  1. Congrats and welcome back! Im happy to hear you had an amazing time. Puts me at ease to know things will go smoothly. My fiance was/is a lil skeptical about the whole DW thing too but i'm glad at the end your hubby enjoyed it just as much. I hope my FI feels the same way when all is said and done! Congrats again!!!
  2. My WC said I would have to book the assistant in the hotel too. But she mentioned that this only applied to photographer and videographer. DJ could only be from lomas. Stinks b/c I had hoped to book Doremixx, I guess their policy's changed and an outside dj is not allowed now. I know many of the girls are booking outside dj's but I just didnt even push the issue. I guess Ill just have to go with one of lomas' dj's.
  3. So I heard back from my WC and she said they would both need to be booked so thats a bummer b/c that works out more than the vendor fee for me. Lets hope the dj comes solo if no that really stinks!
  4. Yes I can. I was getting the same thing from my MIL. She had asked why did I have to do Mexico. Why not DR because that's where they are from. So you'd travel there but not to Mexico? She kept bringing up different resorts like I was going to change it or something. My FIL pretty much came to my defense, he said to her just let them be, it's their wedding let them do it where they want to do it. Very aggravating!!! Can totally relate. I'm still dealing with the comments here and there. But just hang in there just remember its your day and about celebrating your union.

  7. Does anyone know if you book the 3 nights for a photographer, and they bring an asst do you need to book them as well? B/C then that works out more than the $800 vendor fee. My photographer is bringing a 2nd photographer and I was getting ready to book the room when i thought about the assistant. I guess this is how they get you b/c 2ppl works out more than the $800 vendor fee. So then that would apply to the dj as well... Thats suxs!!! Any of the previous brides have experience with this? Please help.
  8. Karyc- I actually did the same, I have it in writing from my WC that it is ok to book dj three nights and I will not have to pay outside vendor fee. My WC is Erika.

  12. Hi ladies, I am looking into different venues for the private reception and I think I'm leaning towards zocalo terrace is that the same as alfresco. I was wondering if any past brides that used this/these location have a picture of what it looks like decorated. Trying to envision what I'd be working with but the pictures I've seen thus far haven't been much help. Please pm me and I'll give u my email as I don't have enough posts to open attachments.   14. I finally heard back from her today. Thanks ladies! I'm starting to get my planning going, the wedding isnt til November but feel like I have so much to do. On another note, I wanted to have the reception at Plaza Zavaz but its booked for my day... :-( Need to look into a new locaton... I think I am going with the palapa yoga for the cocktail party before the reception but now back to square 1 with the actual reception. I really wanted to use the lanterns but can you use those indoors?

  16. Jenna your pictures are beautiful and you looked amazing. You looked so happy on your day. I'm only in the beginning planning stages and it can sometimes seem hard to picture the finalized product. Thank you for sharing your pictures. Did you end up going with one of the photographers approved by the resort? If so, which one if you dont mind me asking?

I'm in the early stages of planning and haven't picked a location for our reception yet but i've found some great information on here. Need to look at the different options again. I was sent what seemed like a manual or something from the WC detailing all the different menus and such with pricing but when you select a private reception does that have a seperate charge on top of the per plate pricing? Does the price barydepending on which location you chose for the private reception? What are you ladies doing about photography? I'm really stressing aout a good photographer. I've seen some nice pictures but they all havppen to be outside vendors. Thanks for the info ladies and happy planning. Jess

  19. Im feling pretty overwhelmed too. Looks like we will be down there for the same time. I had actually requested 11/9/13 at 4pm but was taken so am getting married on 11/8/13 at 4pm on the beach. Good luck and happy planning.
  20. Any Azul Sensatori 2013 brides out there? I've seen alot of post but they seem like older post. Just booked and sent out the dates. Starting to do the plannings, looking for a good photographer. Anyone have experience with the photographers approved at the resort? I'm thinking about the trash the dress but not sure depends on the photohrapher. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
