  1. In one month we'll be saying "I do!" How did that happen??? I swear we just got engaged...
  2. I have no idea, I stole it from my sister who scrapbooks haha. Sorry! I'm sure Michael's would have stuff though. We printed everything at home or Kinko's, so that's why I needed one.
  3. So cute! We are doing Sand Dollar placecards too We got them from a great seller on Etsy. I bought this scrapbook paper cutter that was super helpful in getting everything cut evenly. They also sell the little "corner rounders" that let me really easily round the edges, just because I prefer that look. I'm only having a MOH, and we're getting her $ at the spa, which I assume she and her husband will use for a massage while we're there. She's so hard to shop for, and usually buys herself whatever she wants, so this seemed like somethin they would actually use and enjoy. I feel you about the stress. Making my "timeline to-do" list and setting deadlings has been so helpful. It was way more overwhelming to just see one giant list. When it's broken down by week, it makes it seem much more manageable. Good job with your stuff!
  4. Sure, my FI made them in microsoft publisher. Though I'm sure you could easily convert or make in word. If you PM your email I'll send, I don't think you have enough posts to open here.
  5. Even though they haven't been working together long, is he close with them? Have you met any? I think it also depends on how many other people you are inviting. For example, we are only inviting immediate family. But if your'e inviting a lot of friends and family, it might be a different story.
  6. Too funny! He would've loved a Hawks game, but tickets are so ridiculous now that everyone jumped on the wagon and they're playing well. So they're going to an AHL game, which will still be fun - and cheaper On a random side note, I got engaged in Niagara Falls. I can't say I remember seeing my strip clubs though haha.
  7. Thank you for the reassurance! Of course my FI and Mom will tell me that, but I can't trust them to be brutally honest I'd rather have someone be honest and tell me so I can fix it, then leave it look bad haha. We leave in 30 days - I can't wait. It is currently pouring in Chicago, and some 80+ degree and sun sounds amazing! Time has flown. I can't believe my bachelorette is this weekend! We're doing a BYOB painting class in Chicago, then a BYOB sushi dinner, and out Sam's is this weekend too. Thank god strip clubs skeeve him out, I won't have to worry! They're just going to a hockey game.

  9. So I was super wedding productive and crafty this weekend. I feel so much better now that all of this stuff is done. I posted a picture of my MOH bouquet (which I did add a little more ribbon going down - thanks Murmel!), but I finished mine yesterday. The one picture is a bit dark. But the broach on mine is my something old from my Grandma, so I have something of hers with me as they aren't attending. It's what her dad gave to her mom when my Grandma was born (follow that? haha). So it's super sentimental. I also finished our menus and program fans. What a load off! We leave 1 month from tomorrow I am so sick of this Chicago weather and ready for some warm! I'm a little worried it all looks "homemade" - which obviously it is, but I don't want it to come off that way haha.

  11. I am doing the same. I would suggest not only wrapping the outside, but putting stuff inside. I.e. socks, etc.
  12. I'm having similar issues with mine as well...must be something about these boys sisters!!
  13. I did the same thing. Broke out our remaining "to dos" and put them in a list with a "due by" date for each week. I assigned certain stuff to myself, certain stuff to my FI, and the other just for either. It's really helped because instead of looking at everything that needs to be done, you can just take it section by section.
  14. Thanks! My MOH is actually coming for dinner tonight, I'll see what her thoughts are. I just did it like that because that's how I remembered our flowers being for her wedding last year haha
  15. Thank you! It was a bit harder than I had anticipated haha. I was SO impressed with how nice the fake flowers were from Hobby Lobby. They even feel real, so as much as I'd love to have gotten real ones, this was so much more economical.
  16. So I've had my fake flowers sitting in our guest room for about three months, and finally decided I needed to buckle down and make my bouquets. I'm making one for my MOH and myself; this one is the one for my MOH. Mine will be mostly purple, with a few white. I want honest opinions. Do these look homemade? I'm worried eveything is going to look clearly like it was a DIY. I have no problem redoing it if it does, I'd rather do that and have it look perfect! I wasn't sure about the gray ribbon. But white just didn't look quite right with the ivory flowers/dress, and we couldn't find the perfect shade of ivory.
