  1. Oh thats too bad Jamdrea! But I can understand your frustration... ILA was one of my top resorts but we decided to go with the Playa Pesquero. One of the reasons being the wedding co-ordinator gets back to you very quickly once you have booked the wedding. I think she took about 1.5 weeks for the first time, but once I booked I hear from her usually by end of day, if not defintely next day. I don't want the added stress of not being able to hear from the co-ordinator. Although I do know this is a common problem with most places. Have you thought about another resort yet?
  2. Love the websites girls!! Very nice! I love seeing others websites so when I set mine up I'll have an idea of the important information to add!
  3. We haven`t made them yet... currently working on the design and finalizing plans! I have purchased the paper for the tri fold pockets since it was on clearance on paper-garden.ca. But still need to get the paper for the tickets and the envelopes etc. The paper I got for the pockets are coral and I love it so much! I bought the text weight paper rather then the cardstock so I can print it myself!
  4. Yeah the dress looks awesome on... I`ll try and post a picture tomorrow of me in it at the wedding if you want! And they weren`t very expensive... I think I paid like $126 or something like that... it was definintely under $150 and I didn't need any alterations since it had the tie up back!
  5. http://www.alfredangelobridal.ca/collections/productdisplay.aspx?productID=01cb235d-9d96-41f9-8bae-0305d9b5c928&categoryID=053f22f3-72d9-4a6d-af34-392c45fe8c96&pg=2&colorId1= hey Kay, thats the link... but I just realized they satin and not chiffon... so I don't know if thats something you'd want... but I loved my dress and I wore it for a summer wedding and it has the lace up back!
  6. Kay these are great!!! Very cute! I like that you added the email address on there! What a good idea! I am making my boarding pass invites and then making a luggage ticket for the rsvp card! But these are super cute!
  7. And that would be really funny to see long sleeve ankle length dresses on the beach loL!
  8. Jolene thats a good idea... the only problem is my sister absolutely hates the lace up back .... BUT I am paying for it so she may just have to deal with it lol! We'll see what we can figure out! What is the exact colour you are looking for?
  9. These are really nice! I had one very similar that I wore for my friends wedding b alfred angelo... they were a little cheaper i think like 120-150$ I don't know if you've looked at those ones or not? But they might be a little cheaper and very similar... but either way these are beautiful dresses and will no doubt look amazing!
  10. I can't believe all the bad service! I haven't shopped here, but had been thinking about ordering dresses online as there are no stores nearby, but my biggest pet peeve is bad customer service, I have worked in retail my entire life so this is something very important to me and just reading these threads makes me so mad! I would rather pay a little more for something and have good service. I definitely will not be giving them any of my money! Glad I came across this thread before I ordered online!
  11. Have you guys looked at any dresses yet? Or do you have an idea of what you are looking for? Alfred Angelo has a really nice orange colour called Tangelo.
  12. Yeah I don't blame you! That will definitely be nice to be done! I am planning on paying for my girls dresses, its my sister and sister and in law and they both will have 1-2 year olds so I know its a little more tough for them to come for the trip, so I figure if I can pay for that it will be nice! My sister lives in Germany though so its making it tough to find companies that are here and over there otherwise there are so many shipping and custom fees involved that any savings you get buying online doesn't even make it worth it!
  13. Julie - did you buy any other coral coloured items from table linen direct? I am getting married next May and am looking for those exact sashes and napkins in the coral colour!
  14. Jackie those flowers are really nice!!! Its really making me think that I should make my own! It doesn't seem to be that hard. I am also afraid I won't be get the flowers I really want!
  15. Are you using pink and orange? Thats what I originally wanted! I had seen these real touch flowers in pink and orange and white and realyl wanted them, but ended up going with coral. I presented both colours to my hubby to be and he preferred the coral colour and I was fine with that cause I think it will look really nice against the blue of the ocean! I also went through and looked at peoples photos and found I liked the more muted colour rather then the bold pink against the ocean. I wanted fushia! I am still going to try and have some fushia in the colour scheme to brighten things up a bit. Did you already buy your bridesmaid dresseS?
  16. I absolutely love this!!! This is definitely how I picture my aisle!!!
  17. Thanks Jolene! I think thats what I am leaning towards since we will be having starfish in our theme and it seems more water related... also I feel like the green is more nature-y whereas the teal/aqua is more beachy!
  18. Ladies... I need some help deciding on colours... I definitely am using coral as my main colour but can't decide between using green or aqua as an accent colour. I keep going back and forth between the two. We plan on having a palm arch on the beach for the ceremony, so part of me wants to use the green from that, but then part of me loves coral and aqua together... do you guys think one will look better then other?
  19. Ohh what a cute dress!!! And in my colour!!! I am also looking for a cheaper dress as I am going to pay for the dresses! I might have to look into these!
  20. You could even alternate between the blue and purple on every other chair?
  21. I would say purple... but I like a look that is more uniform. Where else will you be having colour? Cause you want to make sure that the blue is somewhere!
  22. Kay you can order a sample of 6 papers... its just like a 1 by 1 chip or something but its free incl. shipping! I ordered one today to try and match the rest of the stuff I need for the boarding passes. That link will take you to the free samples. http://paper-garden.ca/products.php?cat=52
  23. Jolene thats good to know... I have printed off practice ones on regular paper and there are dotted lines where its supposed to fold but I don't find the lines are in the proper place. I was thinking of getting rid of them completely. Did you use cover stock? The paper I bought is not cover stock but I thought it might be easier to use and I had been looking at examples and someone had said they used text paper as well because really boarding passes are flimsy anyway and I decided that it might be easier to work with. But I don't know haha
  24. I used a template I found online... here is the link. There is a template for the sleeve and the boarding pass tickets. http://www.ayleebits.com/2006/06/10/diy-boarding-pass-save-the-date/ It was way easier then I thought it would be to design them! Brought out my inner creativeness! It was hiding!
