I'm an ivory fan as well... plus a few of the bridal consultants I spoke to said that the current trend is ivory... don't know if this is true but they also said that most of the dresses in magazines are shot in ivory.
I've set my RSVP dead line 2 months before my wedding... Also because alot of the contracts we have need to be finalized 45 days before the wedding. I figure we'll just have to call (get our mothers to call) those who don't RSVP by the dead line.
I am actually bringing a few of my own things down just to save costs. I bought artificial white flower balls on string at Homesense which I'm planning on hanging on the end of the aisle chairs. A lot cheaper then real flowers.
Yeah its such a touchy subject. I don't know if I have it in me yet (we'll see as the stress level goes up) that they can't come. I was talking to a friend who got married last year DW. He said that he had no problem telling about 7 people who his parents invited that he or the bride did not know: Your more then welcome to come to the destination but sorry you can't come to the wedding. Could you do that!
I am so lucky that my FI brother lives in NY. Shipping is so much cheaper if not free for most things! Now I just have to make a trip down to get everything.
I don't know if its because I live in Canada... but I haven't found most of the things you guys have found( i.e Aloe, chapstick, bags ect) I guess I got to keep checking!
Thanks for the ideas. Like the idea of golf balls since I think most of the guys are going to do a day of golf! LOVE the poker set idea. Too bad they don't ship to Canada.
