So I have another question. Is anyone else using Teresa from Vacations4less as a travel agent? So far I really have a good vibe from her she responds quickly and answers all of my questions thoroughly but I can't help but think sometimes people get used for their money. So the real question is, is Vacations4less completely legit to use for traveling? Paranoia is setting in because I keep hearing stories of these destination weddings that start off great with planning and then at the last minute everything goes kaput! Thanks ladies!

Hi Ladies! I have been reading trip advisor and noticed that the reviews for the Now Jade are just okay. When I first booked they were really good and they seem to be going downhill. It seems there is a lot of construction and the food is just ehh. I am becoming really concerned since I want my family and friends to enjoy their stay. Has anyone been there recently for a visit? Hi Ladies! I am starting to get a bit concerned, I have been reading Trip Advisor and it seems every day more and more negative reviews are posted. When we booked it says all taxes and gratuities are included but a lot of guests say that the staff is always looking for tips. I don't mind tipping but I hope they aren't making you feel like you have to tip! Another thing, people are saying the food is just OK. Has anyone been there recently? I just want to make sure the resort is amazing for my guests because they are paying to see my fiance and I get married and I want them to have a good time!! Thanks!

Thank You!! I didn't think we would be in any danger but I just wanted her to read from other brides that we don't have to worry. Obviously whenever we go on ANY vacation you have to be careful but she just watches too many movies and shows. : )

Hi Ladies! I have a quick question. My Fiance and I are thinking of leaving the Now Jade the day after we get married and travel to another resort about 45 minutes away which is still in Cancun but on the strip. My fiance's mom is really worried that it isn't safe for us to travel with the hotel transportation to another resort. I think it will be fine but she swears we will be kidnapped by cartel lol. Can anyone tell me if it is safe to travel through Cancun? Thanks!!!

Hi Ladies!! Our wedding is November 1, 2013. Our save the dates have been sent out but I am wondering when Invitations should be sent out? Also, I know we need to send out menu cards along with the invitations. Any ideas on how to make these menu cards? Maybe vistaprint? Thanks!!!

Thank You Shannonmarie and belko!!! That is a really good idea about the pre RSVP. I wish I would have thought of that. So far we know of 25 definite people. We are inviting about 75. I am hoping no more than 40 as well because the prices do start adding up quickly. Will you ladies be getting the DJ?? I am torn between the DJ or just doing the IPOD. But I know my family loves to dance and I think creating a dance play list for like 3 hours would be a bit much. What do you ladies think?

Hi Jade Brides! SO I asked Deisy how much it was to extend the reception another hour and she said $15 per each...Does she mean per person?? Also, How far in advance should invitations go out? My fiance and I are getting married November 1, 2013. We are sending the save the dates out next week. I am just not sure when invitations should go out??

Oh ok. That does suck that the centerpieces are not included. Has Pilar given anyone a quote for the Divine centerpieces from the wedding guide? If I go with an outside florist what will the resort charge for the florist to come in?

Another Question, Sorry I am full of them today! Regarding the flowers. I have the Divine package. Are the premium centerpieces included in that package? If so, How many centerpieces are included?

Hi Ladies! So, I do feel like there is some inconsistency with the prices from Pilar. I see that some brides are saying they got 2 hours of DJ time included in the Divine package which is the same package I have. I asked Pilar if it was included and if I swap our the live music could I get DJ time. She said I would only get 1 hr and it will be $350 an hr after that plus $115 tax so that is basically $465 an hr for the DJ!! Has anyone received the same info???

Hi Jade Brides, I have a question. My fiance is really worrying about us going over budget and keeps asking how much the entire wedding will cost. So I want to know...what is the average cost for the entire wedding at the Now Jade?? I picked the Divine Wedding package for 25 people. As of now we will only have 25 people and won't be adding anymore. I know that we will want to get a photographer from a different vendor as well. Could anyone maybe give a "guesstimate" price? That would be very helpful? Also, are there any taxes added onto the Divine wedding package? Thanks!!!

Hi Ladies!! I was thinking of going to the get linens and fabrics for decor and was wondering if Pilar charges to put the decor up at the wedding. I know I am going to buy bows here for the chairs and she charges the $1 ironing fee but does she charge for us to bring our own linens for the tables?

I would just like to confirm that the Now Jade is an all inclusive resort?

Hello Jade Brides! NOVEMBER 2013 Bride here! I am in the process of confirming my wedding date for November 1st 2013! My fiance and I are SO excited and I cannot believe how helpful this forum is. I am speaking with Theresa the travel agent and she has given me the room rates. One of my questions is about blocking the room rate. I was told we have to block 10 rooms for $1000 and that will go towards our stay (my fiance and I). Is that correct? Also, if we don't have 10 rooms booked do we lose that $1000?

Hi Everyone! My name is Michelle and my fiance and I have just decided on a destination wedding. I have been doing A LOT of research and really love the Now Jade resort. I have never been to Mexico and think this would be a great place to get married. We are looking to have about 25 guests max. I have just put in my wedding request form for Now Jade and waiting to hear back. My question is does any one have an estimate price for what their wedding plus travel cost? Also, do you recommend booking through a travel agent or online?? I am SO confused! Help!! Thanks!!
