Well I would love to allow him messy nights but honestly he has it better than anyone he knows (guy-wise)...he manages a strip club!! So in my eyes he has an average guy's "bachelor party" every night of the week...needless to say I'm dreading his actual bachelor party which he seems to think will be in Vegas!!! Ummmm we don't have any groomsmen so that should mean no bachelor party riiiight?? Someone back me up here! Lol

I feel your pain y'all! We made sure the singles knew they could invite their significant others and we're only inviting family so I didn't think we'd have to deal with any of this when I started getting RSVP's through our website of people we'd never heard of (its password protected so it was only family viewing it). It turns out the FI's single cousin had decided this was spring break and instead of inviting his girlfriend had invited a bunch of guys!!! Ummmmm this is NOT ok!! I told the FI he better nip it in the bud (especially when family members hasn't even booked yet) because if he thinks for two seconds this is spring break he has another thing coming! Lucky me, I robbed the cradle and sometimes he's still a 12 year old, but I've told him that if he's drunk the entire week I'll turn and walk the other way when I get to the top of the aisle!!! Lololololol! Is that bad? I just don't get the nerve of some people! I would NEVER invite myself or book a trip to someone's Family-only wedding, especially not knowing either the bride or groom! Insane!! Lol

Would it be silly for me to attend again? Our wedding is June (as Wendy knows) but I'm curious if there's more up-to date info about what's offered (now that they've changed their packages). I know we don't qualify for the upgrade since there's no room to upgrade to (but chocolate covered strawberries wouldn't be awful! Lol) but it may be nice to just sit in and listen. Let me know. Ohhhh this thread is so helpful!! I love love love the hand ceremony! Do any of you have any ideas how we can tie in a knot tying ceremony into it? Maybe towards the end? I'm trying to find fitting wording and we'll be doing it instead of a sand ceremony. Any help would be super appreciated!

Thanks to this site I've been able to seriously cut costs! Dollar Tree will be your best friend for some items but can actually be more expensive for others! Tissues and band aids are great there ($1 for 8 packets of fun tropical colored packets of tissue)...and we got our tumblers here (50 of them) which were the same as the ones they sell at Michaels for 7.99!! I chose Amazon for all the drug packets but make sure you don't always choose the first vendor that pops up! Look at all the vendors and factor in the shipping. And for lip balm someone mentioned bulkapothecary.com and I actually cancelled my personalized lip balm order from Oriental Trading (50 of them for $40+) to switch to bulkapothecary where 50 is costing me $14 plus $3 for three sheets of labels which I'll print out myself to customize! Can't beat that! I think they offer a service of designing your labels but I didn't look into it since any penny saved is a penny I can use elsewhere! Good luck!

I know this thread is slightly old but has anyone been able to "post date" their civil ceremony so the documents have the date of the DW (and "real" wedding) on the legal documents? Is this done? FI and I want to do the legal stuff here before but I would love for the documents to say the day we're getting married in Mexico...wishful thinking I'm sure but I was curious if anyone had tried to get this done?

We still need to get our wedding rings and probably should have looked during Christmas with all the sales but we weren't thinking wedding thoughts in favor of family Christmas presents! So do you girls think that stores jack up their prices around Valentine's Day or have great sales? We're hoping for the latter but does anyone have any thoughts?

The FI and I started trying to lose weight but I'm not going to lie I'm furious at myself for not getting to the gym and really committing! Now that I'm 4 1/2 months out I'm starting to freak out! My wedding dress just came in and I'm kind of dreading picking it up because I'm the fattest I've ever been (the FI couldn't have asked me to marry him AFTER I had lost 30 pounds????!!! Now that I've gained it all back and some he chooses too! Typical! lolol) and I need to be held accountable since he can go to the gym and lose 10 pounds in one day! Soooooo not fair!! lolol! This board helped me finish mine up too this weekend! All that I have left to do is get the Chapstick from the awesome website mentioned here and purell hand wipes or little antibacterial bottles...whichever ends up being cheaper. Are you doing aloe or sunscreen? As cute as the little bottles are I'm not sure I want to spend money on all of them! We're getting there girls!
