@@kay2015 I know I did too but you decided to have a destination wedding and you can't control everything so no need to worry it will all go smoothly once you get there and just be open minded and go with the flow and you will have an amazing time!!!!!

Anyone been to Tahiti, Moorea, Bora BOra recently? My husband and I are thinking of going there next year for our honeymoon/one year anniversary!

Oh @@diadiamond I can't wait until you can see the pictures! Married life is pretty much the exact same as before except I now get to call him my husband haha which is fun lol! I am kind of happy that the wedding is over, I mean I'd love to go back to the wedding day but I am happy that I am done with planning and obsessing over wedding stuff. Its so nice to just have actual free time and not think about wedding's and planning! We are going to spend a night at a golf resort next weekend if that counts as a honeymoon haha but yes we are planning on going to New Zealand, Tahiti and Bora Bora next spring, that will be our big trip and honeymoon before we start thinking about babies lol! So now I am working on saving up for and planning that trip! I am super excited I have never been to "the other side of the world"! And it has always been a dream of mine to stay in a overwater bungalow! How are your wedding plans coming along?

I have a bunch of coral beach themed stuff! I live in Canada though so it might cost more for shipping if you aren't in Canada as well.

Definitely do a first dance! They are sooo romantic and it doesn't matter if no one is watching it will make it even that much more special! And the music is up to you! I think it might be a little weird without music, I would definitely walk down to music but only if its hwat you want! We got married in Cuba and a Cuban trio were included and it was so nice to the CUban music played! Maybe you could get a steel pan band to play for you!

If you;ve already booked stop reading reviews! I got married in CUba and I had read so many reviews and they were good and then there was this slew of BAD reviews but you know what people always have something to complain about and the people who tend to go on sites often go on because they are upset. I am sure the resort will be wonderful! If there is one thing I would recommend as a past bride don't worry it was all be wonderful! Our wedding was better then we could have even imagined and I know think WHY did I spend soo much time worrying over nothing!

He just wore the vest... he does have the jacket to go with it (which he wore at our catholic ceremony here at home!). I don't think he was too bad... honestly it was a warm day, but probably the best day weather wise that we had the whole time we were there. I thought we'd be sweating buckets but where our ceremony was shaded and there was a breeze it wasn't too bad... my legs were pretty hot though haha! Mark didn't complain too much about sweating though! I love the vest look! It looks soo good to me and he did roll his sleeves up after we did our formal photos! Honestly we had the most wonderful time and I think everyone else did as well! We didn't have one complaint while we were there and everyone loved our ceremony and we had a lot of people tell us it was the best wedding they had been to! I think if he wore a jacket he would have been really really hot... but if they just wore it for the ceremony maybe it won't be so bad?

Hey! Sorry I have been slacking! Everything with the wedding here went really well! It was a very relaxing/chill day but it was perfect! The weather was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for any better weather! Cuba was amazing. Honestly was my dream wedding! It couldn't have gone any better! I have returned from my trip a few days ago and we had the most amazing time! I am sad its already all over and I cannot even believe it was over a week ago now that we were married! We have out photos but I have been waiting to put them up on facebook as we have a catholic ceremony this coming Saturday, so I was waiting until that one is over before putting up my Cuban Wedding photos, so my overall look wouldn't be ruined for people coming who hadn't been in Cuba. I will hopefully get around to adding some of the photos this week to my post though to show you girls!

You will definitely find one you love! Just be patient! I thought it would happen right away but I tried on numerous dresses and then eventually I just knew. I didn't even have my dress done up all the way and I knew it was the gown I'd be walking down the aisle in. You will get that excited / wow'd feeling! I totally didn't think I was going to. I mean all the dresses were nice, but none wow'd me until I found mine!

So the time has finally come! I have 2.5 days of work left and am heading to Cuba for our wedding on Thursday! I cannot wait!! This last week was particularly stressful as my fiancé had to go in for emergency surgery last Wednesday and we weren't sure we'd be able to go. Although the doctor wasn't thrilled with the idea he just told us to be cautious. And no swimming for my FI. Luckily for him he doesn't actually like swimming so that's no biggy lol! Anyhow he'll have to take it easy but better then not being to go at all! I am almost packed, just have a few last minute things to pack and then we head out Thursday afternoon!! I'll post with photos once I return!

I am sure things will! Its looking good, but it couldn't have happened at a worse time!! I think it was god or someone testing us out to make sure we're 100% forsure ready for marriage lol!

Do you have any other close girlfriends or any other bridal party members who could plan it for you? If not have your mom plan it. I am planning my friends bachelorette party and wedding shower even though I am not in her bridal party in conjunction with her mom because her MOH isn't able to (her MOH if awaiting a lung transplant so its quite different) but don't be afraid to ask a good friend to do it. I am sure they would be willing to help you out! And if not, like others have said plan it yourself! I don't know about others but I can be a bit anal and I would rather plan myself because then I know it will exactly what I want!

I am getting anxious and stressed to be honest! My fiancé ended up having to have surgery (it was minor) but still have an open wound and going to another country is never good! So we weren't really sure how things were going to play out and we're still kind of just hoping that hes going to heal well! So there's that and then just making sure everything is done and ready and that we don't forget anything! I can't wait til we just get there and can relax and not worry about anything! @@NJBride2014 Love BOTH your dresses! They are so beautiful!

I also have two dresses! I am planning on wearing my wedding dress to the dinner and then we're moving to the disco for a our dances and that's when I'll change into my shorter one...

I went dressing shopping by myself as well. My mom did come down once to go with me but a few occasions I went myself. I loved it. It is sooo much easier to decide what you like when you don't have other people trying to sway you one way or the other. Also the sales ladies do this for a living... they will look at your body and they should instantly know what will look good on you. They aren't out to get you or make you buy anything you don't want. I think most bridal sales consultants do their job because they love it and honestly want you to love your dress! @@kcole123 I also have bigger hips and I love love love the mermaid style on myself. I think they look better on people who actually have curves because it shows off your tiny waist! I went with a fit and flare and I love love love it! Best idea is to go out and try on some dresses because its so easy to say you love this dress or that dress online but they will look completely different on. HAd I seen my dress online beforehand I don't think I would have ever bothered to try it on but on me I loved it. I think it looks better on myself then the model on the website lol!
