  1. I think we will ship some of the OOT bags and other small items ahead of time and then spend one day putting everything together.
  2. One of my good friends got married in Antigua when it was just the two of them there. I can ask them about how the day went. They loved it and would do it the same all over again if they had to.
  3. I was a "Best Woman" for my friend's wedding. It wasn't a big deal at all. I would pick whoever you feel is right for your special day.
  4. We sent them Save The Dates out last week, so almost a year before our wedding date. We plan on sending the formal invitations about 5 months before the wedding. I would definitely have a confirmed date before sending out the Save the Dates.
  5. 2 round trip flights 6 nights stay, we plan on spending around $2000
  6. I'm thinking of getting him a Movado watch he's had his eye on for a while and then getting the back of it engraved.
  7. I will get mine a Movado watch he's had his eye on for a while.
  8. There are so many online tools available now, that I find it easier, cheaper and quicker to book trips on our own.
  9. My fiance and I don't plan on sleeping in the same room the night before the wedding, however we will still see each other before the wedding in order to take pictures. We are having a night ceremony and we won't have that much time for pictures between the ceremony and reception.
  10. Not necessarily. We didn't want to be engaged for much more than a year, so that played a part in the date. Also, we wanted to have our wedding during the "off-season" for cost purposes, but make sure we had it towards the end of the hurricane season to reduce the risk of being affected (hopefully) . Finally, the availability of our desired location played a big part too.
  11. Based on the restrictions of our ceremony location, we won't be able to start our ceremony until 8pm, serve dinner at 9pm and start dancing, etc at 10pm! We have the hall until 2am, but I don't think that many people will be able to stay out that late. So I guess I'm having the opposite problem as you, our reception ending too late instead of too early.
  12. Since we are getting married in Puerto Rico, we're going to do something traditional to the island, such as a salsa dance.
  13. We were looking at staying at Hotel L'Esplanade (Grand Case) for our honeymoon. Has anyone stayed there or looked at this hotel before?
  14. We are getting married at El Convento in Old San Juan, but are planning on going to St. Martin/ Maarten for our honeymoon. If we had decided to honeymoon in P.R, we would have stayed at a different location such as a resort on Vieques or something else like that.
  15. I personally would still recommend Puerto Rico. By not staying at an all inclusive, it gives your guests more of an incentive to get out and see more of the island and eat different foods instead of staying on the resort most of the time. Just my two cents
  16. I havent seen any all-inclusive resorts in the traditional sense. I think El Conquistador does an all-inclusive rate package but only for food, doesn't include alcohol.
  17. That's great! He did a great job with our engagement session and we look forward to working with him for our wedding. If you go to his facebook page and look at his albums, you'll find a preview of some of the pics he took of us "Lucille & Anthony Engagement Session"
  18. Congratulations! Best of luck with the planning, we have a year and that doesn't seem like enough time! haha
  19. If you speak with Noel, he could probably work out a package to your liking.
  20. We are getting married in Puerto Rico but plan on honeymooning in St. Martin, I can't wait!
