a darker turquiose for my FI's tie which would match the chair sashes. And then go bright colours like hte pink, coral, and purple flowers? Something of this sort. What do you guys think?
