  1. Everything turned out great!! Did you bring the shells along the sides of your aisle, or did the resort provide them?
  2. Tiffany- Gabrielle Bowers of etsy's page " Lovely little pieces" - She was so great! I highly recommend her! Here's the link: http://www.etsy.com/shop/gabriellemay24
  3. NColon- my photographer is a friend who is staying at the resort and we don't have to pay a vendor fee- maybe because we aren't renting equipment for it?
  4. If it is on the weekend (thurs through Sunday) no matter what time you do it I am pretty sure they charge the fee. For the minister- if you tell them it's your aunt and she is staying on the resort there shouldn't be a fee! Good luck!!
  5. Tamcalvano- one more thing- we are helping my fiancée's parents with the travel costs and just aren't telling anyone.
  6. Tamcalvano- one more thing- we are helping my fiancée's parents with the travel costs and just aren't telling anyone.
  7. MSPOKRAN thanks for posting a review! I'm about to go read it! Tamcalvano- congrats! I just chose not to go with the resorts photographers bc I didn't care for the pictures that I had seen from them- and everyone I talk to says If they would splurge on one thing that it would be a photographer. Check out www.bam-fam.com if you look into outside photographers- she takes amazing pictures and does a lot of destination weddings! Happy planning! This board is a great tool to share ideas and ask questions on- it has helped me so much!
  8. NicJ no prob! I want the best price for my guests too!!!
  9. I love the Bubba Kegs! And a lot of your other stuff! Great job!!!! Were the letters hard to put on the kegs yourself?

  11. NicJ my travel agent is Dee Dee Anserson of Passage way travel- I can get you her contact info if you would like!
  12. Has anyone looked into that Wedflik or Weddit company where you get a couple video camera's from them (those flip cameras) and you give them to people to record stuff, and then send it in for editing? I was thinking that could be an option to avoid paying the vendor fees- I'm just not sure how the quality would turn out for those either... I would love to have a videographer as well- they are just so expensiiiiive! Also ladies! I just talked to my travel agent- and she told me that the Royal usually has a winter sale in june or july!!! I've been telling my guests so they can figure out how long they want to go for so when it is on sale they will be able to get rooms when they are the cheapest!!
  13. oohhh Kfarkas! I love yours! I think I want to do a passport type invite- but these are so pretty it makes me want to maybe reconsider!
  14. Gia and Safety-I have seen a lot of pictures by Del Sol and they look so pretty! I'm sure that your guys' pictures will turn out great! I was thinking about the menu too- my fiance and I are going to try to decide that this week- I'm thinking a seafood and a beef.. not sure though. Gia- we hired DJ Ivan of Doreemixx- I haven't seen a single bad review about him- or anyone else from Doreemixx - plus you don' t have to pay an outside vendor if you go with them. I don't know what to do about a videographer- I would really love to have a good one- they are just so expensive! I was considering doing that weddingflick thing where you hand out cameras to people and they can record stuff, then you send them back to the company and they edit it... I'm just not sure how the quality of that would be either.... A trio comes with my package- so I am using that during my cocktail hour!!! Safety- are they charging you a fee for sending in your own cake design?? When are you guys having your guests RSVP by? I don't know how long is too far in advanced... but I would like to be able to start putting together welcome bags and know how much to expect to pay! haha!
  15. I'm not going with the resort photographer because when I looked at their pictures I didn't really like them- I am going with my photographer friend's friend- I'm avoiding the resort fee bc she will stay a night there and she doesn't do it as her official occupation. I posted above a link for the girl that I wish I could have do my pics but she can't- you should check her out though if you are looking for a photographer!! It's www.bam-fam.com
  16. I have heard that about Marvin too!! I asked for a quote for flowers from the resort- and plan on seeing how much other places would do it for- I'm not doing anything elaborate- just having the bridesmaids carry a single flower to save money- and i will use one of my options that comes with my package.I am painting mason jars blue and bringing them down to put a couple flowers in and candles so that there is some more light around the reception at night ! Let me know if you find anything out with florists!!! We originally were going to do the gazebo (I thought it would be nice to be able to wear heels) but my fiancé really wanted the ceremony on the beach- the gazebo looks so pretty in pictures! Congrats! I have the floral information I can send to you if you want me to. I didn't find it very informative
