We were biting our tongues trying not to laugh out loud. "Momma, I killed a man..." - yeah. romantic!!!! The massages on the otherhand were absolutely amazing. We did the sky massages outside on the beach, and talk about bliss!! Maybe give them a spa credit to choose what they want? Or if they are the adventurous sort, you could buy/give them a credit to do an excursion - snorkeling, ATVs, etc. Quote: Do you remember how much the Sky massage was? My WC sent me a spa pricing list, and I didn't see it on there. There was a sunrise one....but do you think it actually has to be at sunrise?! That's so early haha. I'd been trying to find some informatio/prices on excursions, but haven't had very much luck. Jamie is just impossible to shop for! I think gifting something there would be better, as opposed to buying jewelry or something. I guess it's just a matter of deciding what that is. Whether it's dinner, a massage, excursion, etc. One of the last few things on the to-do list.
  2. Does anyone have a timeline for the reception? IE when to cut the cake, each dance, speeches, etc.?
  3. I just have my MOH, my FI just a best man. She is going to be in all eggplant. They're actually married, which is convenient. Maybe I'll just tell her to go pick it out with him when her dress comes in, I'm sure whatever she picks will be fine haha
  4. Has anyone ever bought/done the private dinner on the beach? I was thinking of giving it as a gift to my MOH, and wanted any input people had. Worth the $140 a couple? That or I was thinking of doing a massage for them, but thought they might just book one themselves. She's the only person in my bridal party, and she is so hard to shop for because if she wants something she just buys it! So I thought doing something there might be a nice surprise instead of a gift.
  5. Maybe do wedges to get the height, but have a little more stability?
  6. Another good site (I'm not sure if anyone posted yet) is tableclothsfactory.com We got our sashes for like 60 cents, and table runners for a couple bucks. We got space saver bags to make bringing them down easier.
  7. Did you have the turqouise as one of your wedding colors? Ours are eggplant and gray, so I wasn't sure about bringing in a totally different color. My FI will be in a light gray vest/dress pant, eggplant tie, and white (faintly striped) shirt. We were going to have the BM in gray pants and an eggplant shirt to match the MOH dress, but now I've been rethinking. Maybe just a lighter shade eggplant?
  8. I love this idea, I almost chose for ourselves but decided not to. Have you ever owned any? They are SO comfortable. Just an FYI, if you go this route, I recommend buying 1/2 size smaller than your usual shoe. After a few wears they stretch out and form more to your feet.
  9. Been meaning to post, finally getting around to it. Here's my engagement ring and then the set. I really love it, FI did a good job. I think it has a very vintage/art-deco feel to it. (ignore my non-manicured fingers in this one haha)
  10. Obviously the dress is stunning, but I love your bob haircut! Chopping mine back that way after the wedding
  11. I have a feeling that one is probably already booked. We're having the Presidential because it had the same type of feel as 55, and had a lot of nice lush greenery. It gave me the feeling of being very secluded. We didn't pick the white for the same reason - we wanted to be on the same level Hope that helps a little! Can't go wrong with any....you're on the beach in Mexico!
  12. We have been having THE hardest time finding his dress shirt - I swear it's harder than my dress was. All the sleeves seem to be so puffy on everything. He ended up buying one from Macy's, the brand Bar III - the link for the exact color isn't online. http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/bar-iii-dress-shirt-bold-white-stripe-shirt-with-slim-placket-cuff?ID=783821&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results
  13. I do Hot Yoga, I got my FI to come with me for a week. I think it was a way better workout than he was expecting!
  14. My WC recommended hitting the salon at 12:30 for hair and makeup, as each would take an hour. My ceremony is at 3:30. She didn't recommend starting too early, in case the heat ruins it.
  15. I just started this Sunday....I almost died! Made me feel so out of shape, but I was a good sore the next day. I even got my FI to do it with me!
  16. That's kind of how I felt too, but then Mom made me second guess. But I thought I should definitely have one for my dad...? So I didn't know if it was a both or nothing kind of a thing.
  17. The BM is just going to be in grey dress pants and an eggplant colored dress shirt. My FI is just doing a vest, not full suit. My question is, should we still get the BM a bout? My mom said anyone in the bridal party should have flowers, but I wasn't sure if it would look weird to have a bout with just a dress shirt. What are everyone's thoughts on this? My dad will be doing the same thing, just a dress shirt and pants. Thanks ladies!
  18. My dress doesn't come in until mid-March, but I can't wait so I can post here! I'm glad I'm not the only one who things the dress looks better on an actual person. I actually like my dress LESS when I see it on the model!
