Hellooooo ladies!! I'm fairly new to this site and found this thread. We are getting married on November 30, 2013 at the Riu Ocho Rios in Ocho Rios Jamaica. As of today I have 36 guests booked (and counting...). This site has been so unbelievably supportive and informative. We will be in Jamaica from November 26 until December 3 2013! I sent my invites out as soon as I had a wedding date. My wedding is November 30, 2013, all of my invitations have been sent out. Since my guests had to book and pay their first deposit before December 10 (to get a good deal $1299/inclusive), so I went ahead and sent out the invitations for people to book. Now, before the 2nd deposit is due (Feb 10) I will send a reminder (cute letter, info on the hotel etc...) Then onto the OOT bags! LOL

So excited about this thread! I haven't read a whole lot, I mostly just skipped to the last 10 pages and they are filled with great ideas. I am totally ordering the mugs from Factory 21 on EBAY. They are gorgeous!! I ordered 2-50 packs of 2 pill tylenol from Ebay today (33.00 with shipping). I am still on the hunt for totes. I am also looking for the burlap/tan coloured totes. Might have to wait until the end of next summer, but hey, my wedding isn't until the end of next November. I'll have to check out Dollarama for all the great deals you ladies are posting. Also, we just got a dollar tree here so I am definitely going to check them out! I am starting now so the pain of spending so much doesn't come all at once. Buy things slowly. I am worried about packing it all in a suitcase. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks! If I come across any deals I will be sure to post them!

Hey! I've secured my date and actually we are leaving exactly a year from today! November 26, 2013. I live in Sudbury, Ontario and my travel agent lives in Welland, Ontario. She is with Rose City Travel and we correspond by e-mail. I told her the date I wanted and she secured 30 seats (15 rooms at double occupancy) at the Riu Ocho Rios for $1299.00 Tax in per person. I thought it was a super deal so I jumped on that. To date, we have 30 people attending our wedding. My travel agent is FANTASTIC! Pm me if you would like more information on her. We are so excited!!

We are getting married at the RIU Ocho Rios in Ocho Rios, Jamaica! Our wedding date is November 30 @ 4pm. I just confirmed yesterday!!! So excited!! Where to start...where to start...LOL

I don't get it! I've secured my date and price with the Riu Ocho Rios in Jamaica, my travel agent told me I have until December 10 (approx. a month) to fill 30 seats... I am not getting married until November 30, 2013, so approximately a year from now. A month is not a lot of time to get invites sent and leave people enough time to put down a deposit. What if I have people confirming after the December 10 th deadline?

I am also thinking about going with the free package and just adding what I want. I'm very confused about the DJ/renting out the disco/ reception etc... so much to think about.
