I feel like I have a lot of the "big things" planned, so that's a relief! Venue for rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception. Photographer, DJ, Dress, my fiance's wedding band...all done. The next biggest things I need to work on are flowers. I have been reading a lot about the "real touch" flowers and since I'm not that impressed by the flowers offered through my resort, I'm thinking of taking that route. What are you girls doing for flowers?

Not sure if this is the most updated list, but I wanted to go ahead and add our wedding June 28th! So excited for everyone!! ELaine's is tomorrow.... I can't wait to hear how it goes and see pictures!!

Thank you!! Sorry I just now saw this response. I'm new to "forums." I didn't really understand how to use it all that well as first and honestly didn't have a lot of time to do so much reading. (Still don't but it's funny how you make time when you really want to). I have been really getting more and more into all the planning and this site has been SO helpful!!! I still haven't run across the girl getting married the day after me... Maybe she'll turn up soon.

Elaine- HI! I am getting married at AS on June 28, 2013 and have been reading this forum like it's a Bible! It's seriously so helpful! I swear I have asked my WC this question, but is what you said true about the marriage not being considered legal in the US?? Do you know that for a fact? Thanks!! Megan

What is the Divine package? I'm not sure I was offered that one. I was offered the Diamond, Pearl, and Free-Sweet. We are doing the Free Sweet bc we are having a legal ceremony and by the time we paid for a Judge it made more sense to stay long enough to qualify for the Free Sweet and the judge is included in that package. I know this doesn't really answer your question. Sorry :/

We are getting married June 28, 2013 and hired Doremixx. I have heard/read nothing but AWESOME reviews and since I couldn't find any info on the Lomas DJ's I decided to book Doremixx. If you are interested in Doremixx you should contact him ASAP bc his prices are going up for 2013 after this weekend! His prices are very reasonable and even with the $800 vendor fee they are comparable to the ones that Lomas offers. Personally, unless it's totally out of your budget I wouldn't use an iPod. I think having a DJ can really make the party. He will get people up and dancing and do announcements, etc. There will be a huge difference between a DJ and an iPod in my opinion. Hope this helps!

I've just started reeeeallly getting more into planning. I just completed my Wedding Plans Notebook so that I can keep everything in one place, stay organized, and even know what to work on. I'm a little all over the place, but am currently working on flower decisions, finalizing a DJ, and decorations (for ceremony and reception mainly). How about you?

Thank you! Also- I just saw your post about the wording of the ceremony. I'm a little frustrated to see that bc I specifically asked my WC months ago if I could personalize it. This is the exact email: "Q: Is there specific things that the officiant/judge need to say or can I write the entire script for the wedding? If there are specific things they need to say can I still write the script with those things in there? A: You can write the entire script! Once you are finished with the script, email it to me and I will forward it to the hotel. Please make sure to bring copies with you of the script to the meeting with the on-site team." I am having a legal ceremony and she knew that when she answered my question. I also never heard anything about it having to be in Spanish until I read that in a book yesterday and then saw it here. Thank you for posting this. Looks like we both need to get some info cleared up with our WC's... frustrating. I'll let you know what I hear from mine.

I interested if anyone has seen posts from the girl getting married June 29. (I know there is a wedding that day but don't know if she is on BDW). I just started really getting into the detail planning of the wedding (decorations, etc) Your wedding turned out beautifully and I, too, am using purple as our color! You did such a great job with so many things and I'm so inspired by your wedding bc we are also getting married at AS. Where did you get the invites/table numbers, etc? Also, I am so confused and overwhelmed with knowing how to bring things that I make/buy myself here in the US. Did you ship your flowers and all that stuff? How does that work?
