That That does not sound crazy I know of ppl who have done that before. If people want to go they are just going to have to pay. My fiancé said that we will pay for one or two ppl but not for 30. He mentioned that the point of having a destination wedding is to have a party/ vacation with our families. I just don't understand. But I think that I am going to have to let ppl know. Should I put this info on the website and ask ppl to check.

Hi Nena, Congrats to you as well!! we have not picked a package just yet. We decided to see how many ppl respond to our save the dates (we mailed out post cards) and then we will choose. We really like the tailor made but have to also consider that we may have more than 34 ppl. we invited over 160 ppl so we are just waiting.

Hello all, My fiancé and I were at PPR in January and yes we had minor issues like everywhere you go but overall it was an amazing resort and decided to book for march of 2014. We finally came to the realization that you are in another country and things will happen. ppl are in DR time (I'm Dominican so I know) and there were small bugs but just like any where you go you will find bugs it's the carribean. the food is amazing, plenty of space, wonderful shows, everyone was friendly and welcoming. I had a blast just minor things but it will be awesome!!!! I am also from NYC and I have been having some issues w my friends and fam!!! AGAIN!!! So I mailed out my Save the date w a postcard asking ppl to let us know if they think they can make it, cannot or are not sure. ok so I have been getting alls regarding the rates. the romance office gave us rates of 246 but we got it down to 232 by our travel agent... ppl are not happy with that so I am trying to see if I negotiate w another resort and have them stay at a cheaper resort. but I don't know if I should even do that. we are looking to do the tailor made and it is 160 pp plus a day pass which I think is 30-50. is that fair? should I do this? is there a cheaper resort that you all recomend for our guests? I am going crazy

Good morning ladies! Wishing all of you well..., you are almost there and it's gonna be amazing!!!!! Update on my wedding.... We just mailed out our save the dates. We have 11 months to go. I made mine on shutterfly and also added RSVP cards for people to let us know if they are interested in attending, itf they can't or if they are not sure yet. I know it sounds weird but my father in law came up with the Idea lol Anyway I sent them out business cards made for my TA which is my friends mom!!!! And a note giving price list and information on our wedding. Super excited. But, I got a call from one of my bridesmaids saying that it is way FI expensive and that she may just be with me in spirit. I am happy to hear that now then 6 months later. It is what it is and my fiancé and I have to do what is best for us. No one is really helping us with this so if you can make it great and if not we will miss you but will still enjoy ourselves. I have a back up plan if she can't make it and will ask someone else once she books.... Anyway ladies... Have fun and enjoy, I can't wait to see all of the beautiful pictures, videos or reviews. I am so excited for you all!

Hi Natalieblev, Thanks for your post. I have Ulcerative Colitis which is similar to IBS its IBD but there is no cure. It is in the Crohns disease family. I have gained weight and am hoping to not have to use anymore meds soon. I hope to get on a diet and join a gym in the next months. I have considered getting on a gluten free diet but have not tried yet. I will try to get into a strict diet so that i can feel better about myself and fit into an awesome wedding dress.!!!

Hi ev, Yes! I totally agree. I cannot believe that planning our wedding will determine who our friends really are. I honestly can't I keep hearing that the rates are too high (246) and that ppl will stay at other resorts... I said ok fine but they will not be able to join the activities that we have planned for the week like our rehearsal and welcome party and a spa day... oh well... don't come making my life miserable bc when you got married I was a bridesmaid, planned your shower and bought your wedding dress.

Hi Gals, So I am having a total melt down. I finally found a travel agent who gave us rates 12 bucks less than what the romance office gave us. we are having our wedding during march because my fiancé is not able to get off during the summer months so our rates are 246 per night per person. our travel argent got us 232 pn pp. which is slightly better but has to be locked in by tomorrow and we have to put down 500 bucks plus pay 50 per person staying with in the next 3 weeks. did you girls have to do this. What are your thoughts? my fiancé an I are not sure that this is necessarily better even though she has included airport transfers for an additional 38 bucks and travel insurance which is optional. now I am debating wether or not we should have booked during the summer or fall. this seems a bit outrageous. please let me know your thoughts and what your travel agents worked out for you. Good Morning ladies, I am thinking of going on a diet. Last year I was on weight watchers but I got sick four months later. I have been on steroids and anti inflammatory medication. I have noticed that I continue to gain weight. Do any of you know of a diet or excercise that may help with someone with inflammatory bowl disease? Thanks ladies.

Hi Erica, I agree we decided to have a destination wedding because of less stress and less money but things seem to add up... How much is to block rooms?? Did you do this through the Miami office? As far as adding an extra hour if it's I your budget... Do it!!! But if not there is always the lounge!! By the lobby there is a red lounge where they play great music, room for dancing and drinking. I believe it goes until 2am... You can take the party there

Ev thank you!!! As I mentioned on a previous post I love this site... I have started to realize that PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS COMPLAIN!!!! I am inviting a whole bunch of people to the wedding... My mom and I continue it argue, I cry everyday and I fight with my fiancé often ,.... Things that never happened in the past are happening now... I I finally heard from 4 bridesmaids so that is good... I am waiting for the rest to respond... Who are you going to have as a MOH now??? That is totally not right!!! I hear from my mom that I should just get married at city hall since it is hard for people to make it..l she old me to invite people who live in DR already because if not it will look UGLY on my part not to do so.... It is crazy because my fiancé and I are planning to pay for this ourselves... Ugh!!! DRAMA Good luck and I hope things work out for you!!!

If not i will stay with my parents or sister...not sure yet!!! Does anyone know if travel agents charge extra or above the rate PPR gave us... Thanks ladies
