My fiance and I just got engaged about two weeks ago, but want to get married in May 2013. We decided we want to have a DW in Mexico, the Canco/Riviera Maya area. The reasoning behind the DW is that we both have huge families, and since we'll be paying for the wedding ourselves, this was the most economical option. We are only going to have parents and siblings, so (including ourselves) the guest list shouldn't be more than about 25. We are definitely looking for an all-inclusive resort, preferably adult only since we'll be staying after to celebrate our honeymoon. We are both very low key, and want to keep the wedding that way. We envision just a nice, simple ceremony on the beach, and then a dinner after. No DJ, no dancing, etc. Probably just play our iPod throughout the meal. We are hoping to find a resot that has a nice package, where they handle everything, and we just have to pick out of a few options for flowers, food, etc. We don't need fancy flowers, a fancy wedding set-up, centerpieces, etc. The beautiful resort and beach should be background enough. The one thing that is REALLY important to me is pictures, since so much of our family won't be there. So many resort photographs look so cheesy, that we are probably going to hire an outside vendor to bring in. We will be doing an AHR (brunch possibly) so we want to be able to provide everyone with some beautiful pictures to look at. So I'm looking for any inisight on the following, because at this point things are a bit overwhelming! At this rate the two of us are going to elope before May even gets here 1. Suggestions for resorts that meet our criteria listed above. We' been looking into El Dorado, Secrets, Sun Palace and Iberostar, but are open to any other suggestions. The resort either needs to have a great photographer on site, or be willing to let us bring one in (we are willing to pay a fee). We want to try and find somewhere reasonably priced, so that it's not a bank-breaker for our family. I'm worried so many will have hidden fees that we don't know about, and we'll end up paying way more than we planned 2. Suggestions for photographers in the area 3. Any tips on planning without losing our mind 4. Type of ceremony? I've read that it can be quite an ordeal getting everything there...blood tests, paperwork, $$, etc. Sorry for the long post, thanks for anyone's expertise and advice!!!! Lindsey
