  1. Thank you so much for the link to the favors page! I found some amazingly great, yet inexpensive items!!!
  2. I recently talked to Pascal with Cariibean Emotions and he gave great quotes and info. We are likely only using them for video and TTD because we are bringing our photographers from home.
  3. Hi! If you can't reach them, try carribeanemotions! I have been chatting with them online and they do great work and are reasonable. They have a page on here. You can customize a package for yourself. I haven't used them, but I am highly interested.
  4. I received the price email literally in 5 minutes. I wasn't even off the site before I got the prices!!
  5. I must say, I am loving Pascal and the CE crew! On their website you can chat live with one of them. I enjoyed a few minutes chatting with Pascal and he offered to send me prices. He was not a pushy salesmen when I told him I didn't need a wedding photographer, just video & TTD. That is unheard of with most companies. I still have time to make a final decision, but he made me very comfortable! THANKS!!
  6. This thread just made me feel really good! I am a 2014 bride as well....date is still undecided. I originally wanted 5.11.14 which would be our 3 year anniversary, but now I am leaning more towards end of summer, around when school starts. We don't have a special date in mind at all, which is proving to be the most difficult part. I looked at options for where. My dad asked me not to do Mexico and FI doesn't want Jamaica (even though I fell in love with Iberostar) and since we are traveling to PC in May of 2013, I think it would be romantic to travel back to where we had our first vacation. I have so many ideas for our wedding and he is helping...occasionally. Once we set a date, all things are a go! Our colors are champagne & orange with "a touch of chocolate" (FI's choice). Our bridal party is picked as well as BM dresses. I have been playing with ideas for our OOT's, STDS and invitations. Guestbooks are figured. I am excited to do most of this myself (with some help) as I am a crafty person who makes everything! I even plan to hand pour the floating candles and etch the glasses for centerpieces. I am excited for everything, mainly marrying my knight!
  7. Congrats KerriAnn! I am excited for you. I am a 2014 bride and am considering DR as well. We will be visiting HRPC for a fellow DWB's anniversary/honeymoon party! We are considering the Majestic Colonial, but I look forward to hear what you think about the other resorts and enjoy the trip!!
  8. I am not looking forward to a binder, but I have my sister (the accountant) making one for me. She is helping me with this whole process and has one she used for both her & my mom's wedding. it was full of pictures and budgets and price breakdowns, contracts, receipts, etc
  9. These are awesome. My only down fall is the sizes, I am a women's 12 so ....I would have to get men's LOL...Very nice though!
  10. Very big congrats coming your way! You deserve this moment, so embrace it!!!! I plan to stalk...I mean watch (lol) your posts to see how things are coming along. This place is fantastic!!!
  11. My FI was very hands on in colors...which may be good because I am bright and funky, he is mellow...So we chose champagne & orange with chocolate for accents. I still laugh over the pillow conversations we had.
  12. I really like that combo. One not seen often. it might be hard to find exact shades, so maybe doing the color family would help ease stress!
  13. This is a gorgeous song...I have never heard it before but the flow is awesome!!!! My mom & sister both used Total Praise by Richard Smallwood in their processional (my sister walked down to someone singing it, my mom's bridal party walked down to it.) I am planning to get an instrumental version for my bridal party & parents to walk in on. i have no clue what I would come down on. This song is AWESOME for me though!!! Thanks!
  14. As you look at threads and see something nice, say it! LOL... I comment on as much as possible. I still have plenty time but I am an early riser and ready to get started.
  15. I was referred to Light In the Box and I have found my dream dress on there. I have found multiple dresses that I like but there is one that is pulling at my heart.
  16. I never saw myself as a veil person, which is good because FI laughed when I mentioned one. I am more of a big flower or bow in the hair type. I played around with the idea of a birdcage/fascinator and I don't think I will do that either. These all look amazing though...Once it gets closer, who knows...I might just change my mind.
  17. You guys all rock!! These look great! I can't wait to do mine.
  18. This looks nice. Are you using it at the gazebo or on the beach?
  19. My main idea is a family reunion style cookout. However, FI, isn't too keen on the idea. So, my other option is to rent out his home skating rink and have a fun themed party, celebrating our marriage. Play our DVD on a projector and just have a good time.
  20. When we told our parents what kind of "reception" we wanted, they thought we were crazy. We wanted an old school type, family reunion/cookout. We planned to have it catered by Famous Dave's and have it be very casual. Our have a potluck, informal, "We're Married" type thing. you guys provide the bulk of the items and dishes and have certain people bring sides.
  21. Our plan is to send one to everyone. They all might not be able to attend, but at least we considered them all!
