  1. Ok this may seem complicated but it's not too hard. Design your label in a program where you can resize the image. I used picmonkey.com. Resize the image to the size of the label (2.125" x 1.6875") picmonkey uses pixels so I didn't use the decimal point- just the numbers. This will give you the right size square. Now you will want to design your label sideways from the get go so that you don't have to rotate. If you have already created the design, resize it to 2125x16875 and with the image on your desktop right click and select rotate counterclockwise. Now when you open the template in word place your curser in the upper left corner of the first label box. At the rope select insert. Select "picture" now select your image from the desktop (or wherever you have it saved.) it should be oriented properly and fit in the box perfectly. Now copy the image and paste it in the remaining boxes. Let me know if you have any other questions. good luck!
  2. Hi! Sorry I didn't see your question in the other thread. I use vistaprint for so much! I also plan to design a pre travel brochure and some other things that are currently slipping my mind. Hope this helps... The possibilities are endless!

  9. Found them on 6pm.com What do yours look like? Oh I love those!! These are mine: That's a pic from my first dress fitting
  10. I understand, AGM04! I agree with Shannon- though. Don't let it stress you out. I, too, refuse to track people down. Our deadline is March 15 as well and I figure if they don't RSVP that means they aren't coming. If they book a room and don't send the RSVP... oh well. As annoying as that it, at least it still gives me a headcount. It seems rude, but I have planned plenty of events and hosted a lot of different parties, and for some reason that is just the way ppl are... :/ Don't take it personally. I haven't even gotten RSVP's from my MOH and bridesmaid even though I know they are OBVIOUSLY coming. Whatever... it is what it is. Just enjoy your planning! It will all come together
  11. It is common (I think) to frame your invite and have the frame set up at your reception on the card or guest book table, and after all the work I put into our invites I decided I definitely wanted to do this! I bought a cheap wooden frame at Michael's and painted it plum. Then I printed a larger version of the first page of our Passport Invites... and voila! The picture is dark (sorry), but the plum that I painted it is actually really pretty. I think this will go on the guestbook table. This was just a quick and simple way to display an invite that took me FOREVER! 12. Thank you!! What shoes did you get? I looove mine! I found them on eBay
  13. Yes I totally agree with you! Once I read the description for literally the 10th or 11th time I picked up on the same things - "holds .15oz" etc. I feel like they must get that problem a lot bc when I emailed them they never even asked questions or made any trouble of it what-so-ever. They should still write a better description, though!
  14. Since I have been sharing all of my DIY projects, I decided why not share my Passport Invites! I designed these myself with a little help from the basic template found at Aylee Bit's Passport template. I really ended up changing so much from the template, but it was a good start! I have to thank the girls on here for sharing so much of their own things. I gathered so many ideas and then compiled them into an invite that most represented me and my FI. Supplies: Brown Kraft Paper Envelopes- Michael's Map Print Out- google and my home printer RSVP Postcard- Vistaprint Paper Cutter- already owned Double Sided Tape- Target Wax (for wax seal on envelope)- Michael's Wax "W" Stamp- Michael's Return Address Stamp- Etsy Avery Labels- Staples Home Printer TIME... lots of time! This is the front of the envelope: For the Address Label I designed a design with passport stamps to get the feel of "travel" and "destination." Then I opened Word and opened the Avery Template Design Wizard. (When you buy Avery Labels, the directions on how to DL the Wizard on the package.) Then I clicked on Insert and then chose Insert Picture. I chose the design I had created with the passport stamps. Then, so that I didn't have to hand write each name and address I added a text box and typed each name and address. Then I printed them... fairly simple. This took a little trial and error and some time, but it was worth it. Here is a close up of the lower right corner of the design where you can see I personalized it with our date and location: This is the inside of the envelope as it looks with the invite in it: I searched for a map of Mexico on Google. One I found one I liked, I trimmed it down to an appropriate size, printed it, and cut it to fit inside the envelope. This took a LOT of time.... Then I used double sided tape to tape the map to the inside flap to spruce up the envelope. (I got this idea from someone on this forum but of course I do not remember who... sorry!) This is the back of the envelope: I ordered the Return Address Stamp off of Etsy and the seal is a wax seal with a "W" for my new last name! Here is a picture of the invite as it looks when it's pulled out of the envelope: You can see the actual invite and behind that is our RSVP Postcard. I printed strips of the same Mexico map and wrapped it around the Invite and the RSVP to hold them together. Here is a picture of the outside of the Invite: I didn't take pictures of the inside of the Invite, but here are screen shots of the design: Obviously these all look like different sizes, etc and like they don't line up but that's bc they are screen shots. The actual invites came out so nice! Here is the RSVP: I designed the postcard myself and then uploaded it to Vistaprint. That's it! Hope you enjoyed my Invites and RSVP's and they were helpful to you in some way. I can't even tell you how many compliments we got on them. On this forum they are popular, but as a guest- people have never seen anything like this so it was very unique and everyone really loved them. Good luck with your own invites and let me know if you have any questions! -Megan
