It's almost time for me to leave for MEXICO...we leave at 6:55am Tuesday January 1st...getting married on January 5th....For those of you that have already been through this, any last minute advice...anything that you forgot or that you wished you'd done before hand or something you wish you would have had with you?? Anything would be helpful!! I'm beginning to pack now so I'm getting very nervous -
Allie, did you tell your wedding planner everything you were bringing ahead of time or did you wait and explain everything to the onsite coordinator?

Question girls...Did any of you pay the $250 to use the sound system @ Tucanes? Just wondering if it would be a huge difference to just bring my own ihome speaker to play my ipod with to save some money or if the sound system would make it feel more like a party.

Everything looks perfect!! Where did you get your lanterns & how many did you need to go all the way around Tucanes? Also, how did you travel with all of your decorations?

What exactly is "dorado profiteroles"? Desserts are my favorite part of the meal so I want to be sure that its something I like. Thank you for being so helpful!!

I sent Sarani a message telling her I was disappointed & she responded quickly saying that she had a prior commitment when I would need her & that James was her best photographer. She said that she could meet me at the resort on another day & do a mini trash the dress or couples session free of charge. I'm extremely happy with that compromise, I love her photos & I'm glad I will get the opportunity to work with her. No doubt James will be good, it's just that her pics were more of my style. I would love to see your pics, are they on here?

Did you actually get Sarani? I booked with them and she sent me a message saying James Torres would be my photographer and I'm disapointed because I booked her because I liked HER work...his is good but not anywhere near what drew me to hers. I don't know what to do now.

Hi Girls...I'm trying to pick a menu for our Rehearsal dinner @ El Cocotal ....those of you that have already been through this and tasted what they have to offer, what should I pick and what should I stay away from? Some of the things on the menu seem kind of strange. Also....is a destination wedding "rehearsal" the same as a traditional rehearsal? For example, do you run through the whole set up the night before so that everyone knows exactly what to do, then dinner afterwards? Just curious.

It is such a hard decision and I am running out of time, I get married January 5th 2013 and I have to finalize my plans soon. We chose the private reception with a cocktail hour before and added the DONKEY!! I'm so excited!! I love the white gazebo's but I also like the seclusion of Gazebo 55. I emailed and ask Valeria if it was too late to change it...I guess if it is I'll know my original choice was meant to be.

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific, I meant how did you stow your dress on the airplane? However, I am glad to know they will steam the dress at the resort. Thank you sooooo much for the Gazebo advice, I think I am going to change to Gazebo 55. Enjoy your time there!! How long are you staying?

AllieH...One more thing I am really curious about...I booked Beach Chapel Terrace Gazebo but after seeing that a majority of you girls picked Gazebo 55 I am contemplating a switch. If you have a chance, could you go by the beach chapel terrace gazebo and let me know what you think of the location? And pro's and cons of having the ceremony there verses Gazebo 55. I have only seen a few photos of each and I'd really like to have something else to base my decision on. I will be forever in your debt if you can do this for me. Thanks :)

AllieH...Glad you made it safely and everything went well en route!! Terribly sorry about your guests and the NY situation. Glad they are all ok. Question, were you able to stow your dress in a closet or did you have to hold it? I'm curious as to how that is going to work. I can't wait to see pictures, you must post ASAP!! What is the temperature there right now? I hope it stays gorgeous for your wedding day and everything goes as planned!!
