If you go to the do's and don'ts section, there is some really good advice on there! I read from quite a few brides that although they tell you that you probably won't get a table together, you most likely will. It's more of a ploy to get you to do the reception. If you have a concierge or butler room the chances are extremely high that you'll be just fine getting reservations as long as you request them the day you arrive! When you think about it, food and drinks are free anyway. . . but I'm sure the reception is more intimate and personal so it might be a good expense for you. Did you see the post that gave all the information on the receptions? It didn't let me post right away, and was being "moderated" so that should show up soon hopefully! That'll give you a really good idea!

I am getting married on a Sandals property and was also concerned about photography. I looked to see what the pictures of those who had used Sandals photog's turned out and I was not very impressed at all. Very "posey", little if any candid moments, and the editing was not at all the amazing high definition quality you would get from a good professional photographer. Every single picture I saw no matter what Sandals/Beaches location had pretty much the same wedding photo's. I decided to fly my brother in and have him video the ceremony and take the pics w/his hidef camera. The total cost for us to fly him in and have him stay at a dif resort, since he's single and can't stay at Sandals, is going to run us roughly $1355 plus the Sandals full day pass for him to attend our wedding. Still under $15OO! That is less expensive than the package we were going to get from Sandals and I'll have thousands of photos to choose from, plus we'll do a sunset shoot! If you know somebody who can take professional pictures, and would do so just for the adventure of a free trip, I would recommend flying them in! I would post a link to the resort photo's but I really don't want to offend anybody by putting their photo's under scrutiny.

I am wondering what the actual wedding ceremony for Sandals entails?! Can I bring our own version of what we would like them to say, or do they go strictly by a generic script? I would love to hear from any bride who has been married at a Sandals/Beaches property to see what they thought!

Good choices!! I am getting married in Montego Bay, in March. We are doing a Sandals Royal Caribbean wedding location. .. I will definitely post reviews and let you know how it goes. So far it has been so easy to deal with their wedding coordinators, and the free wedding package is absolutely perfect for a very small, intimate wedding. The only issues with Sandals, is it is a couple's only resort and they don't allow outside photographers. I am getting around that by flying my brother down, and having him take pics with his hi def camera. He'll be staying at a nearby resort, and full day guest passes for wedding attendees are around $18O, i think, if they stay from 1Oam to 2am. If you can swing it, I think Jamaica will be a much more memorable experience.. . but since I've been to Florida many times, I think it just doesn't quite "do it" for me personally so I am biased. No matter where you go, you'll have the time of your life. Good Luck!!

Congrats!! That's coming up quickly!! Have you spoke with the wedding planner from Sandals yet? I'm only having a my MOH and BM at our ceremony, and I want it to sweet and simple so I wasn't planning on doing anything other than the Beautiful Beginnings package and the little free "reception" with wine and hors d'oeuvres that follows. I figure with only 4/5 of us, it will be easy to get a dinner reservation for afterwards and just enjoy the night!! How many people are you having? If you have ten or more rooms they give you a 1hr cocktail receptions. If you want a DJ for an hour it is $3OO and they have different rates if you want a band, ect. They get pretty pricey; the Steel Drum Band is $6OO per hour. I have seen brides on here do the Catamaran Cruise which is only $195O plus 8$ per person and includes 2hrs of entertainment, open bar and catering! I have booked my wedding at the Royal and it is all set for March 11 2013 @ 3:00pm! I would love to hear from any brides that have been married here, and find out the inside scoop on what to do/not do. I am considering doing the Traditional Wedding picture package by Sandals, but wonder if other brides have been pleasantly surprised by the photographer or not so impressed. I would like pictures of our actual ceremony, and if I use an outside Jamaican photographer they will not be allowed on the property. I know that our airfare alone was $1700 round trip, so flying in somebody to do the pictures for us seems like it would get extremely expensive (air+resort+pictures!!) I am interested in hearing options- from either brides who have been or brides-to-be! I look forward to hearing from you!!

I am also getting married at the Royal Caribbean Sandals, and am trying to find out more information!! I love the wedding sites there. . . especially the gazebo's that stretch into the ocean. Are you using the photographer provided by Sandals or outside photographer at an off-property location?
