  1. Wow that's beautiful!! If only I didn't have a dress and it would fit! Shouldn't have a problem selling it though! Its so beautiful and beachy!
  2. That's pretty awesome Jolene! I didn't get them for everyone... cause that would just be too costly, but decided the girls would like them and use them so it would be fun! I think we're going to get the groomsmen engraved bubba mugs for their gift. @@jolene028 how married life treating you?
  3. Thanks Jolene! It seems its gotten a bit quiet on here lately
  4. @@LissaSou haha that was kind of like my fiancé... he really didn't want to do them, he hates having his photo taken! But he finally agreed to do it... although I think it was only because I convinced him that we'd then have beautiful photos of Croatia... I am not sure it would have worked if we just did them at home... but once we were doing them he actually enjoyed himself. It was actually a really nice intimate time. It was way more fun then I even thought it would be!
  5. I agree with @@krisdaversa. They are not necessary. It just depends on whether you want them or not. If you don't plan on doing anything with them then whats the point! But you have to go with what's important for you and if by not having them taken and it allows you to spend more on your wedding photographer or videographer, then that might be a better use of your funds. I did have engagement photos, however, we did them while on a trip to Croatia. I absolutely love them and am soooooo happy we did them, but I think it was more so because they are very special for us as they also document a fantastic trip that we went on together shortly after our engagement. I do not think I would have had them done though if we were just doing them at home. We ended up creating a photobook guest book with our photos and we used one of them on our Thank You for Booking Postcards... I will hopefully eventually get a few favourites printed off and put them up around the house.
  6. @@Mandiesue I find I go through spurts... I just couldn't get myself seriously motivated until Jan hit and I realized I only 4 months to go! If I wanted to lose 25-30lbs I had to get started!!!
  7. @@DANIELLE03 Oh my! You looked soooo beautiful and soooo fit!!! That last photo is STUNNING!!! Its amazing! Congratulations!!!!! And thanks for sharing!
  8. @@kdnolan Le Chateau is a great place to check out as well!
  9. I'm using mine to tie my chair sashes like this: And am using them as décor for my centerpieces!
  10. My budget is around 12k. This is including every last thing that had to do with the wedding... I actually haven't kept that great of track, but we're definitely within the budget. Our wedding and travel accommodations and photography etc were around $6500 the rest was dress, suits, and décor etc!
  11. Hey ladies! Whats everyone been up to? I ordered tumblers for all my best girlfriends and my bridal party. I wanted to get my girlfriends a little something because if we weren't having a destination wedding they would have been in my party and to thank them for coming all the way with us! I purchased them on etsy from a Canadian vendor in Alberta and I designed them myself!
  12. I also purchased starfish from this seller!! He was so awesome to deal with! And so nice to be able to get them in Canada!
  13. I am having my bachelorette a few days before the wedding while we're in Cuba! My sister is planning it... not sure what she has planned, but I purchased a Bride Iron to to iron on to a pair of my bikini bottoms that I'll wear during the day... as I am sure there will be some beach time and then I am guessing we'll do dinner and dancing type thing... so I'll probably get a cute dress!
  14. I think one more that's just a bit shorter then the other one and then I feel like it will look more complete, that is if you're going to have round tables! Something like this: I was just looking at photos of these types of centerpieces and things that look good are mirrors under the vases, but they may not be very easy to travel with, or a place mat type thing under in your colour scheme might look good. Or even just some rose petals in your colour scheme scattered around looks really nice and romantic with a few votive candles.
  15. Awesome! I will definitely check it out! I purchased a size 12 dress... I got the sample one because it fit perfectly... I gained a bit of weight over the summer, but have just another 10 lbs so now its fitting again... I don't want it to end up too big, but I still want to lose another 20 lbs or so. So maybe I'll try this out and see how it goes!
  16. I like it! I had thought about doing centerpieces like this, but ended up doing something different because we have rectangular tables and I thought this would go better with a round table. I might just add on more shorter one to make it more complete and then you can add some other little décor around the bases.
  17. Oh no! That's too bad! I am glad everything was still amazing and you didn't let that damped your day!!! I can't wait to see some photos!
  18. Hey! Sorry I actually I already sold it!!
  19. There is a resort in Mexico that offers Catholic ceremonies in a beautiful space that is all glass and over looks the beach. I am not sure of the name of the resort but I am sure someone on here will be able to tell you. There were also a few resorts in the Dominican Republic that I looked into that also offered Catholic services - Majestic Colonial may have one of them.
