Great minds think a like! We have battery tealights. I just didn't want to waste them on my trial set up. But now that I know I will deff start stocking up on them like a mad woman. Do you have pics of your table. I would love to see. Another question for you since you've been there and done that. We were thinking about bringing down our portable Bose sound system. It may be small but it's powerful. Do you think this would work? I really REALLY do NOT want to have to pay the $350 an hour to rent their sound system and I refuse to hire a DJ. We're getting married on the beach terrace. Let me know your thoughts and thanks so much for all the insight!

Hmmm I get the notices daily and I'll see them every few months but def NOT on a monthly basis!

Not really. Ya you really have to keep an eye open for them. Both Groupong and Living Social do deals but not very often.

I am making a table runner out of burlap. I did a "mock" set up of the table tonight. I'm taking our table decor down there cuz I REFUSE to pay the AI resort a dime more than I have to!!! And I want a Nautical theme which I think wouldn't translate well trying to explain that to the WC staff. Here's a peek...btw burlap is totally cheap and comes in different colors. I'm still getting everything together but I'll be dying all the clear glass to make it look like sea glass. I went to Ikea and they have so many cute ideas and cheap stuff to help you stretch your penny. Try looking there.

Just as an FYI for any of you brides still need to get OOT stuff Ikea has some awesome stuff. We just picked up tote bags for all our OOT stuff for $0.75 in store!!! They also have travel bags for $2.99. Just LOVE that place. Also happens to be where I've got like 98% of my table decor. Anyways, check it out... http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/departments/ikea_family_products/16248/

Hiya Melissa, We are getting married just a tish south of Cancun on May 31. I can't believe we're down to the 4 month mark either. Kinda freaks me out when I think about everything I have left to do! I sent out my invites in Dec and have a RSVP date of March 01, 2013. That coinsides also with the fact that the guests have to have their trips paid off with the TA in mid April. We're doing OOT but we're not going super crazy on what's in them cuz it's more crap we have to lug down and the guests have to lug back. So we're doing hangover kits and koozies. I am bringing down on my table decor so that's another reason I'm not going crazy on the OOT. The girls here are sooooo nice and are full of great ideas. Welcome to the May Brides!! Best, Melissa

Holy Cracker Jacks! I wish I were one of your guests...these bags sound awesome. For the guys you could get shotglasses and mini liq bottles from somewhere in town. Good luck and thanks for the ideas!

Looove the idea of the maracas! I think we'll do this and give each guest one at the dinner table with a little note attached about give it a shake to see the bride and groom kiss.

Ya I would try looking online on Nordstroms if you can't get to one in person plus they have the best return policy. If you're anything like me, I'm on the larger cup size, the thought of lil stickers holding up these big girls or worse having those God awful chicken cutlets give me more then I need is my nightmare. I don't want to be one of those bride who has cleavage in all her wedding pics. No gracias! Good luck!

So now that we are getting closer to our big days I would like to ask all those who are doing OOT bags what you are putting inside. I want to start finalizing mine but would love to get some new/different ideas on what to put in them. Let me know what sort of goodies you are putting inside. Thanks!

I would do your self a favor and go get a nice bra and a proper fitting from a speciality store. I know Nordstrom offers this if you do not have any speciality undergarment stores in your area. Either way you don't want to be fighting a strapless bra on your special day so I would spend a lil extra money to make sure you're happy with your choice. Good Luck!

Although I'm not a previous bride it maybe a lil tough to get a lot of full size anythings past customs. I know that they have mini sunscreens on amazon and at the dollar store. I would save yourself some frustration and room in your bag and get the minis because you know that your guests are going to be brining sunscreen anyways. I don't know what time of year you are getting married but I've heard from previous bride that bug spray is far more valuable for their guests vs sunscreen. Most guests will remember to bring sunscreen but no one thinks about bug spray and I guess it can get pretty buggy at night or even for your excurisions if you plan to do any. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi Noxx, We're getting married 05/31/13 and I'm getting ready to send my invites out now with an RSVP date of March 01, 2013. Our trips have to be paid off 6 weeks before our take off date so that would be mid April. I wanted to give any last minute deciders time to pay the trip as well as give me a clear idea of who is in and out. But we pretty much are solid right around 25 plus or minus 3 potential guests. Our invites say Now Sapphire Riviera Maya, Mexico. Hope this helps and good luck! Best, Melissa

I don't know if you're picky about real or fake flowers. But I found an awesome site that does Real Touch flowers or just simple silk flower bouquets. Honestly, it's not like my maids are going to be holding these things for longer then 20 min and then we're using them as part of our centerpices so I'm going to use fake. Much cheaper and less stressfull than using an outside vendor. Let me know if you want the website!

I got a $10 for $50 off Living Social. I haven't used it yet cuz it wouldn't let me combine the Black Friday deals with the Living Social deal. Boooo! But I'm not complaining I got 20 invites, 20 RSVP, and 140 address lables for nothing more than s/h!! And you're right it's going to be waaaay cheaper and less stressful to do it this way. What have you got on Vista print so far? I still need to use up my cert and could use some good ideas.

I believe they let you do a rehearsal run through at the ceremony site. You have to pick a time between other ceremonies. As far as rehearsal dinner goes you have to either make a reservation at one of the restaurants or plan a private dinner by reserving their private dinner areas. Either way you'll have to pay minimum $22 pp. The most cost effective way is to hold it at the buffet. They you don't have to pay another dinner pp. It may not be as private but whatevs you'll have the fancy private dinner the next night. But that's just my thoughts...I'm a budget bride so having to pay for more meals at an AI resort doesn't make much sense. Good Luck!

Hmmm I never thought to use Micro Publisher before?!?! We just got our invites, mailing labels, and RSVP cards in. I got them free on vista print for Black Friday. Just had to pay shipping. When you go to print them check out vistaprint.com and catprint.com to see what kind of deals you can get to have them professionally done. Great job on incorporating such a cute and personal theme to your wedding!
