EV, Thank you... yes super dramatic family...i think that every time i hit a bump in the road (their attitude towards my wedding and negative comments) it makes me want to disconnect myself from them. So that is what i am going to do. You are absolutly right it is my day... Plus i have a few people that want to take over and that is not happening. Even my shower got to be a problem and its suppose to be a SURPRISE...WHAT THE HELL??? my wedding is 8 months a way...i still have not bought a wedding dress.. cant seem to get my self into working out or weight watchers i am just numb i think...what is that? I dont know why i just cant move..but it really feels like i just dont want to do something because BOOM...there goes another comment....like my invites...(not done)... overall, i just have to keep moving and forget them. everyone had their day and i was there, i supported them throughout difficutl and happy times but i am not getting unconditional support yet and i dont think that it will happen.

Thank you! All day i have been crying because i cannot understand why he went there in the first place...i know everyone has the liberty to go whenever they want and of course it is a beautiful place but i cannot believe how people can do that to someone who is getting married... As you said it can happen any where its just interesting how things work out but anyway.. They are all haters...and you know what i have to see that i can lose a few people..the less i have to pay!!! thanks for the feedback!

Hi Ladies, Again I am going through a bit if a dilemma: so I have some family that stated that they an mint attend my wedding because of the price, time of year and stuff... Last Saturday I noticed on Instagram that my uncle was at the resort with his kids..(he said he cannot afford to go) . as a result I let it go bc again it's the summer.... yesterday during a family event I his wife approached me to tell me that my uncle had $9000 and two thousand was taken from his safe... now I don't know of it is try or not but the whole family is now a bit upset about he.. his wife said that he said that he approached management and told them about this and sai I was having my wedding there. They are trying to convince me not to get married there.... REALLY??? I am so upset because my family is a bunch of haters and he had to go there to see what it is like prior to the weddi g to talk S*** So sad I don't really know but am so confused tar now everyone is confused on attending.. Have any past brides as these issues with their guests? I am distraught!

oh okay that is good...I think i will upgrade or sit with my parents and in laws and then we will share the overhead area...lol they will just have to give me space. The computer in the royal service area are great....i used them when i was there and it was okay just to email our parents and read articles...my fiance liked them...

Hey Kelly do you know of any other airlines that do have a closet? not sure if we should upgrade our seats to get more space for our carry on bags and the dress.. Thanks for the infor.

Ev Thanks for that i am excited to read your review and look at the amazing pictures... It is an awesome place to have a wedding.. Sorry that you are stuck there but actually enjoy every second of it....Yay! 150 sounds good to me...my guests are paying 232 to stay in a deluxe garden view...ugh its killing me because i feel bad for them... But anyway our flights have been locked in at 535 from delta. Waiting for the jetblue flights to be released....

Thanks Rotha, I will definately try to get some reservations at Aqua and the other restaurant at the reserve during our stay. Yes Palazzo is one of our favorites as well....Especially for Breakfast!!!!!!!!!! Its nice to change pace when on our honey moon i hope we can get a room at the reserve for our honeymoon or an ocean view...God i hope so! ... I am counting down and i am 8 months away. Still have not gone shopping for my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses or even done my invites... Not sure this is common...Should i have all my things already. I am hoping to start the gym and weight watchers and then shop for my dress but i have not had much luck starting... How long does it take to get your wedding dress? Anyway..Thanks for the info Rotha.. To all of the other ladies with weddings coming................Congrats (Kelly i think that's you!!!!

Hi Ladies, You had access to Aqua and Mizu at the reserve through royal service? When i visited in January I had access to Palazzo which is in the main building and Gabi Beach also in the main building. I am totally confused....i think it comes with the territory...ha ha....always confused!!! Anyway, I love the reserve but again i have no idea what my Fiance is going to decide...I am wondering if i can book a room at the reserve for the day instead of the bridal suite since that is not going to work for me....I hear it is too small...

Ladies, I just wanted to thank you all for your posts and reviews. Yes they do create anxiety!!! What can i say...to hear that its not up to what we expect is freaking bananas...mostly to the gals whose weddings are coming up. Overall we are in this...money is paid, reservations made, invitations done and that is that. (Guess i am feeling less anxious, thanks to all of you). Now back to more questions. Do the girls who have already gotten married recommend staying at the reserve or royal service? I like the reserve but do not like that it is adults only... My fiance wants to stay in royal service closer to all of our friends and family but i dont know if that is the best idea....do you have an option to do both if you want?

When i went to visit during the winter it was very nice. We had minor issues with the rooms but overall we chose to have it there. I am also concerned about the reviews being that we have already picked this place.

 Hi demitrice, I'm sorry about your experience... I have a few questions: What package did you get? How many people did you have? How did you work the BBQ... Was it the night before you wedding or during your wedding? Did you have a DJ or a sound system? I am so nervous right now because of the bad reviews... How did the hotel staff treat your relatives? I think in having second thoughts.... Was It a good environment or the family? How was the vacation overall? Is it worth it to have your wedding their? Sorry I woke up with tremendous anxiety! So sorry.

Hi ladies, I am so sorry about your experiences with the resort and romance team. It is unfortunate to hear this and it sould all work out and I'm kind of anxious right now. People are paying lots of money for their rooms and the treatment. if they say 2 weddings a day they should really make it so that you are not bumping into eachother. it's freaking annoying and I'm about to call the romance office and tell them about the reviews. My fiancé said we would call one of the wedding magazine and give them an interview if they mess up... lol not sure i would do that... I just read your reviews and he is so pissed off... anyway I hope your days had their special touch and everyone had a good time. Enjoy!!!

Hi Nena!!! Congratulations on setting your date wooo whooooo!!! It is very exciting. I am currently working with Jessica myself and she is fantastic. Regaurding our save the dates I used shutterfly to make my own and then I included a postcard one in Spanish and another in English depending the language spoken. I made them myself using a picture from the resort I took when I went to visit in Jaunary. Well I made them on zazzle.com. they came out very nice and the purpose was to know if the people we attending, will not attend or are not sure at this time. I also included business cards for my travel agent along with a small paper in Spanish or English giving details to the hotel and pricing. we also have a wedding website on the knot which we had to make private. let me know of any other questions. I love these forums and how much we can help eachother out.

Sorry not buffet i meant sit down dinner. The romance office told us that we can only choose two options for dinner and do a duet so we decided to just forgo the whole sit down thing. Even though it is nicer for a wedding we are doing things different its destination and really i do not want to choose something and then regret it so whatever.

Hi Nena, No i have not decided on a package yet. Still looking at the chill out chic and the tailor made. Those are our big ones since we can no longer do buffet then aqua is out right now. This may change though. so far we have received about 50 responses we are still waiting for about 50 more. We invited 186 guests and our original guest list was at 300 people so we decided to cut our list. We are not sure if we will be having the at home reception since now this will be an added cost and really want to save for our first home. We also want to get pregnant right after the wedding. Lots of plans in mind....lets see if it all works out.

We already put 2000 down to block regular rooms at palma real. So We have 20 rooms blocked.

Hi Nena, Sorry for the question. I just wanted to know what your travel agent quoted you per person per night for their stay. The romance office quoted me 246 a night per person but my travel agent got us 232 a night per person. It is still expensive and people will be paying for a minimum of 3 nights for $696 per person and then the flights we have one for delta at 535. Basically each person is paying like $1,231.00. It is all adding up im going crazy. Just wondering. Thank you!

Hi Ladies, So I just got an email from pastor York stating thy he will no longer be able to work with us due to some issues w PPR!!! I am so pissed. Why don't they make it simple for ppl... ITs OUR WEDDING DAY for goodness sake!!!! I am so angry we wanted sitdown we can do that anymore everything is becoming an issue!!!! Ladies we will get through this!!!

Yes i also contacted Theresa at first but since my fiance and i had done the Love at First Sight i did not want to lose the money which is credited towards our wedding. Overall i hear she is great!!! Congrats ladies....
