We had three options on our RSVP cards All aboard It's a shore thing but we are not sailing Sorry we are all tide up Hope that helped; we tried to be a bit creative

I just requested the flower upgrade (I want green Calla lilies, pink peonies and white hibiscus) I really wanted white pleumeria but they don't carry it - anyway, they said that they have asked for a quote from the florist and once I receive it (about 2 weeks) I can pay in full and the price is guaranteed. The DJ cost us 105.00 - if you really want the DJ book that right away, they only offer it tone wedding and you will have your reception in the Disco. hope that helped
-
I wasn't able to pick the ceremony location; it depends on size of wedding - the only reason I know where the reception is is because we picked the DJ and it can only be held in the Disco Carnival stated that we will know the location of the actual wedding about 3 weeks ahead of time - then I think I will send out a quick mailer to everyone attending with some other fun info about the ship.....
-
The DJ is a little over 100.00; keep in mind that they only allow one DJ per wedding day - we wanted to have the reception in the Disco so we booked the DJ right away....now we know where the reception is being held I spoke to Carnival yesterday and they stated that the photographer will come to the cabin as you are getting ready to take photos, also take some of the wedding/reception then after the non-sailing guests leave and the reception is over, they will take you around the ship for additional photos. The Carnival girl suggested that if you want specific pics (i.e. you with the entire family or you with your best friend) to write them down and have someone give them to the photographer right away so he can get all the pics you want Love having other brides to talk to

OMG - same here, I put it of forever, then I went and now I am second guessing the dress that I bought; I can't return it but I may donate it and buy another one......I'm so upset.

We are experienced cruisers (Platinum on Carnival) so if you have questions, let me know. We did a group booking, thinking it was going to be easier for our guests; it wasn't - I would recommend a vacation planner through Carnival, we have one we have used for years; if you want his number, let me know. He can make sure everyone is located near each other and connect the reservations for dinner and stuff. Personally I would do assigned dining; if you don't want to go to dinner, you don't have to but at least you know you will have the same wait staff and table each night - if you book through Carnival with a vacation planner they can also make sure that you are all at the same table or at least the same area of the dining room if you require more than one table. I have my dress and now I am second guessing it - I have turned into one of those brides

Your pictures are beautiful - we are getting married on the Breeze January 4th - although we are doing it prior to sail away, hoping some of our Florida friends will attend and not feel they have to cruise Our reception will be in the disco - we did the DJ - did you have any music, how was it? Is there anything you would have done that you didn't think of prior? Congrats on your wedding
-
We were originally booked on the Legend for our wedding and it was canceled (1/19/14) due to the ship going into dry dock; so we are now re-booked on the Breeze January 4, 2014 - our Save the Dates were already sent so we had to resend some additional information with the change.......so sometimes sending out information early is too early We are going to mail our invites in August and then will have the RSVP due by November 15th, so that we have time to remind people to send in their final payment. I love the idea of having three choices on the response card - I have to admit this is where I am struggling the most. I thought taking a cruise wedding would be less stressful; not so far
-
We are platinum Carnival cruisers; 16 and counting We have never had an issue - I agree that some maintenance of the ships maybe in order but Carnival has also responded very well to the recent challenges. We live in Florida so we hear more than we would like! We were just on the Dream in January and loved the ship I guess the worse thing that could happen is that we get a few extra days of vacation Don't worry; enjoy planning the wedding - chances are very slim that it will affect your wedding
-
Elarenee - So sorry this has been stressful, I have had a few issues with Carnival as well - however we love the cruise line and it would not be our wedding if we didn't cruise on Carnival After you book, they are a bit more informative but if you call the 800 number back and get someone else, you'll probably be happier. Good luck with whatever you decide
-
What ship are you on, date? Congrats.....
-
Kara - great way to look at it - its your day and it should be whatever you want it to be..... We are getting married on the Breeze 1-4-14

No we have not been on the Breeze but we just got off the Dream (sister ship) and we have friends who took the Breeze in the Mediterranean and loved it - they are also coming to the wedding/cruise I believe that the photos can happen after the reception and before the wedding as long as your are not worried about the groom seeing you before the wedding (I don't ind at all). I agree though, the reception is so short we are not missing a second of it I have not looked into the make-up or hair; we live in Florida (about 4.5 hours from Miami) and we are inviting the gal that does my hair; she said she would do it for me I found very cute favors to purchase on Etsy but not sure how brides have set that up or where.....any ideas
-
I love your gown - to make you feel better, it is our second wedding as well (I am in my late 40's), my original thought was that I would get a simple gown since it is our second wedding and it was on a cruise, well I tried on all of the ones that I printed (without a train, no fuss etc) and I ended up with something I never thought I would; when I tried it on I just fell in love with it!

Hello all: We are getting married on the Breeze 1-4-14 We are experienced cruisers and Platinum on Carnival so for us it was an easy decision to get married with some family and friends aboard a ship. We have booked the weeding, made a few decisions on the reception stuff, our cabins, sent save the dates but other than that I am just looking into things Hopefully we can all help each other out

They sail this morning so I will be happy to share photos - they promised to take pictures of the casino in which we were told if you order the DJ that is were the reception would be We are torn about doing OOT bags, most of the folks cruising with us are experienced cruisers so not sure what we would put in the bags that would be useful for them. we are thinking of ordering personalized napkins to kick it up a bit and for favors we are doing wine openers; we love wine so its perfect. Then trying to figure out a favor that would be kid friendly (we have some kids sailing). Are you doing a guest sign in book or anything like that? What are you thoughts for gifts that your guests will bring, we are putting on our invitations"no gifts please, bring words of wisdom" we really don't need anything. We were told the same thing about the wedding cake - we'll just bring some ribbon to add to match to our colors.

Hi - We have not picked out our invites yet - I like the site Etsy.com - they have some neat ideas...... We did purchase the open bar and purchased the DJ What planning have you done - we are sailing on the Dream in January and the ships are similar so that will be good for us to get a feel for the ship. We also have friends that are leaving on Saturday to head to the Mediterranean and sail on the Breeze - they will be taking pics of the ship for us - I'll be more than happy to share with you. I am a bit clueless as to what to do for the wedding and have not even looked for a dress
-
We are also in the beginning stages - we have decided on he Carnival Breeze out of Miami on 1-4-12. So far we have done fun save the date cards that look like boarding passes. We have our invites in thought but have time to bring them to reality We also have looked at wedding songs, flower upgrades and food selection. I have not even thought about a dress; its my least favorite part of the process; I am not a size 2 or a young bride so I worry about how I will look Have you decided on a ship or date?
-
We are getting married on the Carnival Breeze 1-4-14 and I was hoping that some of you past brides would be so wonderful and post how your wedding went, any tips or overall comments. We are experienced cruisers, which is why we decided to get married on a ship, we have already had a few issues with Carnival and want to know what to expect - my confidence in Carnival is a little broken Thanks
-
We are also getting married on the Breeze (1/4/14) after our initial cruise wedding was canceled (the Legend 1/19). We are looking forward to seeing the new ship and from some of the photos I have seen, it will be well worth the change in ship for us. We are looking into our guests staying at the Embassy Suites in Miami, its not far from the port and we have stayed here before - its clean and not too expensive. I am sure if you book a section of rooms, they would give a little bit of a discount. We have stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay before but I think its a little too high priced for some of our guests who are already paying for flights, cruise etc. I can't help you with a hair person, I live about four hours from the port and the gal who has done my hair for years is coming to the wedding and will do my hair and make-up Have you asked The Wedding Experience? I think they have a few they can recommend Best of luck to you
