Dreams Palm Beach Or Now Larimar
csho replied to AandG's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
I haven't been to either, but Dreams Palm Beach was on the top of my DR list!! If it hadn't been out of our budget that's where I would have gone! A friend of mine got married at Now Larimar and she said it was beautiful but the food wasn't the greatest but this was also a few years ago. -
Using A Flower Bouquet Or Fan?
csho replied to cubanaboliviana's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I love the fan! You could always just get a small toss bouquet and not even have to use it during your ceremony as the fan is very beautiful! -
Chair Sashes - Organza Or Satin?
csho replied to Rainmaker's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I think it more depends on what type of look you are going for. The organza sashes will less of a saturated colour whereas the satin with give a good bright colour. I went with organza and sometimes I think perhaps I should have gone with satin because it will be brighter. However, my dress is organza and I think it will go with the overall beachy feel of the wedding better. I don't think you need to match your dress, I think its whatever you like more! -
Happy Wedding Day Tina!!! Hope you have the most amazing day!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you return!!!!

Hidden Corset
csho replied to kmk2016's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My wedding dress has one of those inner corsets. Its awesome. Makes me look super slim through the waist. Mine is zipper with buttons on the back. I personally don't really love the look of the corset back, so this was the perfect option for me as I was able to have my button back, but also be able to cinch in my waist. -
Ohh so exciting!

@@kcole123 Yes it is coming up soo soon! We leave in 3 weeks! I cannot wait! The year flew by but the last two weeks have been dragging by a bit! But my sister gets here with my niece next week and then we are spending Easter with them at my parents house and then it will only be like a week and a half so I know that it really is going to fly by!

I never thought of it like that either, but a family friend who is a nurse said the same thing to me not too long ago. I suppose maybe it is worth waiting!

I agree with you, I like the shear but if your napkins and table runners are sating, the ones you made will go so much better! -
Just found this thread and thought I'd chime in since our wedding is coming up soo soon! We know we want children, but aren't 100% sure yet as of when. I have applied to go back to school which would mean putting it off for another 3-4 years and we have the time we're both 28), but now that we are getting closer to being married, the more I want to start our family sooner rather then later. 4 years is not that long, but its long enough that I am not sure I can wait another 4 before children. I also feel like then I'd have to have two much closer together then I'd like. So I am thinking that perhaps I won't go back to school and go on a big trip next year and then start TTC. That's kind of what our plans always were, but then I decided I want t o go back to school but I think it was because I just wasn't enjoying my job 100% at that time. I have gotten an interview for school so I'll see how it goes cause I still may not get in anyway and then once I find out, see how I feel. @@jackshayne0123 my friend definitely was trying to control when she got pregnant. She is a PhD student and get a 4 month maternity leave while shes a student, so she was trying to work it around her program so that she would be pregnant in her last 4 months so she'd be pretty much done her thesis and wouldn't have too much to do afterwards. They pretty much had 4 months to be able to get pregnant, I think it was a bit stressful for her, but the last month she just kinda gave up hope that it would happen and then lo and behold she was pregnant! Now shes due next week! Shes the first of my friends to get pregnant and now I am starting to get that baby fever. My sister and sister in law both have 1.5-2 year olds and I thought originally they would make me want to have a baby but it wasn't until now that I think we are really close to being ready.

Sorry this isn't a great photo but here is my head table (sweet heart) table décor! The two vases on the ends will also have a sand in them... I just didn't have enough at home to fill all the vases.

@@Kyliewylie I got some of them from Michaels but the majority of mine came from Homesense/Winners. My colours are coral, white and taupe, so they had some beautiful coral flowers so I bought them all up! My centerpieces are shown at the beginning of this thread.
