  1. I didn't realize that you responded to my post! I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing for my reception/ dinner. I feel like I need to wait until I get a better idea of whose gonna come. Are you doing the beach or gazebo? I was so indecisive. Itried to book Phil for our photographer but he leaves the week before my wedding but I did snag Jamie dimitry and I'm really pleased with his work have you gone dress shopping yet? Today was my first time. SO exciting but I'm just so indecisive. It's so exciting
  2. I don't know what your first dress was but this one is beautiful. You have a great body and this definitely shows it off!! Absolutely gorgeous and you're glowing!
  3. Beautiful dress... You look gorgeous in it!! Wow dress shopping twice, lucky girl
  4. Ooooh I love that! It looks so pretty and elegant! Have you picked out your shoes yet? That's what I love about that style of dress....you can show off some gorgeous heels.
  5. I hope you guys win! That'd be awesome! I love when people have their dogs as ring bearers.. I have a little west highland terrier named Winston and we wanted him to be our ring bearer if we go married at home. I had a jack Russell growing up (named pokey haha). They are the best dogs. My mom has two and they're so entertaining lol.
  6. I commented on the blush one before I saw you in the ivory. You look amazing! That dress is so perfect. I love the mermaid style and the belt is the perfect touch. Congrats on finding your dress
  7. Ah I found it lol. I wanted to see it after you mentioned it. I love your dress!I it's stunning and You look so beautiful! Makes me so excited to go shopping this weekend!! I can't believe all the gorgeous dresses on here!! I could look through this forum for hours lol.
  8. I'm July 23rd at the majestic. 3pm on the beach !! I'm so excited too
  9. I know what you mean about the bridal shower. My MOH was talking about that the other day. I'm so uncomfortable with it and I hate having attention on me!! And you're right, the $$ can be used elsewhere. Our family is all over Canada so I haven't even considered an AHR yet. The first location is nice but I have to say, I LOVE the second venue. It looks like you could throw a great party there lol. That's sort of what I had in mind for our wedding reception (when we were considering having our wedding here). You can do so much with those tents...well from what I see on Pinterest hahah. And great idea about the separate invites for the AHR. I am thinking we'll be around 25 or so but it's hard to say. I don't get so wrapped up about that anymore and less people means it'll be cheaper, more manageable and it'll still be amazing because it's people that want to be there with us Did you just start planning? Have you gone dress shopping yet? I am going this weekend and I'm so excited !!!
  10. Sorry I meant to do a multi- quote but I'm new at posting lol. I responded to Kisha if you wanna check it out!!!
  11. I had purchased an HP Officejet 6700 when I started doing my DIY invites. It was on sale at Staples for $89 (50 % off) but so was the Canon Pixma 892. I couldn't decide and I liked that it says in the HP specs that it prints 105 Cardstock. But I tried printing some and I didn't like how it pulled the cardstock through the printer and bent it all up. So I was looking around this site and I saw a few threads that recommended that Canon Pixma so I exchanged it. And it's works way better for me because you can feed the cardstock through the back of the printer without it getting all bent outta shape. Oh and when I printed on metallic text paper with the HP, the ink was all smeared when the paper came out. I haven't had any troubles printing with the Canon. I hope this post helps. You can check out MissBubbles' Passport invites she did and she used the same printer. They look amazing. Or just search the printer names on here. I hope this helps.
  12. It's gorgeous! It looks amazing on you I can't wait to get a dress!!
  13. You're so lucky that people haven't been giving you grief. I had a hard time with travel agents as well as people complaining. If you don't mind me asking, who did you go with? I ended up finding an amazing one in Mississauga. She's bent over backwards for us to a great rate. And of course now I'm dealing with people wanting to book themselves or telling me I could've done better. I cannot believe how unrealistic people can be. We are going to an all inclusive, gorgeous resort for 7 days. How can you beat that? Yeah its in july so the flights are limited but regardless of going in the summer or winter, it's th Caribbean!!! Is $1700 that much to ask?! So frustrating. But you're right, every wedding gets judged. I'm just so glad I went this route. and I know that the people that join us wont regret it!
  14. I can totally relate! It's nice to know that there are other brides out there dealing with the same issues. I've come to the realization, that everyone will have an opinion about something. The most frustrating part, is when people say they are going to come and then back out. At the end of the day, you gotta do what you guys want. I stopped worrying because the only person I really care about being there, is my fiancé. As much as I would love for all our family and friends to be there, I'd be perfectly happy if it was just the two of us because I still get to marry my best friend in paradise . It's definitely not too late to send out save the dates. The wedding website is great for getting info out there and answering the repetitive questions people have. We just switched to having a destination wedding a few weeks ago. People have an idea, but I never sent out save the dates because I just finally secured a wedding date. We are working with a travel agent and as of nov 6th, our guests have 90 days to put down their deposit to take advantage of our group rate. And I love that the guests deal directly with the travel agent. So, now I'm just gonna send out my passport invites in the next week because we're on a timeline. I've also set up a website which has all the info as well. Once you get something organized with a travel agent, you'll feel so much better. This is supposed to be an exciting time for you and it's too bad that people are trying to bring you down! I hope things get better. Keep us posted!!
  15. Ive seen a few July brides but thought I'd do a roll call! I'm July 23 2013 and so excited. I'm glad I have this website because everyone else is tired of me yammering on about my wedding plans!!
