If children are going, Gran Caribe is a good choice. They have two water slides & they have a kids club there, you can drop off your kids while you hang out with family. Both Royal & Gran Caribe have night life entertainment everyday, like a band or show...etc. There both good hotels. The Royal is more fancy, has a much bigger pool & nicer spa.

Cocktail cold canapes & champagne 1hr 10.00 per guest, Cocktail hot canapes & champagne 1hr 15.00 per guest & Cocktail open bar & hot canapes 20.00 per guest. Have your Wedding coordinator email you the list of all options you have & pricing. They have this list available.

I just got married on June 5th 2013. I got married in the chapel. It was pretty hot in there even though there were fans. You will be OK but if your soon to be husband has a suit on he will probably start sweating. Weather is weird out there right now. When I was there it rained a lot, locals were saying it hasn't rained like that in 10 years. My regret is that I didn't have a plan in case it rained. Make sure you have a plan. When you get married in the chapel and it happens to be raining, were are you going to take pictures? If the rain stops for a bit most photographers will take some pictures on the beach real quick. Who will be part of these pictures and who's not? Time is very limited if its raining.

I got my flowers from Maya Floral. I got my bouquet, 2 bridesmaids bouquets, 6 large centerpieces, 6 small centerpieces. Total 845.00. They charge 20.00 per bag for rose petals. See their website, it tells you which rooms have full access to the royal. The Gran Master 1 Bedroom suite & above gives you access the Royal. I had access to both hotels when I stayed. The Royal seems to have more of a mature older crowd. Gran Caribe seemed to have a younger fun crowd. Royal is a prettier hotel, the pool is way bigger. The food at the Gran Caribe was sometimes better than the food at the Royal. The restaurants at the Royal are better. You have to make reservations to most of the restaurants before you can eat at them. Gran Caribe has water slides that adults and children can go on. They are a lot of fun. Adults please be careful on the slides though, water you drop in is not that deep, you will get a bit scratched up. Unfortunately by friend must of landed wrong & busted her knee opened. She had to be taken to the hospital in the ambulance. So please be careful.

I just got back June 9th, 2013 from my wedding & decided to take these pictures for you guys. Look under image gallery, then destination wedding photos. The green flooring as been removed. This terrace is the one titled "Large terrace"
