I think it will be beautiful! I don't want to spend a fortune on flowers either, Someone gave me some brand new small lanterns( still in the box) so I think we will use those. I'll probably do the seashell and starfish thing to fill in a little.

I would just say "Oh, by the way the STD's were xxxx, so you owe me xxx" but I'm pretty blunt like that! LOL!

You are killing me....I feel like we are soooo not crafty after looking at these! (Actually I'm NOT crafty! LOL) These are amazing and your guests will love them!

I think we are going to do a wedding lasso and after the ceremony use it down the table with lanterns as a centerpiece,,,not sure yet, We are going to give out bags before the wedding with luggage tags, a couple of Coronas, a letter saying how excited we are to have them share our special day, and a few other things,,,,I don't want to haul it all to Mexico and I think it will help get people excited for the trip!

I agree about the extras...especially center pieces...they are crazy expensive. We are going to try to keep it simple. Sapphire is beautiful and doesn't need a bunch of stuff!

Where are you getting married? Why do you think she is lying and about what? What a horrible feeling that would be. We haven't had much contact with our WC because we are so far out, but I hope she is pretty responsive as we get closer.

How far along in the planning process is everyone on this thread? We are really just getting started. Have the dress. Just ordered STD's. Have the wedding booked. How close to your date did you start talking to the wedding coordinator at your resort? Ours wants the planning sheet 1 to 2 months before.

How many of you are having 2014 weddings at Now Sapphire? I t seems this thread is slowing down just when we are getting started! LOL!

You're missing 55 on your RSVP date? That is unbelievable...I try to fill mine out when I get them and mail them back the next day so I don't forget. People can be so rude....

Thanks, that helps a lot! I think we will send the STD's in late Oct. Invites in late March with an RSVP by mid to late May. Thanks so much for the input...I was going crazy trying to figure it out!

How far out did everyone send their invitations? We are sending STD's In Oct. for an Oct.2014 wedding, but can't figure out when is appropriate to send the invitations. Then how long did you give people to RSVP? I know that if they book through our TA they have until Sept. 1 to pay in full. I want to get the invites out early enough that those that need to make payments have time to do that, but I don't want to send them so early that people forget about them. Arrrgggghhhh.....Why does it have to be so complicated?

Only 42 to go....When did you all send out invitations? The wedding is 10/25/2014. We are going to send STD's this Oct. but can't figure out when to send Invitations. Also, how long did you give for RSVP's? I guess I need to do some more research! Oh, and have any of you incorporated a Mexican (or whatever country you are getting married in) tradition into your ceremony? If so, what did you do? We found a picture of a "wedding cord" ceremony that looks really nice and are considering using it in ours. We would use a rope of flowers instead of a cord. Just something from the culture of the country to add to the ceremony.

Good news all around! Glad things are working out for you! We are at the beginning of planning and it seems a little overwhelming....I thought this would be much easier than planning an at home wedding, but now I realize a DW has it's own challenges! Oh, well, I guess nothing good is easy!

Question for all of you....how far in advance did you send your save the dates? Our wedding is Oct. 25, 2014 and I just ordered save the dates. I will be moving to another state in Aug. or Sept. and really kinda wanted to grt these done before then, but my FH's sister is having a DW in Oct. of this year and I don't want to send them out before her wedding if it will make her uncomfortable. Should I just wait until we get back from her wedding? Would it bother you if you were her? Any advice would be appreciated.

We are planning to do something similar, The wedding is in Mexico, so we plan to send out luggage tags, a Corona or two, some Mexican candy, along with typical OOT bag stuff with a letter sayinf how excited we are that they will be joining us.
