When do you leave, Kimberly?

32 days! I feel like we're ready! At this point I just want to be there! All of the wedding stuff is packed up and ready to go. Fighting with the WC over the sound system so I think I will just go buy a Bose....no more projects...if it's not done by now it's not getting done! LOL!

I bought the wooden fold up ones...thought the rafia ones would be bulky to pack!

I ordered wooden fans and tied a ribbon in our colors around them . We're going to put them on the chairs for the ceremony to add a little more color. (and to keep guests cool on the beach through the ceremony!)

Hair and make-up booked...private transfers booked... sent in planning form and spoke with Juan about flowers...photograpy taken care of...welcome letters done...I think we're ready! 42 days until we leave!

I found white metal lanterns on clearance at Target. We are using those with a wooden letter and small vases of flowers. Cheaper than a large flower centerpiece! I was able to fit all 5 lanterns in one suitcase along with a lot of other stuff! We are only having 29 people though.

Prices are crazy for lighting !...We are just using lanterns with candles on the tables and whatever lighting is there. I asked about starfish to line the aisle and they quoted me $20 per starfish...crazy! I will be taking starfish, thank you! It seems like anything extra you add is really expensive!

Just wanted to let you all know that since we are under 60 days out I am getting great response time from Juan Carlos. We were going to wait until we got there to decide on flowers and such, but he actually asked if we wanted to email him pictures of what we want and he will get a quote from the florist for us!

We have so much stuff to carry to Mexico that I decided to just go ahead and do flowers from the Resort florist. Expensive, but less hassle! I think it was our one splurge! We have 29 people total going...We really tried to keep it to the 25 that the package covers, but ended up with a few extra! Katie suggested City Hall, but we convinced her that she would regret not doing a little something special so we ended up doing destination! I have already packed up what I could. We are taking table runners, napkins, chair sashes, wooden letters, and lanterns for the tables. Wooden fans, thank you gifts and cards. We are debating hand delivering OOT bags a few weeks before the wedding so we don;t have to lug that stuff down! I want this trip to be fun and relaxing for everyone, so I am trying to figure out how to do as much as I can before we get there, and then leave it in the hands of the WC! January will be here before you know it! We started planning almost two years ago and it seemed like forever, but it's flying by the closer we get! Glad to here people were happy with Juan Carlos...I have heard amazing things about Ramon, though! Oh, and thanks for the salon pricing! It's about what I thought it would be! We visited the resort last summer and kinda checked then, but was wondering if prices had gone up much!

Just got an email from Anel saying that Juan Carlos will be our WC! Were past brides happy with him? I have heard such great things about Ramon that it kind of makes me nervous not to have him! I think we are just about finished with the things we can do at home...getting excited and can't wait to go!

I think that all I have left to do for Katie's wedding is the welcome letter and fill out the resort planning form. I have most of the decorations and favors packed up and ready to roll! Showers this coming weekend. I am hoping to get by with 4 suitcases between my husband and myself. Katie will take her dress. Debating whether or not to make napkin rings since I have some time...can't decide... We are just waiting to hear from 3 people as to whether or not they are coming....Gave the response cutoff as Aug. 22nd. and wish I had made it sooner! Hoping I haven't forgotten something major! It just feels too easy after months of stress!

My daughter is getting married at Sapphire in October. I refuse to pay that much for lanterns! We will party in the dark before I pay that!

I think we have decided to mail the OOT bags to guests a few weeks before we leave along with luggage tags and pre-travel brochures...I think I would rather pay the postage than drag all of that stuff to Mexico and pay the extra baggage fees! What do you all think? Kimberly, did you ever figure out your centerpieces?

So what is everyones wedding dates and how are you doing with your planning?

Hey, Kimberly! How's the planning going? I think we are about done other than figuring out how to get it all there. On vacation this week and plan on packing some of it up when I gt home just to see how many suitcases I need! LOL! Also trying to plan a baby shower for my niece and keep getting distracted with wedding stuff!

It seems to be quiet in this forum these days. How is everyones planning going? We are 4 months away from my daughter's wedding and things are starting to fall into place. I started planning a looooong time ago and am glad I did. Now I can kinda relax and enjoy! I'd love to know where everyone else is in their planning.

We are going to do a lasso ceremony to add a little Mexico to a Mexican wedding!

It gets pricey for anything over the 25 included in the package! You could make some of that up by using an outside florist and bringing your own linens etc, but it's still going to add up! We have 130 days left until my daughter's wedding! (So excited!) I am just starting to add up all of the extra costs but now we have people that we thought were not going to make it booking and I am starting to get nervous!

How many chair sashes and napkins do you need? We have 60 chair sashes and 30 napkins in coral for my daughters wedding in October. Wont be needing them after. Let me know if you are interested

Are you using their sound system for your reception? If so, let me know if it is compatable with an I-phone 4 or 5 or an I-pad. Thanks!

Has anyone thought of doing the lasso ceremony as part of their wedding? We are thinking of incorperating it into the ceremony and wondered how much they charged for the flower lasso.
