  2. Hi Ladies, Another question! For those of you who have done passport invites, where did you order them from? getting ready to order mine but am debating if i should it is worth it. they are like $5.00 each.
  3. Wow!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Amazing. I love it!!!!!! Every time i see pictures i feel more at ease... Question: Which photography package did you choose? I really love everything... I also chose the trio for my cocktail hour....would love to know about there work.... Also where did you stay? Did you rent the bridal suite? Who officiated the wedding? Was it a resort staff...(i keep reading that the staff officiates wedding) So many questions...
  4. Hi ladies, How has been your experience with the person who officiated the wedding? Do they speak Spanish and English? I heard that a resort staff officiated the wedding... is that true? for those of you who have booked pastor York how has your experience been dealing with the romance office? is there an extra charge? we are not interested in having a religious wedding but want someone who speaks both Spanish and English. It's hard not to feel stressed... Any feedback is welcome. Thanks Gals

  7. oh and if anyone has pictures of any of these things please post if possible. It would really help... Counting Down LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Hi Ladies, I have a few questions... What is the price range for centerpieces? Do any of you past brides have pictures of your centerpieces and the prices or range? Has anyone tried to waive the entrance fee for guests staying at other resorts? (asking the resort directly) Has anyone tried the LED dance floor? How did that work out? For the sit down dinners how was the set up ( my fiance and I had the food when we were down there in January and it was amazing but how did it all work out during your wedding?) For those brides who had the buffet dinner how did that work? I know it is a lot I am having another moment...if you know what i mean....it is crazy!!!! None of my guests have booked yet and we are 9 months away...I guess we have to wait until September lol....
  9. Wow Missy, This all looks amazing. Are those scarves? You did a wonderful job...wow Did you make everything yourself or did you order these from a website? I would like to use coral and aqua for my colors and would like to do a starfish theme...not sure how this will all look but i am so excited to put it all together... You did an awesome job.
  10. Thats awesome how did you get all of that stuff down there???
  11. Hi Ev thanks.... Yes we are going to see if it works with our budget after we pick a package.... No one has booked yet so I am really nervous about this... I don't know. I am actually a bit freaked out cuz ppl keep saying that they have enough time....
  12. Missy they look awesome!!! I have to start looking for stuff I have not even gone wedding dress shopping and I am 9 months away.....
  13. MissyBee, Thanks so much for the response. It is very helpful. I like the reserve because of the rooms but was upset about the kids... Thank you!!!!
  14. Hi ladies... I am continuing to get responses with people saying that they are not able to make it because it was really expensive...I contacted the romance office and they shared that the guests staying at other resorts are allowed to come in 30 min prior to the wedding and have to leave up to 30 min after the reception. The wedding pass is $35.00 and the day pass is $120.00.... I sent out information letting them know that they are responsible for paying their wedding pass if they choose to stay at other resorts...I kind of feel bad. But we cant afford the extra expense... Anyway...I have decided that if some of the bridesmaids are not able to make them I will title them the "honorary bridesmaids" meaning that they will not be there but that they will be close to my heart on the special day.... Does that sound corny??? I just don't want anyone to feel bad but I do understand that lots of people are not able to afford it and that is okay.... Regarding at home receptions...I need a cheap space in NYC to bring to my fiancé because I really want to have an at home reception since we have gotten lots of NO's and I really want to share our day with people...What do you ladies think? My fiancé says that its an added expense but I feel that we could share our wedding video and have like a nice summer party... Maybe I am just being the "want it all" bride...I don't know.... As some of you mentioned before...planning a destination wedding is just or more stressful than having a wedding back home...to much to plan, think about and its really crazy... .
  15. Wow that is really awesome!! I am so glad that you had a great time.... I read that the jelly fish was amazing...how did that work out with the whole package thing with the resort? It sounds like it was an amazing wedding/trip... Yay!!! Sorry if I bombard you with questions...I think is all of the anxiety lol Did you like Arrecife photography? (we are trying to contract with them for our wedding) Did you do the video? How was the reserve? (My fiancé does not want to stay at the reserve but the rooms look amazing...Do you hear children crying all of the time...I read on some reviews that people do not like to stay at the reserve because of all of the kids...) Was this your experience? I hope we can see some pictures... Thanks for your response and congratulations to you and your husband!!!!
  16. Hey All, Good morning! How many days are you staying before and after your stay at PPR? My fiancé and I are trying to look at our days. I thought three days before and three days after but he wants to stay longer. Is anyone staying at the reserve area or the royal service area?
  17. Hi Suzanne, Tips are included according to our love at first site visit. "If" you find that some of the staff did an amazing job for the wedding or worked hard during your stay you can add a little "something". I know that anything would be appreciated. My fiancé and I spoke about tipping and we usually tip our butler, the guys who hold our bags and our waiters during our vacation. Last time we were disappointed with the room situation so we did not tip the cleaning staff. Anyway, My fiancé and I said that we would tip the wedding planners up to anywhere from $40.00-100.00 depending on how the wedding turns out. We really do not want to add anything extra if we do not have to but definitely want to make sure they know we appreciate what they did.
  18. yay! Suzanne, How exciting.. Congrats... How long are you staying at PPR after the wedding? I can't even imagine but take all this in, breathe and enjoy every minute... I am so happy for you!!! Please let us know how it goes...
  19. How do I get in contact with pastor york! I do not want to do a religious wedding since my fiancé is Jewish and I am catholic. We want to do a symbolic wedding. What is the cost?
  20. Ll117, I met Mariella in January and she was awesome. I think that they will make weddings an amazing experience. When we got to Our love at first site visit they had an envelope with all of our meetings scheduled for the week... They are really awesome... Regarding the rehearsal dinner. I think it is stupid that you cannot book at the restaurants. It makes it much more difficult and expensive...
