  1. Super cute and consider it stolen!! Thanks!!!
  2. I am so sad that you are facing this. I would just forgo having a MOH. Keep everyone as BM, but ultimately, if you want a certain person, do what you want. It is your day! Not Trina's. Remind her that she had her dream day and now it is your turn. Thank her for being so helpful, but in the end it is about you and your FI. And just explain the groomsman thing...and agin rference her wedding...See how the shoe feels on the other foot!
  3. These are all so beautiful! I will def refer back to use for my future!
  4. I am thinking that after the ceremony to leave it out in our room. The sand settles, so each day we can pour more and more sand in until it is packed tight. Then, seal it with whatever comes with it. And of course, carry on!

  6. I am doing it for sure. My ideal shot is us on horseback in the water...I want it huge over our bed. I am not concerned about an AHR dress, because if we do one, it'll be what we had joked and considered for a reception had we done the wedding home, and that's a Upscale BBQ!
  7. I have 5 (one Maid of Honor, one Matron of Honor & 3 BM). They will all be paying for their dress and shoes. I will do jewelry and accessories. They are all ok with that part. I would not be able to afford everyone's attire. Same for the groomsmen.
  8. Thank you! I never realized it was sooo much to change. I forget how much I use my name. I am excited to be officially married and change my name. My BC has 5 names, I am dropping 3 and adding his.
  9. Too cute! I love props. I am a photographer, and have asked 2 of my closest photog friends to be a part of our day. I am so glad they know my style and will capture the day like I would want. I will have special shot lists for them, but otherwise, I am just going with the flow.
  10. I love the idea to give it to him as a gift on the wedding day! I want to do a shoot and had no clue what to use it for!
  11. Interesting thread. We are just starting our budget and I don't want to go over $10000 for everything...EVERYTHING!
  12. I am planning on doing a welcome dinner. It would be my way to welcome our guest to our wedding and thank them personally for attending. I would also like that time to be used for families to get to know each other. We are going to give our OOT bags at this time also. I won't be doing a rehearsal dinner, so this will take the place of it.
  13. Since you already did STD, you could use he engagement pics for table frames, or a guestbook. Or on postcards to use for a guestbook.
  14. I am excited to have children at my reception. I have a son who will be the ring bearer and 2 goddaughters who will be flower girls. I am not sure how many other people will be bringing children, but I am thinking of how to arrange a sitter for the reception and other late nights. But for the most part, this is a vacation for my family as well as a celebration of our marriage.
  15. The idea of a destination wedding came after I started a guest list for a traditional wedding. My side alone, with deep cuts, was over 200 people. NO WAY!! Then we couldn't agree on venue. He is an outdoorsy, frisbee-throwing, beach lover and I am one who could spend forever in the water. He wanted an outside wedding, I was too afraid of the weather. So when I finally asked him what he really wanted, he says, "I just want to say "I do" with my toes in the sand". We both have never traveled and thought it would be a great way for us to do so. Also, we have family & friends all over the US so we figured, a common area would be great!
  16. Hey, Kuttley, I am not until 2014, but I am game planning already. I am doing a mug style cup, key/tip holder, first aid kit with ER meds as well (combo with oh shit kit), a shot glass, welcome letter, snacks, the little water flavoring packs, & a candle so far. There are many ideas floating around!
  17. That is awesome! Do you have her contact info, I am in Philly
  18. Definite source for the holders. I am going to do the stretch keychain style instead of lanyards.
  19. I would do like others said and include them in activities (DIY dates, Girls Night Out), what I have decided was to do a special day at one of my favorite stores (LUSH Cosmetics). It is fairly inexpensive ($200 for 8 ppl) but everyone gets a $25 gift card to spend (so really no charge!) They will all get makeovers and we will have light drinks and snacks. It will be myself, my MOH, 4 bridesmaids, a good friend who is my photographer & another friend who is making all the jewelry.
