  1. I don't think I have posted my engagement ring yet. I already have the wedding band to go with it- I just haven't been able to take a decent picture of them together yet! I will post when I do have them together FI doesn't want a wedding band. He says he is going to get a tattoo on his wedding finger instead because he doesn't wear jewellery (which is fine with me), but I think I want to get him at least a plain gold band, for the ceremony at least. It's not like he is going to get the tattoo in Mexico!
  2. I read this post earlier in the day and it has stuck with me. I am so sorry this happened to you. It made me really happy to see one of your friends step up and be the officiant for you, so that you had the wedding, but what an absolutely dreadful experience. The fact that she hasn't gotten back to you at all since returning is very unprofessional. Thank you for warning all of us future brides. Despite the fact that your wedding wasn't all you had hoped it would be, I am certain it was beautiful and that you will still carry these wonderful memories with you for a lifetime!
  3. So adorable! I absolutely love the hands and paw picture! Looks like you had a lot of fun. What an adorable dog! I think my favourite picture though, is the last one, with your FI pulling you on the sled. You all look so genuinely happy
  4. Hello All, I am planning on getting married at Dreams PV in September 2014. I know there is the huge Dreams PV thread, but I am looking for a bit more updated information. I am struggling going through and trying to find recent reviews from Dreams from 2012 onwards. I know I won't be changing my mind on my resort location, I just want to hear how recent brides have gone about their planning at Dreams, what packages they have gone with, wedding coordinator communication, etc. Thanks so much!! Jenny
  5. HILARIOUS! I absolutely love these things! And a cupcake without sprinkles, while delicious, is not the best kind of cupcake haha. You had a donut??? Jealous.... however, I am certain tonight I will be eating a bunch of things I should not eat. We are going to The Keg for Valentine's Dinner..... steak, glorious steak and dessert.... yeah, that is why I am only having a yogurt and a tiny salad today. I want to say whatever works, but being sick seriously is no fun at all :S
  6. Ahhhh... makes sense now! I just wasn't sure- I went and looked in the Abbrevation post but didn't see that, and was like oh no, what is this??? I have never seen AF used... but I like it! Meh, don't worry about it. Happens to the best of us! And it can seriously be a killer from month to month. You don't even realize why your starving and eating all of the bad foods until its over/ your right in the middle of it. Then it dawns on you and you think, well, yes, I deserve to eat like this because having to go through this month to month to month seriously is the worst! Hope you enjoyed it
  7. You won't ruin it! I believe in you!! And even if there is no change or a small up- who cares! Your trying and that is what counts!! Excuse my ignorance but what is AF? Whatever it is, let your binging go wild every once in awhile! If you don't let yourself have those small pleasures, then you go right off the wagon!
  8. I have found that since I started recording what I am eating, and making a log of it, I don't go as crazy with what I am eating. While I may want too... and I did binge on an entire bag of chips last week (yikes!), I am much more able to convince myelf to not eat that slice of cheese, or eat those extra chocolate pancakes, just because they are there. I don't want to have to write it down.... and I don't want to lie and not write it down either, because then it's a completely wasted effort. For those of you who just want to keep track of what your eating, I suggest creating a food journal. I just write down what I eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and any snacks in between). Plus I write down how much water I drink in a day, with a little tick mark for one cup. That has been the hugest thing for me- realizing how much I don't drink nearly enough water! Also, stepped on the scale today and it read 181.5. I know it was wrong, and I must have shifted backwards and taken the weight off my feet or something, because that is sooo not me losing 6 lbs in 2 days. However, instead of stepping off and stepping back on again, I simply walked away because hey, why not let me be that skinny today. It was a good feeling to see that number, so it has kept me going all day, even knowing it isn't true at all haha.
  9. Ann- I think, despite all of our best intentions, we cannot wait... kidding! take the weekend, enjoy spending time with your Mom (though you will be busy!) We will all be waiting anxiety to see how we all did together!
  10. Congrats!!!!!!!!!! Have an absolutely incredible time! Looking forward to having you back with lots of pictures
  11. I found the socks and shoes amusing too... my naked toes were bare and proud- I had just gotten a pedi for my birthday two days prior Next week, probably won't be so proud Probably the only time I am ever happy to be called a loser When I go wrong, I go all the way wrong too... make for a difficult day. But hey, we're only human and food can so oh so delicious! I'm the same way... big loss right away, and then it's harder and harder to keep that same momentum going! Good for you though!!!
  12. ha, amazeballs. I love when I see people use this word. You will add to it, don't you worry! That dessert table was nothing to the goal you have for yourself You can do it!!!! I believe in you, and that this challenge will push us all to our goals/ MUCH closer than we were with the support and caring of each other than trying to do it alone! ahhhh, that word: moderation. Definitely in a love/hate relationship with that word. Hate it because it means I can't enjoy everything that I absolutely love... but love it because it means I can still have a little bit of the things I enjoy Congrats on being down 3 lbs!!!!!!!
  13. Keep thinking of the number you want to reach, and you'll see how quickly you get there! I simply wanted to drop below 190, that was my goal. Even a 189.9 would have been a huge difference for me... and I ended up going even further (despite eating crappy all weekend long), down to 187.5 4 lbs in a week is tough! But I believe in you, you can do it!
  14. Well... someone (or someones!) have been eating your healthy food. Don't sweat it.... think of it as, while you are getting yourself healthy, the rest of your family is getting healthy as well! Better yogurt and fruit than chips and sugar cereals!
