Hey Ladies, so quick question for those of you doing a TTD session, where did you buy your makeup? I purchased mascara and eyeliner from bobby brown but it isnt very "waterproof" . I think i will return it and try something else. I read somewhere that sephora has a good eyeliner that doesnt come off but i need mascara too. Thoughts? Also, whats everyone doing as far as bridal bouquets? I only like a few of the options they offer and our colors are purple and lime green . My wedding coordinator showed me a sample bouquet but i hated it! LOL it was like an ugly purple rose with light pink roses. I want something with bright purple flowers! I love orchids but i know this is way too expensive since they are imported.

I have a question regarding tipping. Who is everyone tipping and how much? Wedding coordinators? DJ? Staff? Outside photographer?

So what about checking all the bridal party gifts and decor or carrying it on? What is everyones thought?

Does anyone know how much a daypass is for a guest? One of my guests is staying at a different resort but will come over to now jade for the wedding day.

Charge you for what? GEEZ i dont think i have any receipts! i guess i can print out like bank statements showing what i spent? And was all your stuff packed in a carry on or checked bag?

Hey ladies! I have a few questions as im trying to finish everything up with our wedding date approaching! So first, the reception will be on the terrace, and i like round tables better then the long ones. Isela said i can have round tables on the terrace and well still have room for dancing but max guest per table is 10. My family is 11 people total so i want to keep them all together at one table. I emailed isela to ask if we can stick 11 ppl at one table or if itll be too tight. If too tight then ill end up going with the long tables. What type of place cards did everyone use or will use for the long tables? For welcome bags, past or present brides, was there any problems getting them into mexico? Should i have the bags already put together in my suit case or make them once we get to the resort? I rather have them all done but not sure if we will be asked to open everything and go through them so im really nervous about this. Also, is it best to have them in a carry on, or check the bag? I would hate to have the bag searched and have to take everything apart. Same question for bridal party gifts, I have jewelry for the girls and flasks for the guys. The jewelry will be neatly wrapped in a cute little box. I would hate to be asked to open everything up! Should i be checking the bag with the jewelry or carrying it on. HELP! We are leaving in 5 weeks exactly!!!! Emma

Hey ladies! I hope everyones planning is going well! I have quick question. I have 41 adults and 2 children, ages 10 and 6 coming to our wedding. I will be giving everyone mini tequila bottle favors that will be left on their plates. For the two girls, what should i put on their plates? Also, for the ladies who have or are using the terrace for their reception, since its one long table, how are you going to assign the seating? With different tables its obviously easier to just have something that says the guest name and table number but with one long table im not sure how to assign seating. Thanks!! Emma

Do you have a contact number for an outside vendor that offers those? Ok ladies, so im working on my planning form that needs to be sent in really soon! I thought the webinar was pretty good. I wanted to hire the fire dancers as a way to end our reception and i thought it was pretty cool. i saw them at someones wedding when i visited jade last may but i dont want to pay for them if my guests might already see them one evening .. Does anyone know of some other type of fun way we could end the night? With some sort of performance? I know they offer cigar rolling and such but that is more for cocktail hour i think. I want something as a surprise to end the night! Also, What type of other questions do you have for isela?

hey ladies so did a lot of you ladies do the webinar? I did and i was the one asking all about the bonfire and fire dancers lol i still dont understand since isela kept saying different things! In her presentation it said bonfires, then when i asked about pricing for it she said the goverment doesnt allow them. Then she said from may-october they dont allow activities on the on the beach after 9pm due to turtles? So i asked if i hire the fire dancers for my wedding night and my reception is on the terrace where do they perform? She said on the beach! i dont get it lol can we go on the beach with fire dancers or not! If we can then why cant we have the fire pit? Geez lol

Oh yes, we have the same thing. Every 6th room booked is a free room or you can use it as a refund. We chose to give 2 free rooms to our parents and any other free rooms we get well just take the refund!

how do you get money back from group bookings?

So we have 43 people confirmed so far! Its more then we expected, but are happy so many people want to come all the way to mexico for us! lol We're exactly 2 months until we board that plane and head to now jade! Very exciting and nervous! Just trying to get the small little things together.. I actually didnt even start the forms for dj or the resort that i need to send them so i will do that this weekend.. I have the terrace booked for now but with 43 people im not positive how this is going to work. I really dont want to be super tight with no room for dancing! Does anyone have pics of different ways the terrace is set up as far as tables? I requested this from Isela but still havent received and email back. What is everyone else up to as of now?

What do you mean by joining the dances? you used the same song for your first dance, dance with your father, and your husband and his mother?

Im getting married in about 2 months in riviera maya mexico , and our colors are purple and a bright green. im looking for anything really that would fit our colors or beachy, to bring with us for more decor. Thanks! Emma

Im wondering the same thing.. how did the timeline go? Also, is the bride and groom introduced with a party song and then goes into the first dance? Or no party song just get introduced and then go into the first dance?? I was also having trouble pick our song and im now reallyyy inlove with All of me by john legend but im not sure if its too fast to dance to?

jeninKS, i also am going to put the petals along the aisle sides! how many petals did you buy and from where? Im just worried if its windy that day the petals will fly all over the place :/ What are you doing with the star fish and shells?? How many guests will you have and where is the reception? I also will be bringing a cake topper and guest book. For my favors i am doing mini tequilla bottles that the resort offers. I want to save as much as possible but the thought of bringing sooo much still with me sounds terrible lol

Hi Ladies! So just an update, Im just under 3 months to go! WOOHOO! I contacted my travel agent to get an updated itinerary on how many guests booked and how many rooms have been booked. So far we have 17 rooms booked! 27 people plus the fiance and I is 29.im positive of another 10 people who are booking so it seems like we will have about 40 people! Im excited so many people are able to join us, but it is more then i expected! Especially since the divine package is good for 25 guests! Oh well! Im also a bit nervous because we have the terrace for our reception but now that i know well have more guests im not sure if it will be too tight! On another note, I want the reception and pergola to look as pretty and romantic as possible. my vision is loads of rose petals and flowers hanging off the aisle chairs and candles. What type of decor do future or past brides think are a good idea to bring or have brung? So far i have table runners and chair bows, rose petals, and paper lanters. Ill also be bringing some bubbles to leave on the chairs at the pergola. Any adice/tips would be great!!! Thanks Everyone! Emma

Is anyone having their reception on the terrace?? I am, and it seems like nobody else is! LOL everyone seems to go with the bamboo room or castaways.. Hoping i made the right decision Also, for brides that have done TTD, i bought a second dress that was cheap to go in the water with. It is flowy and silky which i figured would look really pretty underwater. The problem is now that im thinking of it im pretty sure its going to be see through once i get out of the water! lol Has anyone had issues with this? What are your suggestions? Also what type of shoes did you wear when you went to the cenote (if you did). Do they have fresh flowers to wear in your hair at now jade? If so, how well do they stay in??

im having a tough time deciding whether or not i want to wear a veil. What is everyones thought? I dont want it to be in my face or all over the place incase there is a lot of wind that day and I definitely want to wear a flower in my hair. Should i just do flower alone ? Is a veil and flower going to look funny togetheR??

no im sorry but i dont.. I went to now jade last may for a site visit/vacation and met with Pilar . She showed them to me at that time. Im sure if you email them and ask they can send you a pic.. very cute!
