Hi Ladies, So my formal invites are out, I have my dress and I am getting excited because it's becoming more real!!!! I am wondering if any of you have decided on your bridesmaids gifts. I was thinking of buying their dresses along with a spa treatment at the resort and spa robes.., is that too much?

I am planning to have them for my wedding in Punta Cana. I think the cost is 500 for about 7 min or a bit longer. I am hoping I can add them to my budget....

Hi ladies, Thanks for all of your feedback. My family wanted me to have that beachy goddess looking feel as well but were happy with my choice... I just felt like I did not give myself enough time and I rushed my decision..., soooooo I went to David's bridal today and tried on like 8 more dresses and I have to say I did not get that feeling I had with the dress I bought... nothing gave me that feeling! like my dress..... So ladies I went to David's bridal today to see if I found other options and now I am loving my first choice! I am loving my dress now... I hope I don't change my mind again I cannot take all of these crazy emotions! lol

Hello ladies, Happy planning to all! So I finally went dress shopping today for the first time. My wedding is in march of 2014 so I was told I did not have much time. I had this totally different idea of what I wanted to be in and I ended up getting a mermaid with lace on top and a tulle skirt. As soon as I put it on I felt like a bride and started to tear. But walked out and said that I would not commit. My family said that it looked nice but was too much and they wanted to see me in a sexy dress so the two after were Greek goddess looking dresses with lots of bling! Continued to go back to the dress that I felt like a bride in (if this is how it is suppose to feel?) and I bought it. It was 900 and I could have them remove the puffy part (tulle) under the skirt. So I got it!!!!! But now I am second guessing my self saying that I should have tried on more and I can't sleep... So I am up writing!!!! Does this usually happen? This is the picture of my dress... I will have them remove the shoulder piece so that I can snap it on or off depending how I want to look. Ladies! I went dress shopping today and I found my dress! I can't beleive it was my first try but I found something in the 900's which I had no idea I even liked. lol so I thought I wanted one thing but then found something else! oh well!!! I bought it and it should be in.... soon I'm 7 months away! What is your thought on second dresses? I found a beautiful dress that I want for the reception but I am not sure if I would use it. my mom in law and sister loved it at first but I thought it was tooo sexy for the ceremony feel and was an amazing dress for the party... please let me know your thoughts!

Hi Tara, Hope you are doing well. Welcome! I visited PPR in January and that is how my fiancé and I made the decision. it is absolutely beautiful. We did not visit PPC though but know from past brides that PPC is an older resort. Good luck in making your decision. I was stuck for a while but then I ran with it and here we are!

Hi ladies... So after work yesterday I stopped by RK Bridal in Manhattan and boy do they have beautiful dresses everything I saw was less than 2500. I will be returning on Friday with my mom to try some stuff on... I am super excited!!!

AW! thanks i have been looking at used gowns but i do not think any of those will fit me since i need about a 10-12 size.. bummer...My mom, sis and mother in law will be going to davids bridal on friday...lets see how that goes... My fiance and i finally decided on a package we are going with the tailormade it is just going to be convenient for us since we want to bbq the night before as our welcome and rehearsal dinner plus we are going to have dinner with our guests the first few nights... we just decided this weekend...LETS DO IT...why not splurge... We are waiting for more responses to come but most likely this is going to be it...we just have to do it because if not it will be january and we still will not choose something...lol...

I guess i have to get going lol. OMG well at least if i get a big dress and lose weight they can take it in...did you girls try davids bridal? Shaeshae, i am in love with that dress...but i cant find it lol.

Well I am working on loosing weight myself but haven't lost much.. Not sure if it's that I have no ambition... I have been really upset about the way my family has treated the whole wedding and many who I thought would be there are not... It's almost like I am grieving... Weird!!! I am going to start with David's bridal and move on... The dress that I want is an ines di santo dress Lissome! Not sure how much it is but I have to find it some where lol I have been depressed and joined weight watchers and the gym but have not lost much weight... I am not sticking with it which is not cool

Hi amy, Well Royal service is the adults only portion of the resort. with royals service you are able to access gabi and palazzo along with other private areas of the resort for adults only. The reserve is the family area of the resort (but many people stay there). You would have to take a golf cart from there to get to the main resort and beach areas. I love the reserve but my fiance and i are thinking of staying in the main building since we have our families and friends staying there. We are going to do royal service instead but may ask to do a few days after at the reserve.

Thanks Kelly...oh no it was not long...the more we know the better it is for us regarding what to expect. I am leaving Wednesday March 19 and my wedding will be the 22 so i am thinking of having my nails done at home and then having a mani pedi there or getting tips and then having a pedicure there. we are considering the excursion for the honey moon portion of our trip...we will see. I am really thinking on getting the chill out chic package and adding on everything else...i love taylor made but it is not the most reasonable and i was told that the packages will be changing but it hasent happened yet. Super stressed out with everything.

Welcome Amymai!!! Ladies quick question for past brides. I was thinking about the chill out chic package and doing the add ons. How does it work when you pick a package and change the colors? Do you know how much they charge to upgrade or for the switch? Liked the tailor made but thinking of doing chic and upgrading and adding on. It still would be cheaper....so finally convinced my Fiance that this may be the best option.

Thanks EV, I hear you i was thinking of switching and having Theresa work with us but unfortunately we couldn't do it. We did the love at first site and we would not be able to use the credit for that.. Yes i think coral and Aqua it is...i am thinking of having my girls wear both coral and some aqua dresses. Lets see how that plays out... i am thinking of having tall vases with white calla lilies and then have touches of coral and aqua...not sure if that would look good but also the price is probably ridiculous. lol Can i tell you we have not picked a package yet...this is friggin' crazy my fiance said we have to wait to see how many responses we get and i am like there is so much planning to do...omg. i dont know plus we really want the tailor made but heard there is a new package coming out.. we will see... First is trying to get everyone to book. We just got our flights for 547 which is not bad but last week they were 486 and i am kicking myself for not getting them.... bummer. Wow... Your video was so beautiful...your wedding was beautiful...actually i like how it looks on the beach. You were a beautiful bride and when you walked down the aisle i was crying with you... I am also using that wedding song how funny!!! Well my fiance and i are doing a slow song and them remixing to Promise...very nice.
