Don't know if this will help or not, but I was in Mexico last summer and used my charge card for a small purchase and there wasn't any additional fee.

I can't seem to access your links, any idea what I'm doing wrong? Pictures are so helpful with the planning!

Just sent the deposit off for my daughters wedding. We requested Oct. 25, 2014 with a beach wedding and cocktail hour and reception on the tequilla terrace. We're sooooo excited! I was wondering how long it took everyone to get a confirmation. I actually sent it off to the travel agent and she will forward it to the resort. You all are scareing me on the price....I was hoping to keep the price down...any suggestions?

My daughter has also decided to only have a maid of honor and best man....no drama!

Relax and enjoy....this only happens once! If it doesn't get done it will still be perfect. You can't sweat the minor details! We have decided that we don't want to drag all the stuff for OOT bags to Mexico, so we are going to deliver (and mail a few) them a couple of weeks before the wedding! We are including some really cute luggage tags that we put together and a couple of Coronas along with the normal OOT stuff and a letter telling people how excited we are that they chose to spend this special time with us. Hoping this gets people excited for the trip....and save me some luggage space!

I would like to know about the upgrade and free rooms also. Getting ready to reserve for 06/2014 for my daughter's wedding! We're hoping to keep it a little smaller, but just getting started, so who knows?

We have decided that we don't want the hassle of trying to get everything to the resort and are thinking of delivering the OOT bags a week or two before the trip with a letter saying how excited we are to spend time with our friends and family. ( And maybe sneak a bottle or two of Corona into the bags!) I know it;s cheating, but I really don't want to drag all that to Mexico along with chair sashes etc! I would love to know the answer to how long the walk is also!

How exciting! We are getting ready to book my daughter's wedding for June 2014! I think I'm more excited than she is!

We were at Sapphire last June and sad to say, we were in bed by 11-1130 each night. We were there for sun and relaxation and weren't looking to party' so we made no effort to stay up. We were up each morning by 6.30! We did go into the disco a time or two just to check it out and never saw another soul in there, so it might be a good place to take over after your reception! It might liven up later... we were always early! We did go to the shows each evening and they were good....not Las Vegas good...but fun entertainment for the evening! I know they had music in the lobby after the shows, but we never stuck around for that, so I'm sorry to say I can't help you there! I can say that Sapphire looks exactly like the pictures...it is beautiful! Wedding pictures should be stunning! This is the resort my daughter is thinking of getting married at. She has looked and done a lot of research and really can't find another resort she likes as well. The food was good...never had a problem finding something we liked, and LOVED not having to make a reservation! The beach was very nice and the seaweed was there, but never kept us out of the ocean...it wasn't the kind that wraps around your leg and freaks you out! We had a standard room and it was very nice. I have no complaints about the resort at all. Everything was great. We saw several wedding set-ups while we were there. One very small and another that was very large, and both were beautiful! I really don't think you could go wrong at Sapphire! Kim

Thanks, Mandy! The wedding packages are similar, and that's what is making it so hard to decide. Visited NOW Sapphire last summer and loved it but I'm sure we would love excellence too! The reviews on both are great! I guess what I need to look at is the cost for guests...Too many choices is my downfall! I signed up for the webonair for excellence, so maybe that will help!

Did any of you Excellence brides consider NOW Sapphire for your wedding? If so, what made you decide on Excellence? We are trying to decide between the two resorts and any input would be appreciated!

I would love to see the NOW resorts added...especially Sapphire.

Great idea, Melissa! Thanks! At this point I think I am more excited than she is! She is busy studying for boards...( just graduated Nursing ). I can't wait for her to pass boards so we can get on with the planning! She hasn't even decided on a date yet! We do have the dress...( it's beautiful! of course!) and she knows she wants Now Sapphire. We visited over the summer and fell in love with the resort...so I guess that's a start! This thread just made her want Sapphire even more. Love the way everyone is so helpful! You are all amazing! Kim
