It is great that you'll arrive at the hotel before we leave We'll coordinate the meeting before leaving to DR. About the Save the Dates, since my guests are literally around the globe, I decided on making a video announcing them that we were getting married. It was fun, we went on a Mediterranean cruise and took a pair of groom-bride chickens (the ones I use as my forum picture) and we made photos of the chickens everywhere we went. By the way, I just looove chickens since I was a child, so my friends were like "of course, she just had to put chickens somewhere!" LOL But in my wedding I won't have chicken nor feathers, just butterflies (yes... I do love animals maybe a bit too much )

Hi Andreanna, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, it is very sad and make us think of what is really important: having our loved ones close to us in that special day of the wedding. I've been losing myself in all the tiny details, and suddendly my only sister has an hernia (nothing serious but she is quite scared of surgery) and that gets me thinking on what really matters. If you need to get to town to buy things, there is a big commercial center/supermarket (I would say a Dominican version of Target maybe) called Jumbo - this place is at La Romana (website for address and hours: http://www.jumbo.com.do/jumbo_romana.aspx ) might be easier to just go there and see what they have, instead of going to smaller shops that could take more time and maybe have less quantities. I think I might rent a car and pay a visit to Jumbo (might be 30 min drive from the hotel) to find small things for my survival kit and welcome bags. You'll see that everything will turn out just great for you, with all the unforgettable happy memories that we all wish

Good luck with all the preparations! although I feel it is still soooo far away, when I see all the papers needed I'm relief there is still time to get all that sorted out

Hi MysticalRose, I just checked my deposit form, but since mine is in Spanish it doesn't say "concept or concepto" -in Spanish- anywhere. However, sometimes they ask the "concept" for the payment in which it would be probably "wedding pack", "reservation of wedding" or something similar. Sorry that I cannot be of more help, I hope someone with English form will help you out with this!

Hi, We are getting married on April 20, 2013, at Dreams La Romana (Dominican Republic), now working with the TA to get rooms blocked and start booking the trip - also excited putting together a website to give information to all the guests, since they are in many different countries, lot of things to do and quite happy with all the planning, I just love organizing things!!!

I really liked the Disney card, so sweet! For my MOH I'm ordering a charms bracelet, and since she is a big fan of Hello Kitty, I'm adding a small Hello Kitty face charm, maybe it would be nice to go with a Hello Kitty card... but that would be too much since she is over 30! LOL

I'm new in the forum and have been reading non-stop for a while, lots of useful information and great ideas, brides here are so creative I'm just amazed! I'm also getting married at Dreams La Romana on April 20, 2013. The ceremony will be at the Gazebo (cocktail probably in the same garden), and the reception at the Seaside Grill. I love the wedding reviews, they are so helpful, and the planning threads are also great, I'm very happy that I found this forum )

Hi, I'm also getting married in April in Dominican Republic (April 20th), only that it will be at Dreams La Romana - like 2 hours away from Punta Cana. I'm also very excited and sometimes I feel it is far away, but other times I start getting nervous with all that we have to do (we just got engaged in June, so barely starting to find out about all the paperwork and so on). Do you already have your dress? I just started looking for it, and sometimes I wonder if I'll find "The One"! Good luck with the preparations!
