  1. Kelly you look so beautiful in your dress and your right it does fit you like a glove!! I bet it was hard to take off and not want to put it right back on again. Congrats and good luck on your upcoming nuptials.
  2. Again Choco you have been more than helpful. I will at some probalby pick your brain about your DIY wedding stuff and OOT bags. Thank you for being so awesome!
  3. ChocoTaco- Thanks so much for all your awesome advice. The FI and I have recently switched our wedding plans from Maui to Rivera Maya because it was so stressful and expensive for everything. Just a few more questions for you. So are you getting a DJ or are you just going to bring CDs/iPod? Also are you working with a travel agent or are you doing this all on your own? I need to find the DIY thread and get some ideas going now that we switched wedding locations. Again, thank you so much for all your input! Best Wishes!!
  4. So this is actually part of Monique Lhuilier's BM dress collection at Nordstrom but after trying on so many hot, stuffy, satiny dresses I knew this was the one. I got it in June and this is just the sample but I can't wait to put it on again when mine comes in. We added the sparkle belt for just the right amount of glitz. Not the best lighting...sorry about that.
  5. I love the layers. That will look amazing and so light and airy in the ocean breeze! Congrats!!!
  6. Thanks Tammy!!! I actually responded to that contest because he work is so amazing. As you can tell I'm a tish obsessed with wedding photography. I want something that my grandchild will be proud of and Samuel does some amazing work
  7. Hi all, What a great thread to start! My FI and I are torn between the Dreams Tulum and NOW Sapphire. Could someone who's chosen the NOW Jade tell me why they chose the Jade over the Sapphire? Also, are any of you doing the "upgraded" packages? I was just looking at the NOW Jade thread and looking over the extra costs (aka, DJ, chairs, flowers, etc) and the price seems to grow and grow. What are your plans after the ceremony and are you adding the extras? Sorry for the rapid fire questions, I'm just trying to get a handle on all of this. Congrats to you all! Thanks All, Melissa
  8. Katie- You're review was so helpful! Also you looked so amazing in the pics. If you don't mind me asking how much overall more did you say you paid extra for all the upgraded packages and what not? I'm trying to get a good idea of what we should plan on spending for the extras. Thank you so much for all you help. Samuel- Your work is beautiful. Are you one of the perferred photographers?
  9. Hi ladies, Congrats to you all on your upcoming weddings! Dreams Tulum is one of two locations my fiance and I are considering. I just wanted to see if you all are going to have a reception at home or if you are going to do the upgraded package to have the reception at Dreams? I was just looking into the NOW Jade thread, which is a sister property, and the list of costs just seems to grow past what is included in the "upgraded" packages. Anyways, if you all could let me know what you are planning to do down there and what is around the cost of everything so I can have a better of idea of what we'll be spending. Thanks All, Melissa
  10. Ever since I can remember I have always been in love with my grandparents wedding photos and I have known since then that I had to have the same awe inspiring photos that my grandparents did. I want photos that not only capture the moment but the feeling and spirit between my fiance and I. Years down the road I want our wedding photography to be something my children and grandchildren can look back on and know that was the moment that we committed to each other forever and began our true love story. Having a professional with true talent and an eye for capturing the best moments, the candid moments would be an honest blessing and we would be so grateful to be considered. Thanks!
  11. Hi All, My fiance and I were planning a Maui wedding and reception until recently. We both have a lot of older relatives and some friends that would not be able to make the trip or meet the costs to go to Maui. So we have decided on getting married in Mexico and having a reception in our hometown. Anyways, our travel agent sent us a ton of links for the Dreams and NOW resorts in Cancun/Rivera Maya. I know they're sister properties but that doesn't mean they're all a like. We don't really want to be in the hustle and bustle of Cancun. I get flashbacks to my senior trip there when I was 18 and wouldn't like a bunch of crazy drunk 18 year olds everywhere. I am leaning towards Dreams Tulum but NOW Jade and Sapphire look nice as well. Any suggestions from others? Any and all advice would be awesome. Congrats by the way to all you happily engaged brides to be!! Thanks, Melissa
